Sierra rubbed the back of her head, "Okay Allie, I guess I'll see ya later." she said and started to walk away.

Layla looked at Dane, "I'm sorry I snapped at you." she said.

Dane shook his head, "You were right." he said.

Mila could feel the heat. She could see the flames, licking her. Fire was everywhere. Fire, and death was now her world. She screamed again, her voice fading. She was dying. Suddenly her screams became agonizing and filled with coughing as the fire a smoke closed in. No one knew she was here. She was alone. Left alone to suffer.

Austin looked around. He knew someone was dying. Why didn't anyone help. He closed his eyes, letting himself move mentally closer to the victim. His eyes snapped open as the suffering almost overwhelmed him. Fire, nearby. He ran towards the billowy haze of smoke that was continually growing larger by the second on the otherside of town.

Austin rushed past the crowd. The firefighters weren't here yet, and even if they were, they would never make it to the burning teen inside. He jumped over the white picked fence, forced open the front door, and ran up the stair two at a time. He could hear her in the room to the right.

Austin flung open the door. He could see a huddled form of someone in the back of the room. He ran over and stared. No one but him could save her now. "Do you want to live?" He asked. She stared at him like he was crazy. And he probably was. "Yeah, I guess.." "Okay then." Austin bent forward and bit her on her arm. She jumped. "What was that?" She screamed, strength flooding back into her. "Shut up, someone will hear you." He said. For a second it looked like she would say more, but Austin glared. "I'll explain everything later." He said, picking her up and carrying her outside through the backdoor and back into the streets.

Mila clutched the bite mark. "But why did you bite me?"

Austin sighed. "You said you wanted to live. And you will, technically." He set her down underneath an apple tree.

Mila frowned. "Okay...So why did you bite me?" Austin glanced around. "Because it would save you. I'mvampire, and so are you." Mila shook her head. "No, no. Vampires? No. Nothing like that is real." She said in disbelief. Austin smiled. "That's offensive!" Mila didn't return the smile. "That would have been nice to know!!!" She exclaimed. Austin shrugged. Mila gave an exasperated scream, sigh mix. "And to do it to a complete stranger... What kind of person, freak are you???!!!!"
Austin stood up, suddenly looking threatening looking. "I'm not a person. And neither are you. And were not freaks." Mila scooted away slightly.
