The call was made. It may have been spoken by a voice he would not be too familiar with yet, but Rhodie was more than ready in response to calls like this. Trained like a soldier, young Ironwood made his way to base camp, proceeding in a fast walk not too far from a light jog. His shield rested on his backside, kind of like a turtle shell. As always, he was equipped with his armor-like clothing, and the solid snow white was clear indication he was basically an Atlas Mechanical Soldier, only he was flesh and bone. For the most part, anyways. He breathed in the Vale air with a light smile on his face, rather pleased with the warm temperature compared to Atlas' chilly feel. He wasn't nervous at all; this was basically like his field exercises back home.
"GAHH!" Han yelled, holding his ears in pain. From what he was told, he knew an initiation test would begin before team placement, so he was already dressed and equipped to go. Not only did he not expect the announcement to happen with such a volume, but he just so happen to be in spitting distance to one of the P.A speakers, so the poor bat faunus ended up with a minor headache thanks to his ultra sonic hearing. "Gonna need to watch out for those while I'm here..." Han muttered, salty with the school's lack of volume management.
Yawning up a storm, a very tired and groggy Slater made his way to Headmaster Toman and the spot teachers were gathering. Another night without a wink of sleep, the dark haired man was mentally kicking himself, annoyed he ended up watching the night go by the day before Initiation Day. He reached into his coat for his cigarettes and lighter, though his tired self went through the wrong one, with his hands on his locket. He sighed, and went to the proper pocket. "I just can't seem to stop...hopefully I can get a boost for the test." He said quietly, lighting himself a smoke. With a deep exhale, energy started rushing in. It wasn't the best way to wake up, but Slater didn't have much other choice.
