Madison looked over, she found that she liked the less serious face, but sighed when it returned and he looked ahead again, she looked ahead as well, her stride still slightly slow, but she didn't want to speed up and end up causing her ankle to start hurting and then have to take another break in this place. She knew in all likelihood that she would never see him again, but she found herself liking his personality more and more the longer they were together, she'd never met anyone before that would protect a total stranger as often as he had protected and helped her.

Dimitri looked at her for a moment, then looked ahead again. He still hadn't dropped her hand, and mostly wondered why he hadn't. Keeping her close, that was his excuse. Keep her close; keep her safe. He sighed softly as he continued to walk, "Is your ankle doing alright?" he murmured quietly as he slowed his brisk pace, and looked down at her, calmly walking beside her. For a moment, his face softened as he examined her face, but it lasted for only a moment, before he looked around again. He'd definitely try to keep in contact with her when they got out... To make sure she was okay...

"It's fine," Madison looked over at Dimitri, giving a soft smile when she saw his softened expression, her's softening in turn for a second before she looked ahead, she wished that they had met somewhere else..at a party; as unlikely that was since she rarely went out like that, at a store, at school; although he seemed a bit older. She had a feeling that if they had they could have became tight friends, or even boyfriend and girlfriend after a time, instead they couldn't even be sure they'd make it out of this forest alive.

Dimitri looked down at her again, and examined her for a long while. He mostly wished they hadn't met in such harsh conditions. But part of him... didn't. If he'd met her anywhere else, there was the high end chance she'd ignore him, just like every other girl out there. He let out a soft sigh, his hand subconsciously tightening on hers for a moment, before he relaxed again, and continued to keep a slow, steady pace beside her, his other hand sliding into his pocket. She wasn't too bad to be around, and if they made it out alive, he'd want to be around to protect her if something followed her out.

Madison kept her gaze both ahead and on the ground, she noticed the momentary tightening of his hand on hers but didn't react to it, calm and relaxed now, but still alert, not wanting to full relax and it be the second that something decided to jump out to kill them. Her gaze traveled to the sky after a moment, her steps careful, but more easy then before, her ankle not quite as sore as when they had first started walking. "I was on my way to see my friend in the hospital," she murmured after a moment, looking over at Dimitri before looking ahead again, mainly trying to say something to take away the silence for a second.

Dimitri paused for a moment, looking over at her for a moment, "Why were they in the hospital?" he asked quietly. What was he going to say? That he was on his way to help his seventeen year old sister from someone who she thought was stalking her? Sure, his sister might have been pushy, but she was just too scared. He tightened his jaw, and his hand on hers, trying to keep his expression completely phased. He looked ahead, something was obviously wrong with him. His expression wasn't guarded or protective. He actually looked sad, and regretful, he knew something bad would happen to his little sister.

"He decided to do a trick on his motorcycle at the wrong moment," Madison sighed, glancing over at Dimitri after a moment before looking ahead again, "he's crashed and has been in a coma for a month now," her voice was quiet, they had been friends for years now, "since no one was expecting me they probably haven't even noticed I've gone missing yet." she tilted her head up to look at the sky from the trees leaves. She glanced over at Dimitri, gently squeezing his hand, "so...why were you driving down that road?" she questioned quietly, wondering since it seemed to be rarely used with how she hadn't seen any other cars in it while she had been driving, or when she had broken down.

Dimitri gently squeezed her hand as he looked down at her, "I am sorry to hear about that," he murmured softly. His sad expression only grew a little sadder. Her friend was a guy? Did that mean she liked him? He shook his head a little bit, wondering why he'd been even thinking that. With a soft sigh, he looked at the ground, "I have a younger sister. She's seventeen, but... Someones been following her around, and she's scared out of her mind. She wanted me to come over and take care of the man that came to her house. She does not know him, so I was trying to hurry by using the short cut. I just hope she's alright," he explained, his voice dropping to a whisper at his last sentence as he looked st the ground.

"I'm sure she's alright," Madison bit her lip, lowering her head for a moment before looking over at Dimitri, "and we should be out of here before long if we continue like this, after all, it is a shortcut road, walking can't take that much longer...." she sighed, regretting the relief and gratitude at first that she had felt, she knew if he had been alone he would probably have already gotten out of here, and she was keeping him from protecting his sister by making him protect her. She studied him for a second before looking ahead again, quickening her pace slightly since she knew the slower she walked, the longer she'd be keeping Dimitri from making sure his sister was alright.

Dimitri shook his head a little bit, and completely stopped walking when she sped up, "She has a boyfriend. He's not as big as I, but he'd be able to handle whatever it is. You need to slow down, your going to hurt yorself," he said sternly, tightening his hand on hers as he watched her, "Just stay clam, and walk with me. I'll keep you safe, I promise. Just stay calm, okay?" he said softly as he bean to walk with her again, and let out a soft sigh. He knew his sister was okay, she had to be. She was all he had left.
