Genevieve's face darkened slightly as Lee-Jae mentioned muggles but she covered it up quickly. "Temper, temper Lee-Jae." She teased, smiling devilishly at him. "Although I'm curious now," She turned to Sarina. " If he's so annoyed with us, why hasn't he left?" She laughed to herself, enjoying teasing the obviously annoyed boy. "I left a completely empty compartment but I'm finding this much more interesting."

"Nothing against muggles, but I do think it is a bit strange that you'd prefer them over a Hufflepuff." Sarina snorted, watching as he pulled out his pocket mirror. "Oh very mature. You narcissist." Her gaze returned to Genevieve, nodding as the other girl talked. "I think that it's just because he was here first so he's refusing to leave. The only reason I'm in here is because I dumped my stuff without asking. It's like, a thing, I think. Both of us are too stubborn to leave." She poked her finger into the owl cage beside her. Surprise gave a quiet hoot and nibbled gently at her finger.

"Oh, so just because I'm a Pureblood, I'm supposed to hate Muggles?" Lee-Jae asked, possibly misinterpreting what Sarina said, and he added, "Thank you, I know." So what he liked to look at himself in the mirror? He could admit that he did. He then scowled at Genevieve. "I was here first. Don't talk about me like I can't hear you and I'm not here." He huffed. He was certainly not falling for Genevieve's words either - there was no chance that the supposed empty compartment she'd just left was still empty anyway. Besides, sitting here was probably the best situation he'd get to be in - what if he moved and ended up having to sit with a bunch of First or Second-years. Yuck.

He had to laugh quietly at that. He found Ashwell to be a little odd, sure, but not in a bad way - he thought it was quite... cute, he supposed. Skylar opened up the Herbology book, by running a finger over a particular plant that was pictured on the cover, and it opened to the page that he left off at when he had last read it. He glanced up when Ashwell asked him if he liked sports, and he had to shrug. "I'm not a huge fan, to be honest..." he blushed slightly - he knew how big Quidditch was to most Hogwarts students. "Sorry if that.. makes things weird."

He settled down, and prepared himself for the several-hour journey ahead of him. At least he was sitting with someone pleasant - and he quite looked forward to getting to know Matthew more. After a few moments, though, Desmond looked up towards the door again as it was opened by a student he didn't really recognise, so he guessed that she was in a different year to him. Still, he smiled warmly towards her. "It's fine with me. There's plenty of space in here." He gestured towards the empty seats in the compartment. It would be nice to get to know even more students around here, and she seemed quite interesting to talk to.

It was Sarina’s turn to get flustered now. Her cheeks pinked slightly. She shook her head, her face curled into a frown. “That isn’t what I meant. I just think that it’s- you know what? Never mind. Just go back to ogling at yourself.” She stood up, opening Surprise's cage then crossing over to the window to push it open and allow the barn owl to fly out. One thing she'd learnt during her five years with the owl was that he got antsy if he was stuck in the cage for the whole train trip to Hogwarts.

Bailey couldn’t help but laugh out loud. “I’m... as excited as anyone can be” she joked, cracking her knickles slightly. “How about you? You ready? It’s all gonna be sooo magical” she joked, rolling her eyes. “I’m just glad I know SOMEONE nice from hogwarts” she said, crossing her arms, “Or school would be literal hell” she half smiled.

Ash opened his book again and flipped it to his page. He was almost finished with his book, once Skylar answered he nodded, "It doesn't make things awkward, I was just curious", he looked back to his book. "Come on Ashwell, your making yourself seem odd." he said to himself inside his head.

Professor Fairgood opened his window before sitting at his desk to go through some of the lectures he would be giving. As he flipped through his papers and books he heard his owl fly through the window and onto the perch in the classroom. Noticing the letter attached to his owl, taking it he began to read. The letter said he was to meet the students at the docks and help with bringing them to the castle.

Eleanor pondered Arden's advice throughly. "Making decisions based on the majority isn't always the best thing, but neither is deciding things based on self benefit. However, making decisions based on what is best for my friends & myself is usually the best route. So I'm most likely a Slytherin," she thought. "I think I've made my decision. Anyways, do you mind if I quickly look at what other people are up to? I'll be back as soon as possible. I'm just trying to get a general idea of the other students since I currently know nobody except for you," Eleanor explained.

Professor Goodwin was almost done tidying up her classroom. A few books on a bookshelf needed straightening, there was a spider web that needed to be removed, and the cookies needed to finish baking. She was specifically baking them for students in her house, but she could always make more if necessary. When the timer rang, Professor Goodwin took the cookies out of the oven and placed them onto cooling racks. They definitely smelled good.

Poppy sat alone on the train, her eyes watching as the world passed by, and she smiled softly, feeling slightly excited. She noticed another boy nearby and she sifted closer to him, still on her seat and she smiled at him. "Hi, what's your name?" she asked him, trying not to sound weird.

He smiled innocently as Sarina got flustered, as if he didn't know why she was. "I will, thank you." Lee-Jae replied, as he glanced back into his mirror again, looking at himself. He did look up a bit as he noticed the movement from the corner of his eye, watching briefly for a few moments as the window was opened and the owl was allowed out to fly and stretch its wings. He put up an arm to shield his face and hair from the wind that blew in through the window.

Quite often he was asked 'how could you not like Quidditch??' and it was a little annoying that people wouldn't accept that he just didn't like it. Skylar smiled a little, shyly, then he looked back at his book, going back to reading as it seemed like Ashwell was reading again now.
