- The blondeโs smile widened as Zach replied and took a bite of his porridge. That was better, she couldnโt have sat in silence and allowed him to get on a broom when he hadnโt even touched his breakfast. It was the most important meal of the day after all, and if he was going to need energy on any day, it would most likely be this one.
Looking to Lyssa as she began to talk, Flo popped the last strawberry from her plate into her mouth and listened intently. In all honesty, talk of Quidditch meant nothing to her - she couldn't name a single player from the Hufflepuff team off the top of her head and had hardly gone to watch the matches last year due to lack of interest. But knowing her friends were in their final year of playing for the team, she figured going to watch could be exciting.
Suddenly, three Ravenclaw students approached and the group fell silent as they wished the players luck. It all seemed friendly enough, but there seemed to be some sort of underlying tension that she couldn't quite figure out. As Lyssa spoke up, the girl ducked her head. It wasn't that she couldn't handle confrontation, she just preferred to avoid it where possible. The group soon left, and Flo smiled at Lyssa as she explained she needed to cut in, "Well from the sounds of it, you don't need luck anyway - though I suppose it wouldn't have hurt to accept it. Maybe they were just being nice?" She knew that may be considered weak or naive, especially considering her company, but part of her couldn't help but hope it was true.
Zach stood, signalling it was time to head to lessons and Flo was almost disappointed. It was no fun being younger, especially when it meant she had different classes and a different schedule. Still, she stood too and said, "I'm gonna catch up with some of the others in my class. I'll see you guys at tryouts." With that, she left the group, hurrying to catch up with some others that she knew would be in her Transfiguration class.
