Spike flashed his fangs in annoyance at the man before walking up beside Layla and glaring dangerously at the bartender. "Sup Cole." Chuckled Spike calmly before glancing at the male beside Layla.

"Whoa Spike, this your girl?" Chuckled Cole having not noticed the blonde haired vampire.

"Nah, she's a friend." Chuckled Spike.

"That's what you said about the last on-" Spike cut his sentence short when he slapped his hand over Cole's mouth. "Shut up!" Spike growled under his breathe.

Layla sighed and looked at Cole curiously, (He's kinda handsome...) she thought. "Uh, I just want a job!" she said in mock frustration.

"Shocker, you ain't drunk for once.." Chuckled Spike raising an eyebrow when he glanced at Layla.

"Not drunk..Hung over.. I've got one of the worst head aches ever," Mumbled Cole in reply.

Layla saw Spike glance at her but she ignored it, she looked at the bartender."Can somebody get me a job here?" she asked him.

Spike chuckled softly before giving the bartender a low and dangerous death stare silently flashing his sharp and blood stained fangs before turning back to Cole.

Layla smacked Spike, "You shouldn't scare humans!" she whispered and looked back at him .

The bartender flinched but then pointed to a man sitting in a chair, "Ask him." he said but never took his eyes off Spike.

Layla nodded and walked over to the man, "Hi I'm Layla Smith, could I get a singing job here?" she asked.

The man looked at her and patted his lap, "Sit down a while babe and I'll see if I can hook you up." he chuckled.

Spike growled in annoyance his eyes flicking at the man. "Hey son, set my pal up with a shot of whiskey here." Sneered Cole.

"Shut it Cole, you know I don't drink.."

Layla glared at the man, "Uh let me see about that....not in your life." she sneered.

The man smiled and flashed his fangs, "Perfect then." he smirked and grabbed her arm.

Layla gasped and started to punch and kick him, "Spike, Cole!" she yelled when he grabbed her waist.

Spike's head shot up in alarm, "I told you this damned place was full of it." Snapped Spike before balling up his fist and aiming a blow at the mans nose. He knew most people around the bar carried switch blades and pocket knives so he had to be careful around these people.

"Whoa," Cole quickly dropped his shot of whiskey before skidding over to the two, Spike had the man handled now he had to get Layla away from him.

The man growled and smacked Spike in the jaw.

Layla yelped when he squeezed her arm really hard.
