- spacer"Mm. I'm afraid I don't know what half of those things are anyway," Lucifer said after Jack rattled off a list of things that didn't quite make sense, but didn't totally sound fake either. The only 'portal' Lucifer knew of was the gateway he had created between universes. His mother had gone on to live in that world, wherever or whenever it existed. Now with all of this alternate world talk, Lucifer wondered if perhaps his and Jack's world were actually connected. He stared down at the kid, his eyes narrowing slightly. The possibility of Jack actually being a part of his mother's new world was a concept that thought up and quickly shoved off. No way. Too weird, and way too close to home.
spacer"Oh, why am I not surprised?" Lucifer commented, referring to what Jack had said about his God abandoning Heaven. The part about the other angels and their wings bothered him as well. "It sounds like your version of Dad is just as heartwarmingly negligent as mine. Sometimes I wonder if he actually went off on a jaunt by himself and left us behind. Not like any of us would know if he did." Though he would never admit it, Lucifer was finding Jack more and more interesting every time he opened his mouth. Of course, he was rather fascinated by the idea of an alternate version of himself, regardless of how Jack had described the other Lucifer. When he had the chance, he was definitely going to talk to the kid. There were several questions that surfaced in his mind that were begging to be addressed. Jack was a strange individual, if not but a little clueless about...well, everything. His conversation with himself about birds seemed to prove that.
spacerIah, however, was not nearly as enjoyable. Lucifer had already made it clear to the boy that he didn't appreciate his snarky comments, but it didn't seem to be doing him any favors. If anything, it was only prompting Iah to go at it even more. Lucifer was starting to wonder how the kid would hold up in a fight. "'Lucemon'?" He questioned, the name similarity sparking his interest. "Do you also have an alternate version of me romping around your universe? That would be quite curious." When Iah took off and left the rest of the group on the beach, there was a bit of awkward silence as they waited for him to return. Thankfully he didn't take long appear back and report his findings.
spacer"Well then, I suppose that settles it," Lucifer said, agreeing with Javier. "Onwards to...whatever it might be." Javier's question about weapons prompted an amused smile from Lucifer, and he quickly glanced at Iah and Jack. "I don't carry what most might call conventional weapons; I don't have a need for them. Perks of being an immortal." He winked playfully at Jack. "But besides my rather long list of proficiencies, I wouldn't call anything 'magical' so to say. Divine would be a better word."
spacerAs Javier started off towards the trees, Lucifer followed along, walking parallel to the other man. Part of him was a bit hesitant to head into an unknown forest, especially since he and everyone else knew so little about their current environment. If something bad did happen, dense trees tended to make taking off a whole hell of a lot harder. Javier's move to grab his bat drew Lucifer's attention, and he couldn't help but give an amused snort. "What are you going to do with that? Club a tiger to death?"
