Dane put his hand around her throat and pried her hand off of the doorknob, "Wait til night." he hissed.

As soon as his hand touched her throat, she lost it. He had unknowingly wrapped his hand around the bite wounds, and that made her even more aware of them. She used her other arm to elbow him in the face and she simultaneously kneed him as hard s she could between the legs. Then she wrenched her hand free and lunged away from him, holding her neck.

Dane yelled and fell to his knees, he growled in a mixture of annoyance and pain.

Sam glared at him, her hand still on her neck. "What'd you expect me to do, let you choke me?!", she yelled.

Dane stood up and looked at Sam, "Most people step backwards." he growled.

"Most people don't choke girls for opening doors!", she argued, throwing her hands.

Dane laughed harshly, "Most people don't find sun lethal."

"Most people aren't vampires.", Sam said quietly. Her hand automatically reached for the twin holes in her neck.

Dane looked at her, "Exactly."

Sam glared and bit her lower lip, not breaking skin. She was wondering wether or not she should stay outside at dawn.
