Fast growing clones have been done by some organizations, and homoculi were created in the 16th century... but I have never heard of experiments more recent than somewhere around the 1650's on homoculi. and fast clones only live for about 10 years or so, not to mention they are usually in all praticalities brain-dead. Many theories point to that the most likely reason would be for a lack of a soul, although some scientists still say there is no such thing and it is an error in the recreation of the nerve tissue." said rick, reciting the information he knew from his studies. "This is... odd. Just what is going on?"

"The experiment is the town. everyone here is some sort of mutant or creacted human. Even you. My best guess is that the scientists saw it possible. Therefore, they did it. and you can bet this town isn't on a political map. so go ahead, pick a book. It may be yours."

"That doesn't make sense... although I do have odd... abilities, my mom seemed to have them as well..." Rick said, as he looked down at his pendent. "My family has lived in this town for a number of generations though... I could even show you our family gravesite if you wanted... I have to place fresh flowers there anyhow..." he said, looking around. "Still, this troubles me... just what is the government hoping to do?" he said, scanning the books.

"IF the government knows about this, possibly an army. Otherwise, anything you remember about your family is staged and implanted, unless they're mutants too. Read my book. It says so." I handed him the crimson book labled 'Human Recreation case #56'. *When you read about the experiment, you will notice that it says it named me Kame, so you can inquire.*

"Hmm, but there are records of this town... In my family's library that is. We came here in the early 1800's. However, I will conclude there are no records, and despite my searches in librarys in other towns, there seem to be no records other than my family's. And even local records end in the 1950's. Perhaps something happened here, and the government took a chance of opportunity?" Rick said, confused by this. "If you like, I can take you to my family library." he added, still looking at the alotment of books.

"No, im fine trying to find out what the hell I am. I beieve the terms homunculus, but its techniqly impossible to make one. And if im also right, thy are rumored to have immortality. Though i doubt it, seince i have a lame hand."

"Perhaps the government found a document from the experiments in the 16th century and decided do mix it with fast cloning?" said Rick, trying to think of a logical solution. "Ah here is a book, experiment stage one. Perhaps you would like to look at it?" he asked, handing her the book.

"Not like im gonna not try to lear more.." I took the book and shuffled through it. my left hand twitched."Eh?" Suddenly my left hand leaped to life churning the pages untill it found a chapter."What the hell?" I said as my left hand limped again. I looked at the chapter. It was labled 'The experimental town'....

"Whats up?" Asked Rick, as he scanned the books. "hmm... recreating the human soul..." he muttered, as he grabbed the book and started to open the cover.
