The prince cast a prideful look over the group. Jucias had done a fine job collecting victims this year. As they approached, he said, "What a pleasure it is to meet you all. You may call me Prince. I suppose Icarus has already informed you that you are in my labyrinth," he paused and looked at each of them, "As you may have observed, you will encounter my servants along your journey. Some, are not so kind as Alistair, here." The prince glanced at the cat with a somewhat disgusted expression, "You will find a few places of rest. I suggest you take advantage of them when possible, but do not linger too long. And there are more than a few "dead" ends. If you find yourselves hungry, there is plenty of food if you know where to look. I wish you the best of luck...well, I suppose that's a lie." He scoffed quickly before a horse came out from behind a nearby wall and he mounted. After once last leering glance at them, he kicked his horse and galloped away.
Sky watched in disbelief. She had been raised with the mentality that princes were noble and dreamy. Raising an eyebrow in a skeptical expression, she looked back for Icarus, but he was gone. The prince had succeeded in worry Sky even further and she took a deep breath. "Let's keep moving," she said, walking forward and then turning right onto a path with white orchids and ivy on the walls.
