Fallen Angels like Misguided Ghosts

"And I found a book you may want to... read." Said rick, dropping the book, letting it fall to the ground. "though I can't understand how they managed to do it... tch... whoever ran this thing was a true monster, to take from such beings..." he said, going over to look at the book trisha had.

The first page of the book read:
May 8th, 1948 The machine is working! We captured a soul again today, and she is fighting. With this, I can get funding for my research from the government.
August 14th, 1949 Moved studies to the town of Morrisdale. The school was just closed, so we are moving our research facility to just below the structure, it should prove to be an ample cover.
July 9th, 1950 The experiment was a failure. The spirit we captured faded into nothing when we tried to erase all her memories, perhaps the papers we recieved from italy may prove to hold the answer...

Rick picked up the book... "Here, just... look." He said, showing her the page.

"damn... Well, that is me, always fighting what people think. But does that mean ive got no soul..?"

"I don't think so. Clones don't respond without a soul, so I doubt a homoculi would... I think what they did was... modify some sort of prexisting spiritual entity, although what exactly I'm not sure of. It could be an devil, an angel, a ghost, or maybe even a fox or some sort of animal's spirit. Where the spirit comes from I can't be sure of." said Rick, looking for another book, not wanting to touch that book anymore. They destroyed a spirit... how could they?!? thought rick, intensly angry about such an act. killing someone was one thing, but destroying their spirit... who would commit such an offence at morality?

I thought about it and said."Have you heard of fallen angels..?"

"Something of the like, why?" Asked Rick, intrigued.

"They caught one, didn't they, me?" I turned to the angel behind me, crimson feathers scattering the floor. I couldn't completely see her, like she was torn in half.

Rick suddenly shot with pain. "What the... I don't..." Rick said, falling to a knee, in terrible pain.

"is a soul worth that much to a fallen angel? Does it hurt that much?" i asked my angel self.
