>> The two started out of the girls' dorms, Kora grinning with anticipation. She dropped her voice, too, hoping that no one would be alerted of their presence. "Yeah, seriously- let's hope we don't get caught at all," Kora murmured back, wondering just how much a gap was between the boys' and girls' dorms. As quickly as her brain could correctly process, Kora thought of escape routes and hiding spots, as if they were on a ninja mission while being chased by monsters. Technically, they were on a ninja mission, and if you wanted to count possible squealers and supervisors as "monsters," sure, that was exactly what they were doing. But why not amp it up a notch, take it to the extreme and give it some risk? There was no fun if there wasn't some risk. "What should be our excuse?" Kora asked Alyce, her voice hushed. They'd need a solid, credible excuse to be sneaking around some place they shouldn't be. Kora kept her steps quick and as quiet as she could make it, but Kora was no ninja- she wasn't invisible. If she had a boyfriend, this would be way more fun. But, she and Alyce seemed to be heading for a good time no matter what. Plus, at least they'd be able to meet some new people, get some new friends. School loomed in the near future, the very near future, and friends were as essential as pencils and a brain. Perhaps, even more essential- definitely more essential. School wasn't a place you can make it through alone; it was like wolves, picking off the weak. Loneliness offered no protection, like a lame deer lost in the woods. That was the first the wolves would go after.
