At the mention of a video game called walking dead, Javier frowned and tilted his head. Why would there be a video game named walking dead? Nobody could have predicted the apocalypse nor the idea of dead people walking. He was incredibly confused by that. But the main thing that confused him was how Max apparently didn’t see any of the walking dead before. How didn’t he after all these years of the apocalypse? Even if he was in a camp, Javier was sure that he would have at least seen one or heard about them at the start of the apocalypse. ”You’ve never seen a muerto?” While the answer was obvious, the baseball player still wanted to make sure, ”Consider yourself lucky, kid.” He continued, frowning and shaking his head when Mac began to talk about seeing ghosts. While ghosts sounded impossible to Javier, he had to consider he was the one talking about people walking around after death. ”I’ve never met a ghost before.” He explained and shook his head again, ”Just the muertos. But I imagine a ghost would be nicer company, they wouldn't try eating you.”
The mention of food made Javier suddenly realise how hungry he actually was. Looking around at their surroundings, he frowned thoughtfully before he turned to look at Max once again, ”Well, don’t think we’re gonna get any five-star meal out here.” He commented, ”Hey, did you learn how to hunt at this camp of yours? There’s bound to be animals around here, right?” It had been a while since Javier tried hunting for food, most of the time he had managed to scavenge to food, after all, and there was the fact that there were barely any animals left - most of them were killed by the walking dead. He still figured that it wouldn’t be too hard, though. Reaching behind his back, Javier took out a handgun, he briefly checked how much ammo there was before he returned it to its place. ”I’m guessing people at your camp wouldn’t have given you a weapon, huh?” That was going to be an issue if it was only Javier with the weapons, one of which was only a baseball bat so it wasn’t the most useful when it came to hunting. Heaving a sigh, Javier rested his hands on his hips and looked around again, ”Alright Max, guess it’s time to go hunting, huh?”
