Tristan nodded as he took place beside her. "It has been one crazy ride, I must admit. Ever since the starting I knew our relationship was never going to be all cozy and quiet like those ridiculous ways they portray old families as if their lives are completely calm and perfect. First we have the whole inter-species issue, then the trouble of you being a newborn, then the trouble of my issues causing me to break down and leave, then me coming back, then us being distant, then Alix deciding not to mind his own business, then the twins, then the shadow wolf, then the demonic attack, then the proposal, then the League interjecting into the matter of your pregnancy, and now all this business with preparing the wedding and having to invite Ash. No matter how much we actually settle down, I'm sure the excitement in our lives won't." he said with a fond smile. All of it had just brought them closer, had it not? It had benefitted more than just them, too. Because of the whole commotion that Alix took part in, he and Tristan were closer, more bonded. Alix had felt guilty and he and his brother hadn't fought since then, although Tristan had sort of gone off the deep-end and tried to kill him several times before it all ended. And Alix had seen the value of love. He learned that it was necessary, and Tristan could now sense the longing for it in his brother. He had changed, yes. And Xena and Kadina were certainly closer now. They were sort of like sisters from the moment they met, but all of this commotion had brought them together. Kadina was closer to Essa now, too, and Zire also. Hell, she was even more familiar to the League now, though not in the most idyllic way.
