Alexa nooded. She brought her legs up and rested her head in Conner's lap. She was curled on her side, with her eyes closed. It would take a little bit to go to sleep.

Conner smiled down at her running his hand through her hair softly. He leaned his head back and closed his eyes lightly, as he kept stroking her hair

Alexa fell asleep soon after. She started off by having dreams about her humans. The one she had trusted. Then her dreams switched to Conner. At this she smiled in her sleep. Then they switched to her burning house, and humans chasing her with torches. She started stirring, then sat bolt up right, letting out a whimper.

Bonnets eyes flew open and he jumped as she woke up "What?! What!" he asked looking around quickly

Alexa shook her head. She had seen something she had wanted to forget long ago. She leaned against his stone body, putting her head on his shoulder.

Conner lookeddown at her, concerned, his body was still tense from his surprise but when he looked around again sensing nothing he relaxed settling into the couch, he ran his fingers up and down her arm "You wanna talk about it?" he asked quietly

"Just something from my past. I wanted to forget about it." Alexa said. "But I guess the house burning brought it to the surface." She said. "It's nothing."

"it doesn't sound like nothing" Conner said simply, then hebshook his head "I'm sorry, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to" hebsaid quietly

"Something like tonight happened before, but worse." Alexa said. "I was caught in the fire. I made it out just in time." She whispered.

Conner stroked the top of her head gently "Hey.. It's ok now, you got out, your safe" he said kissing the top of her forehead softly "Do you wanna tell me more?" he asked
