"christ almighty!" the scientist yelped, startled by the sudden appearance of a well dressed, fine looking man. Losing his train of thought as now he diverted his attention to the answers this man was giving him, each one intriguing him more and more. Was he really in 2019?! That's almost a whole century since he build the portal to the constant! How is this possible?!
Wilson took a deep breath, as he was visibly freaking out at the thought that last time he was on earth, television was just made of commercial use, now it's a common occurrence, and it's in colour! It was simply too interesting to be weirded out by this odd character he just stumbled upon. "A-Ah.. yes? It very much does, if- if you don't mind answering another question, who are you...? I've never seen you before, it's always much better to get to know someone before speaking, no?" the scientist blurted out, stuttering and stumbling over his words every now and again. trying to be as nice as one possibly could in a situation like this. This guy gave him the creeps, but, he did seem knowledgeable, so getting to know seemed like the best thing to do.[/color]

Taako was just as ready for the world as the world was ready for Taako.
That means, he wasn't, at all. All he knew if that he woke up and he was no longer in his room, and his two idiots were missing, but, he though, what was the worse thing that could happen? He's been through much worse, this just seemed like an odd event that he had to get through in one way or another, or, maybe this was a test by he bureau to see how well he would work without backup!
Well too bad for them, because Taako worked perfectly fine alone. All he needed to do is getting accustomed to this strange little town, weren't the candles fire hazards?
Didn't matter, this wasn't his town, after a quick look around, he decided to look inside on of the local establishments, a cute, cozy diner. Damn, he would kill for some grub, and hey, nothing said more about a town than their food standards.
After going into the small building,he felt like he stuck out like a sore thumb, as almost everyone in there were humans, and looked relatively... Normal. Meanwhile he's there with his cloak and tall hat, and overall elvish features, but you know what? Taako couldn't have it any other way, with a grin now on his face, be looked around and was almost immediately confused, what was that gray box in the corner? How could it show moving pictures??? It looked exactly like what he saw in Lucas's lab... He couldn't be in the future, could he?!
Taako didn't want to think about that, he had here for food, not existential questions about his current situation. After ignoring what he just saw he went to sit down on one of the stools of the surprisingly nice bar, not wanting to take up a whole table. He gently placed his umbrella on the side of his stool, keeping a hand close to it just in case. Even in a place like this, he knew not to trust a single person.
He looked over to a rather scruffed looking human man, ah, humans and their imperfections, it couldn't help but to be charming. Of course,not yet noticing the man's curious lack of eyes. "excuse me, sir?" he said in a surprisingly polite way, not wanting to mess anything up yet, it wasn't the time.

It was more like Connor had stumbled upon Wilson. Technicalities aside, Connor had no idea if it was considered rude to scan people, but it was most likely fine. Said quick scan didn’t reveal anything that wasn’t obvious already.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you. My name is Connor. I’m - “ the android sent by Cyberlife, but Cyberlife was yet to be established. Perhaps he should… say something else. He paused, before coming “...What I meant to say was, I am currently employed by the Elderwick Police Department."

Good save, Connor! He'd leave, now, but it seems he's accidentally started up a conversation. That wasn't what he intended. Oops. "You seem... uncomfortable. Is everything alright?

Ugh.

Where are half of the staff, anyway? Let’s say, for roughly since he’s clocked in, he’s been running back and forth as more people trickle in. (Minus the part where he hid underneath a counter.) Since when was it considered okay to simply yell at wait-staff instead of patiently waiting for them to come over? Since when was it alright to not tip? The second he leaves this job and moves onto nicer things, he swears, next time he eats out, if there’s even a next time… Someone calls for a generic “sir”, and he gives it five seconds to hear their voice again, hopefully now talking to someone else, but it doesn't come. Curses.

Fine. He makes his way, pulling out that little notebook that it seems every waitress on Earth has, but you can never find it in stores, or anywhere on the planet, maintaining a rather blank expression. Even him asking, "What can I do for you?" is weighed down with a monotone voice drenched in exhaustion. He's just plain old tired, and that's it.

the last thing Wilson was planning on doing was having a conversation with someone from the police department, but, if they were part of the whole thing. Asking more questions wouldn't hurt, right? They did seem very knowledgeable after all.
"e-erm- nice being acquainted with you, Connor! The name's Wilson."he quickly introduced himself, his voice being all kinds of strange, just speaking at all was very strange to him, after so many years of but having his voice, finally being able to communicate in English was definitely a relief, burbone that took time for his body to get used to. "oh no, not at all! I just, haven't spoken in a while, no worries!" He blurted out after his comment, now completely focused on Connor rather than his notes, or any other of his concerns. 'i-if you don't mind me asking- how come you know do mi h about... Everything that has happened in the past century? Do you perhaps know how odme of is got here? Or what his place is?" he asked, not genuinely curious, and one might even say confused.

this took the high elf by surprise, well that was no way to work in the service industry! He wasn't sure how things were here, heck, he didn't know how humans did it, but from his own experience as a professional chef, he knew that making a show was key! There was a reason why he introduced magic into his cooking after all! To make a show, to entertain! The more people were amazed, the more they wanted, and the more he earned! This was just uninviting at best, but, he would give it a try for now, maybe things really were different with humans. "oh! Well I didn't even look at the menu, alright-" he said as he frantically sat up right, noticing how there was something terribly off with this guy, but, might as well continue. "well, why not give me the chef's favorite? Chef's specialty? Just, the thing ya do right, you know?" the elf said in an all too casual way, he didn't read the menu, he had no idea what people are here, might as well let them do the work for his mistakes.

"I miss little innsmouth" the cat feral huffed suddenly. She wasn't sure how long she's been in this little town, but it was enough to make her terribly homesick.
She missed the smell of molding wood, and all the friendly folks back at home... She missed everything, and this place was just not good enough for her!
It was too calm, peaceful, boring! And the others were just as boring as the town itself! It was almost exclusively humans. No parasites, no living weapons, no nothing! How was that any fun?!
Ms. Fortune huffed, adjusting on her spot in the roof of one of the buildings, it was a good spot for napping, bugs were a common occurrence though... And let's not forget the weird glances by people walking by.
Talking about people walking by, a quick glance at the ground below for her interested in one specific person, it was a relatively normal looking guy, with the exception of his gloves, what's up with that? It's not even cold!
But, he seemed to be normal enough to be easy to mess around with. So the feline got up, stretching out with a satisfied purr, once done, she went to the edge of the building, peaking down once the guy was close enough, a warm, friendly look on her face as her loud "NYCE TO SEE YA!" the second she popped up.

"Um!" Sebastian was startled. His ahoge shot up. "Sorry, you surprised me... Hi." Sebastian's hair still was in the air and his eyes were still rather wide. He wasn't expecting any socialization despite most of the chaos. He was pretty sure he was the most normal one here. He pulled out his baton and started fiddling with it.

Echo and Kai finish their meal and head outside. They dawdle around in the streets, trying to waste time. Echo looks at her watch before turning to Kai. "We have around an hour before we head back to the office. Assuming we don't have any emergencies. What should we do?" Kai strolls up to a wooden bench outside the local flower shop and hops on it before flopping over. "How about a nap?" He suggests. Echo chuckles and joins him, taking in the sight of the town as Kai snores away. She eventually gets bored and starts shooting spirals of snow out of her hand.

Carmen~ Catherine and I were walking in town. Catherine and I came across two people(Echo and Kai). Catherine and I were in our normal clothes. “Hello there who are you guys?” I asked Echo and Kai. I nudged Catherine I knew she was playing a game.

Catherine~ Carmen nudged me and I paused my game and put my phone in my pocket and took the earbuds out. I was so close to beating the level I was on. I used to get mad at Carmen for nudging me to get me to stop playing the game. But I got used to it and now I don’t get mad at Carmen anymore.

Echo startles and the snowflakes turn to ice shards. She hastily draws back her hand, narrowly avoiding a nasty poke. "Oh, hi!" She says cheerfully. "I'm Echo, the local doctor. This this is Kai". She pokes the sleeping fox. "I don't think I've seen you around before, is that right?" She asks?

Kai lets out a disgruntled snort as he is awoken from his dream. He looks up and practically blushes with embarrassment when he realizes he was sleeping in the presence of company. "Oh, I hope you didn't mind me napping." He says quickly. "It would have been nice if someone had woken me up as soon as you guys had arrived, though!" He says as he inclines his head toward Echo, earning an indignant look from her. "I'm Kai, by the way! I guess you could say I'm the doctor's assistant." He says after taking in their scents.

Carmen~ “Don’t worry about it, Catherine and I didn’t mind the napping, I have to nudge Catherine all the time if she’s playing a video game, my names Carmen Sandiego just call me Carmen.” I said to Echo and Kai.

Catherine~ “My names Catherine Gregorovich call me Catherine, nice to meet you Echo and Kai.” I said to Echo and Kai. Carmen and I didn’t want to tell Echo and Kai that we are Professional thieves. “Carmen and I have never seen a talking fox and an ice angel before.” I said to Echo and Kai.

Echo laughs. "Oh, you would be surprised at what you could find here. I wants came across someone who was spliced with the DNA of a seal. Their tail looked pretty cool, though!"

"Well, I'm not exactly a talking fox." Kai explains. "I used to be just a normal fox running around in the woods, until Echo came and cast part of her soul into me. Then, I gained a soul, the conscience, and the ability to speak any language that Echo can speak in. I'm trying to master my French at the moment! Echo can also shape-shift! Unfortunately, I don't think I can do that."

Catherine~ Carmen and I looked at each other. “Carmen is human and I am not.” I said to Echo and Kai. I looked around to see if any cops were around and there wasn’t.

Carmen~ “Catherine is something called a magical thief girl, Catherine and I are professional thieves, we only steal from other thieves that work for V.i.l.e, Catherine hates v.i.l.e more than me because they killed her whole family.” I said to Echo and Kai. “Please don’t tell anybody.” I said to Echo and Kai.

Catherine- “I went to a boarding school in Russia where I am from, it’s called Magical Theif Girls Academy.” I said with my russian accent to Echo and Kai. I wanted to go back to my game.
