Shadow nodded. "Well, for the most part, basically torture." he said quietly. "Physical and mental, though most of it is by powers, but there will probably be some actual attack." he said. "I can't be absolutely sure, however, seeing as they do not let anyone know exactly what goes on in their headquarters. They have barriers that even I cannot penetrate - I only know the basics, for I had a companion who had seen the inside. The vampires that are subjected to punishment there are not allowed to speak of what happened. And even if they could, they definitely wouldn't want to relive any horrible part of it." he sighed. "I do not wish to make you fear for his life - though honestly, some do not survive it - but I do not wish to sugarcoat it, either. He's strong. He'll be fine, I'm sure of it."

[Lilo.]

"And in the meanwhile I am left to mourn for my boyfriend who is going to get tortured, because of me? Practically hates me, because of me? And will most likely never, ever forgive me again, because of me?" Kadina slumped down again. "I guess it's back to the apartment for another few days. I still don't feel welcome at his house anymore."

[s y n]

The Wolf disappeared, reappearing at Kadina's side. "He still loves you, and he will no matter what - He may not want to face that fact at the moment, but after a few days, I assure you that your relationship will only be stronger because of this. However, he may be a bit quiet and... Er, not himself for a short while. What the League does to those who are taken into be punished can have a massive effect on the life of the one who was to go through it. I do not want to frighten you, but there is a chance that he may not ever be his true self again after this ordeal, though the chance is slim."

[Lilo.]

"Then again, it could have the opposite effect right? Like, not be himself but in a good way? As in, savor his life more because he's come so close to death, right?" Kadina pondered aloud, glaring into the wolves eyes. So far, he'd been an okay companion and wasn't half as bad as Tristan had described him. Then again, the wolf had already explained why before. "I'm still sure whatever happens, he can't leave me anyway, can he?"

"Possibly, I suppose." Shadow replied, rolling his shoulders and stretching out. "As for the leaving you subject, I highly doubt he could. Even without the oath, it is simply his nature - He cannot let go of anything he loves easily. No, it requires a long process, and it cannot be done alone. It's like the saying, 'Old habits die hard'. If he truly wishes to leave you, then... Well, I suppose there is a small chance that he could bring himself to do it, though it definitely would not be easy."

[Lilo.]

"You must tell me more about this oath. Does he really want to marry me...?" Kadina glanced down at the ring- would he really go and get her the possibly most beautiful ring she'd ever seen if he didn't mean it? "...Or is he just doing it because of the oath, so that I don't leave him?" She questioned, hugging her knee's tightly. She'd had enough time away from Tristan already, and it was killing her inside.

The Shadow Wolf tilted his head thoughtfully. "Hmm... It's hard to say, really. Tristan is so complex that even I cannot read him. The oath could not exactly make him think up a proposal. In truth, he was actually contemplating it at least a week before he even took the oath. He revoked it before he proposed, and even I am not sure why. My theory is that perhaps it was in fear that you'd reject him, and he'd be left without you, unable to move on because of the oath that bound him. Though I do not know even the slightest if that is correct. Now, the theory that he did it so that you didn't leave him and the oath... Well, it could honestly be a little bit of both, or neither for all I know. All I can tell about him is what he makes obvious. Little does he know that he always has his mental shield with him. When I try to see into his mind, all I get is the image of huge, cold, electric steel walls. He uses this as a type of defense mechanism, so he doesn't get hurt too badly ever again. Little do you know, you're the only person he's ever taken these walls down for. I do not know why he did it, either, but my theory is that he did it because he knew that no matter what hurt he faced, he knew that he couldn't ever truly love you, couldn't ever truly feel your love, unless he sacrificed his defenses."

[Lilo.]

"Yes but about the walls, in his mind... I can't read minds. At least, I don't think I can. I think I may of thought-spoken once, to Alix... but that's it. I think. All I can do is see the future and the past. Of course, the present in which we're living. How stupid it that?" Kadina sighed, why couldn't she have something cool? Maybe she'd get to see what happened to Tristan if she was overcome by a vision. Not that she'd want to see him in pain. Maybe not. "Quick question, and I'm asking you because you seem to know everything, how long is the vampire gestation period? I think the human's is... 40 weeks? I'm not so sure on the vampire's however. Tristan never told me. I guess he didn't think it would happen."

"It depends on the vampire, of course. The 'younger' the vampire, the shorter the time. However, due to the fact that it is two children, the time could perhaps be double. I'd say anywhere around two or three weeks to a month." The Wolf replied, with a light chuckle. "No, he probably didn't think it would."

[Lilo.]

"This..." Kadina rubbed her hand over her stomach- there was a bump, nothing major, it just looked like a little bit of fat at the moment. "Will grow to that..." She made a hill with her hand over her stomach. "In the space of a month maybe?" She raised her eyebrows at the wolf. "Crazy, just crazy. And if that's a month, it will have grown by the time Tristan's back, right? Only a little but still...I just hope I make it through because if I don't, well, let's just say Tristan's little cycle will run around once more."
