She chuckled. "Yeah.. these poor little ones we're captured by poachers a while back. So I stepped in." She chuckled nervously. "Oh! Would you like some tea or biscuits?" She asked happily at her new friend. "Or I could make pasta or something. Do you have allergies? Dislikes?!" She bombarded her with questions of concern. It was honestly.... cute

The short girl looked around the practically silent forest with contempt. Everything today had been awfully boring. From waking up this morning to eating breakfast, nothing had been as exciting as she'd hoped. A little hot, she took off her thin sweater and tied it around her waist, pulling on one of the sleeves to tighten it around her slender waist. Another person may call her crazy since it was winter, but that didn't matter to her. She had an excellent tolerance to the cold and it didn't bother her at all. Guild mark now visible, she ran slender fingers over it and sighed. It really was a shame that magic was banned in the kingdom. It was such a wonderful thing and made such wonderful things happen, yet a greedy ruler doomed it to be scornful to practice it. Letting out a breath, a small shard of ice appeared in front of her, and she caught it with a hand. It seemed strange to a normal person that she could just make ice appear like that, but for a mage it wasn't. It was simply practicing a craft which you dedicate your life to. She smiled for a second, but the smile disappeared when she heard the crackling sound of fresh snow from behind. Immediately, she found cover behind a tree, and peeked from around the trunk. It was the king's guard. God, how they loved to be annoying. Fighting them would be too loud, so sneaking away would be the best option. Stepping lightly, she expertly used her surroundings to sneak away, her pale skin probably helping the escape. Happy she couldn't hear them anymore, she moved through the forest and avoided a few more stray soldiers. Finally, she came across a small cottage. Well, if they lived here they'd have to let her in otherwise the guards would notice her and her guild mark. Taking a long breath, she knocked on the door and hoped someone would notice. (Dunno what else to do to jump in at this point )

-It's fine. I am trying to come up with a guy at the moment, otherwise I would offer him. But he isn't complete yet.

Getting to her feet the girl winced from getting out of a tight position. She bent down setting Orion down on the ground and watched as he walked over to the various animals curiously. Lena didn't blame the little Celestial Spirit. She was just as curious about her hostess's non-human companions after all, but who would not be? "There are so many and such a verity. I'm not surprised you took them in though honestly, not after how you have taken me in for the night anyway. Looks like you have more then just a gift for gardens. They seem happy here with you.", said Lena observing a pair of colorful parakeets sitting on the edge of a lamp shade. The orange haired girl was tempted to run a finger over their soft looking feathers but didn't dare in case she frightened them r made them otherwise upset.

When Cloud started firing off questions, Lena couldn't help but laugh a soft tinkling laugh and hold her stomach. Her hostess for the night really was just a bundle of kindness and warmth. Not that she didn't already know that but this pretty much confirmed it. "Maybe some tea and biscuits?", the teen replied to the offer. That was when there was a knock on the door and panic set back in. Were the men possibly back? Had they wised up and come back to the cottage to check it out just in case?

Cloud froze, looking out the window. She saw no guards but a girl. She opened the door shakily. "H-h-hello miss." She stuttered in confusion. Was she a guard? Would she take Lena away from her?
"W-who are you if I may ask..?" She asked curiously. The Animals curled around Lena, the parakeets nuzzling her, wanting to be petted.

She stood at the door, tapping her foot impatiently and waiting for an answer. Part of her hoped it wasn't abandoned, and part of her hoped it was. If it was, it would be easy to avoid the guards by hiding around the house and taking them out quietly. Fiddling with her sweater that was tied around her waist, she stopped tapping her foot and waited. Closing her eyes, she heard footsteps and began to count. 1...2...3... the door opened. It was another girl. So it was inhabited. "Heya." She replied, trying to be casual, though her anxiety began to set in. "I'm a passerby, trying to avoid guards as much as any other mage." She pointed out her guild mark and sighed. "It's annoying that the king outlawed magic, I do hope one day we can change his mind." She said sincerely, trying to appease the nervous girl. She looked down, seeing animals curling around her, and tried not to melt. Animals were one of her weaknesses, and she couldn't help but smile at them.

Lena had told Orion to hide and watched the small spirit run off into another room to do just that. She held out hand to run a careful finger down the back of one of the parakeet's soft colorful feathers. She stayed quiet at first staying where she was gently petting the pair of birds on the lamp. Ears peeled for who was at the front door and what they were there for. Had the men maybe decided to check the houses and doubled back? If so she needed to get out of the house quickly and lead them away before dealing with them. She would not wrap Cloud up in her problems. Lena refused too involve her. At least that was until she heard the voice of their visitor which caused electricity to surge through her system. The orange haired teen hurried from her spot tucked among the aray of animals Cloud had rescued hurrying for the front room. "Blaire? Is that you?", she asked poking her head out from around a corner of furniture and the hoard of wildlife.

"You know eAchother?" Cloud asked curiously at Lena. She was still getting used to visitors, after all, so she had a right to be nervous. The small fawn sniffed Blaire curiously, soon nuzzling her. "Sorry that there's so many.." she apologized. "I like taking care of the orphans."8 she explained quietly. One of the birds, a beautiful macaw, landed on Cloud's shoulder, repeating words it heard earlier. "Hungry, Hungry."
Cloud just chuckled, turning around and started going to the kitchen, preparing various meals for each animal. Each had it's likes and dislikes, after all.

"Yeah." She said simply, crossing her arms. "It's me Lena, the one and only ice breath." Looking down as she felt something nuzzling her, she saw a fawn and couldn't help but smile. Tilting her head back up, she watched as the owner of the household began to walk inside. Taking it upon herself, she walked inside and closed the door behind, securely locking it. She leaned against the door for a moment, catching her breath and sighing. Avoiding animals, she walked over to where the celestial wizard was standing. More like peeking. "I thought you'd gotten caught by the guards last time I saw you... hey where's Orion? You always have him with you. " She asked curiously. Blaire always loved celestial spirits. They were all... different, and though she knew nothing about the magic, it still fascinated her.

Cloud Came back after a few minutes from feeding the orphaned animals. There was a total of 5, not including her snake, winter. The fawn, 2 parakeets, and 2 squirrels. They happily ran or flew towards their food. Cloud chuckled softly. "According to Lena you're Blaire if I'm not mistaken." She smiled. "I'm Cloud. And this lil snake here is winter." She shook her hand politely. She was genuinely nice.

"I hope the guards don't come back.." she sighed. "It's hard enough being friends with one of them.. good thing is, he feels me what's going on and always keeps my secrets.."

The brown eyed teen nodded, "Yeah. Blaire and I are friends actually.", she replied.

The young female mage stepped out from her peeking place to lean against the entry way instead. Her arms over her chest and posture comfortably slouched. Lena gave her guildmate a sheepish look, "Sorry about that. It's a wonder what a little Illusion Magic would do in the hands of someone who has the skills to utilize it the right way. You'd be amazed what a giant hoard of monsters are capable of doing." A laugh escaped the orange haired girl thinking back to watching the men that had been after her last time 'running for their lives', or so they believed, from a group of monsters. It was really quite enetertaining as much as it was pathetic. Then again Lena really could not fault the men. She would have run from a hoard of monsters just as they had if she didn't know any better too. That is if she wasn't a mage. "And Orion is here with me. I summoned him just in time for someone to report seeing a Celestial Spirit Mage in the streets in broad daylight. Who knows what would have happened if Cloud hadn't brought us in here to hide us. We were lucky we stopped by to admire her gardening work while headed for the Guild Hall. Orion! It's alright, you can come say hello!"

A moment later the little blue Nikora came walking over to the trio of girls. The constantly shivering Little Dog Spirit stopped when he reached them and looked up. Orion held up a paw in greeting to Blaire.
