Luka flew down into the valley, where she heard Shade and Rowki having an arguement. She heard her name a few times, so she gathered she was the object they were talking about. Then she saw Rowki fly out of the cave, thrashing about angrily. She flew down in front of him, where she smiled. "Did you miss me? So whats up with you and Shade?"

Luka flew down into the familiar valley, where she heard Shade and Rowki having an arguement. Then she spotted Rowki flying out of Zoe's cave, Thrashing angrily, up out of their terrertory. Luka flew up to him. "Did you miss me?'' She asked. "So whats up with you and Shade?"

Holly sniffed, hearing the argument from inside her den. She was almost ready to lay her eggs. Personally, Holly agreed with Shade. No dragon had the right to talk to their leader like that! Besides, Shade did indeed lead a dawn patrol with other dragons, and they were the ones all sleeping. Shade was one of the hardest workers and she wa a great leader. Dislike of Rowki almost made her drown in hatred. She had never like Rowki. Way too many mood-swings if you ask her. Rowki did have the time to eat, but always ended up going out and working time and time again. Not because Shade ordered him to, but because he wanted to show off and impress everyone. Huh, Shade was definitely right.

Mantle circled in the air, looking in the direction that Luka had left in. She had given him directions to the herd, but in truth he was afraid. Afraid that they would attack him because he was an outsider, but more afraid that he would be rejected yet again. With a sad sigh Mantle made an abrupt hairpin turn and flew back towards his cave. he had lost his appetite.

Lakota landed clumsily back at her nest. She looked around for the others, and noticed Rowki flying away from Shade, looking furious. She walked timidly to where Shade stood, curious but not wanting to intrude if it was personal. "Shade, is everything okay?" She asked.

"It's okay Lakota. Rowki was just being his usual, disgusting, filthy, diseased self. The dirty scum! I'd bathe him in his own juices while cramming poisoned crow gut down his throat. Tell me Lakota, what is the proper punishment for a dragon that offended his leader and didn't stop, even when I did indeed have a point? I considered sending him into exile, the pathetic badger-dung! I don't even know what I did! I just offered to care for the egg instead of Rowki and asked if he would rather go hunting! Do you see anything wrong with that Lakota?" Shade was snarling, repeatedly cursing Rowki. "Go to the crows Rowki! I don't give a crap for where ever you are condemned to die! You offend me and my tribe and you simply run away from your horrible actions! Coward! What are you, a mouse or a dragon! More like a piece of dung if you ask me!" Shade said a bunch of curses extremely inappropriate in Latin, breathing fire angrily. Turning to Lakota, she sighed and said, "Well, that felt good to rant. Why don't we go patrol the area together, Lakota? And if you come by Rowki, attack him. He is no longer part of the tribe until he comes to me personally, apologizes, clears out every single den of every single dragon, as well as their dirt, and means the apology. In fact, he will say that I have a point and that I am right and that he was wrong to snap at me for trying to help him. Rowki will apologize to every single dragon in the tribe for being such a scum-sucking, filth-eating bottom-feeder!" And with that, Shade took off, snorting heavily into the air, landing on a rocky outcrop, watiting for Lakota's decision on whether or not she'd join her or not.

Mantle arrived back at his cave and landed nimbly just inside the wide cave mouth. He had never truly realised how lonely it was, being an outsider and a rogue. But then he had met Luka, and he realised that in the short while where it had seemed like he'd had a friend he had been happy for the first time in years.

Lakota was suprised by the vehemence in Shade's voice. Whatever Rowki had done it must have been bad. She shook her head to clear it and then ran to Shade's side, preparing to take flight. This reminded her of her plight, so she turned to Shade hesitantly and asked, "Shade, I've been having some trouble with flying recently, I'm not sure why, but I was wondering if you could help me out?"

Looking a little taken aback, Shade replied, "What's the problem, Lakota? You were always the best flier; even better than me! I always thought that you brought shame upon all other dragons with your aerodynamic abilities."

Lakota smiled ruefully at her. "I had no problem with flying a little while ago. Once I was out hunting and I got startled by a bird, and ended up crashing through several trees before landing on my wings. They don't hurt any more, but I haven't been able to fly well since." She tried to stop herself from looking as frightened as she felt. "Do you think they'll ever heal Shade?"

"Why didn't you tell anyone before, Lakota?" Shade asked quietly, gently laying the tip of her wing on her forehead. "You should've went straight to Pandora after you crashed." Examining Lakota's wings, they seemed perfectly fine. But the damage was already done, inside.... "Maybe we should go to Pandora. I'll come with you, dear, and let's hope for the best."
