“Yes, a little- I mean no. Not at all. Not even slightly.” She said firmly, her heart still pouring from the surprise. She would not admit he’d scared her if she could help it. It was rather embarrassing. The sketchbook under her arm slipped. She struggled to catch it quickly, panicking that she’d lose her necklace sketch. If she lost that she would have to sit and sketch for hours again to get it looking just right. If she didn’t meet the deadline she’d have no paycheck. She already had no money so it was not an option. The street was extremely crowded. She felt a bit sick. She ducked down the nearest side road to check her sketchbook was intact, flicking through the pages rapidly until she found the necklace. She sighed in relief that it was still there and fine.
