Sydney nearly jumped again when the boy beside her emitted a loud curse word. "What -" she started to say, until she felt something slithering slowly across her black leggings. The petite girl glanced down in surprise, though she didn't seem particularly unnerved. She carefully marked her place in her book, setting it down next to her in a slow, steady movement as so not to startle the snake. Though Sydney was a young woman of many fears, serpents didn't bother her in the slightest - that is, until they started to show signs of aggression, or if they were a poisonous species. Cicero, on the other hand, seemed very agitated. He flared his wings and extended his neck, fluffing up his feathers to make himself look larger. He remained silent, but eyed the snake warily.
Sydney wasn't exactly sure what to do. She knew that handling a snake could be dangerous, particularly one who was unfamiliar with her. Her breathing became a little unsteady as she tried to formulate something to say. In all honesty, she was much more afraid of social interaction than the serpent in her lap. "I - a-ah - I believe th-this is yours," she blurted, gesturing to the snake. Her face immediately turned a flustered shade of crimson, and she refused to meet the young man's eyes.

Amelia let out an angry growl when Ella nearly fell on her tail, flattening her ears as she glared up at the girl. "Looks like you've made a friend," Killian quipped, offering Ella a wry smile. "I'm Killian, in case you haven't heard of me, but you can call me Killer." He flashed her a cocky grin, regardless of the fact that no one ever actually called him 'Killer' except his older sister Megaera, and that was only when she was being condescending. "Oh, and this drama queen here is Amelia." Killian gestured to the Siamese in his lap, who still looked quite miffed.
