daniel let out an audible sign and pushed up from his seat. he allowed beau to slither out of his pocket and wrap hang loosely around his neck. he didn't care who he scared anymore. leaving sydney in the compartment, he began to search for the trolley in hope of securing a chocolate frog. anything was better than having to interact with someone for even another moment.

With a huff of annoyance, Noble makes his way down the aisles of the train, watching as younger, more naive students looked at him oddly as he passed, jumping as he glares back at them. He knows by noon tomorrow all the first years would know to stay away from him, but for now he just puts on his typical angry demeanour and stalks. None of this indicates that he is, in fact, actually looking for the candy trolley. Noble does not look like a candy loving man.

Sydney released a breath she hadn't realised she'd been holding when the older boy left the compartment. Cicero seemed to relax as well; he smoothed his feathers, extended a wing, and began to preen. Sydney tried to return to Hogwarts: A History, but she found herself reading the same paragraph over and over again. She let loose a short sigh and leaned back in her seat. The petite girl glanced over at her barn owl, who paused mid-preen to look back at her with wide eyes. After a moment of silence, he bobbed his head at her and made a curious-sounding kleak-kleak-kleak noise.

"Oh, believe you me, I've got good credibility," Killian snickered. "Hufflepuff had better watch out this year." In truth, Killian didn't really care all that much about house points - it was the friendly competition that he looked forward to. Without so much as a glance towards Amelia, he reached down to scratch her behind the ears. The Siamese started purring like a small motorboat, closing her ice-blue eyes in pure bliss.

Beatrice huffed a long, drawn out sigh, running her slender fingers though her auburn locks. She'd been forced to leave her lesson plans to the last minute this year. Any other year, the tall witch would have finished all of them by this point, but the unforeseen death of her brother-in-law had really thrown a wrench in things. Not only that, but he'd left her, of all people, in charge of his eleven-year old son!
Focus, she mentally chastised herself. With some difficulty, Beatrice turned her attention back to writing out her lesson plan. The scratch of quill against parchment calmed her nerves a bit, though she was not a woman who ever truly relaxed. She cast a quick glance at her classroom's clock to see how much time she would have before all of the students arrived and the sorting ceremony began. As Deputy Headmistress, it was her job to meet the first years at the Boathouse and lead them to the Great Hall.

Patrick was among the first years who would be sorted into one of the four houses. he always hoped he would be sorted into his father's old house at Ilvermorny, Wampus. However, fate had other plans. Unfortunately, his father's will was made prior to his Magical potential revealing itself, which meant there was no Clause stating he was to be allowed to attend Ilvermorny.

kennedy laughed at ella’s remark. she also cringed remembering when she slept over at aj’s one time. kennedy had overslept so aj threw wussie onto her. she shook her head dismissing her thoughts. she looked at aj and carson, ”we gonna continue the ritual this year?” she asked yet already knowing the answer. aj, carson, and kennedy have had this “ritual” that the do everyday. since carson and kennedy are in the same house they meet each other in the common room and then pick up aj outside the ravenclaw common room.

in the compartment sammie was the people were just being too immature so he decided to look around for another one. he passed out with a girl in it she didn’t look like a first year, but she was definitely new. he popped his head in, ”hiya! mind if i join you?” he said. he smiled hoping that he seemed friendly.

Sydney actually jumped when a boy with messy blonde hair stuck his head in the doorway. She took a deep breath, trying desperately to steady her racing heart. "U-Um, sure," she said meekly, mustering a wavering smile. The boy seemed friendly enough... but so had the other one who'd been in her compartment earlier, up until he'd made fun of her stutter. She worried her lower lip between her teeth, lowering her gaze to the floor as if it had suddenly become especially interesting. The petite brunette snuck wary glances at the older boy, not daring to meet his eyes.
Cicero, on the other hand, seemed much more bold. He blinked his big brown eyes up at the blond boy, tilting his head from side to side as he inspected him curiously. The barn owl let out another 'kleak-kleak' call, then twisted his head completely upside down.

sammie saw the girl’s actions suggest she was nervous. he walked inside the compartment and sat down across from the girl and her owl. as owl twisted it’s head so did sammie. well, till it twisted it’s head upside down. he copied the owl so maybe the girl would see his friendly nature, though, he probably looked like an idiot. sammie looked over at the girl hoping she would let out a laugh. ”the name’s sammie!” he said. he flashed a smile.
