"Ah, come on now, Shawn. Not everyone wants you homework," Ashley began, he looked right in Shawn's eyes as he spoke, "I sure down want your homework. You know Conner would kill me if he found out I was cheating." He chuckled abit at his last remark. Not taking his glaze of the boy, he smirked.

Shawn nodded. Without replying, he resting his head onto the desk. He reachd into his pants pocket and pulled out his iPod, not hesitating to place the headphones onto his ears. He wasn't exactly worried about getting it taken up, knowing at how much the teacher didn't care what you did.

Nerves took over Ashley when there was no reply. He wanted to talk, but had no idea what to talk about. He looked around the room and then the idea struck him. "So you going to prom on Friday?" He didn't feel weird asking Shawn this. Not one bit.

Alyce saw Shawn, she recognized him from classes they had together the year before. She got up and went to sit next to him. "Hey Shawn." She said, pulling out one of his head phones.

Shawn attempted to drown out everyother sound, but he still heard Ashley's voice. He was actually starting to get annoying. "Yeah." Shawn said, rubbing his temples. He reached out to press play again, until Alyce pulled on his headphones. "Hey." He grinned, deciding to take the headphones off. He wasn't used to talking so much.

"You know, that could hurt your ears." Alyce said, smiling. "What's up?" She asked.

Ash could tell Shawn was going annoyed, so he shut up. He hated annoying people, but it's hard for him to just come out and ask someone something. When Aylce came over, and anger took over part of Ashley. He hid the anger with a smile, but it was easy to see through his cover ups.
Ashley was a good liar, but it was hard for him to hide his emotions. He, his family and a few of his friends could feel bad blood between him and other. To him, Aylce was one of them.

I took my seat in the class room and sighed, stupid traffic, I thought to myself. I pulled out my sketchbook, a few drawings fell onto my desk, they were of fantasy creatures, and weapons. Gathering them together I stuck them in the sketchbook folder, and opened it to a fresh page. As I drew I listened to Ashley and Shawn talking, "Did you say Prom?" I tipped my head back, and looked at them.

Shawn shrugged his shoulders. "It doesn't bother me." He smiled warmly, shifting his weight in his chair. "Not much, I guess." He said, glancing at Alyce. "How about you ?"

"Doodling." Alyce said. She didnt feel comfortable talking to Shawn with Ashley around, she didnt know him, and she had a feeling she didnt want to get to know him.
