1x1 Between ~Lotus~ and Mayia Hikamaru

[Mayiamaru]

Skye did look up at all, but Knight did. "What do you want?" He hissed, getting up a bit. Skye tried to raise up to lean on his elbows, but Knight caught the movement and slammed his hand onto Skye's neck, bashing him into the floor. "You stay put!" Knight sneered, glaring at Skye deeply before looking at Lotus. Skye didn't move anymore and remained silent. He wasn't going to fight.

[~Lotus~]

"I.. She said as she got close enough to reach out and touch Skye, or Knight if she wanted. But, knowing what Alice said, she didn't want to die. "I was just thinking, about what you said. I don't know anything about you two, but that you are brothers, and you are fighting. And, I know that Skye has helped me, and he is trying to do the right thing now. Even if he has, or hasn't in the past. And, Knight, all I know about you is, you kill for fun, and you dislike me for some reason I don't know. I think that you have been left alone to long, you said your home was destroyed, again and again, and I don't know how that must have felt, but I'm really sorry, but the face of it is... She said, Lotus was starting to cry now.

"The thing is you are well, both alive now, and thinking about the future is hard, and I do know that things that happen in the past are hard to let go of, but. I may just be selfish right now, but, are you really fighting right now as brothers? Or are you fighting to destroy or save the world. All I know is if you kill Skye... Knight, you will have some sort of gain, but you just think, you will be even more alone then you are now. And then what will you do? Take your anger out on people who didn't know you?" She asked.

[Mayiamaru]

Knight growled, the feral snarling of his throat growing strong. "Skye is a monster. You haven't seen him in action!" Knight said, rising to his feet and getting off of Skye who just didn't move anymore. "This murderer is a curse!" Knight snapped, his bow appearing in his right hand. "And all you're doing is getting in my way!" He snapped. His hand quivering with anger. Skye sat up when Knight summoned his weapon. He lashed his right hand forward and lances appeared, trapping Knight in his position. Slowly, Skye stood, picking up his hat and putting it on his head, his whole face now hidden in shadow. Skye walked with a bit of a limp and there was blood where he lay before. "What the... Let me go!" Knight yelled, thrashing like a child.

[~Lotus~]

Lotus just watched, there was nothing she could do. Oh, she remembered the promise. "I would like to ask something of you Skye, it is more of a promise. Will you promise, as my friend, that you will tell me the truth. What you are, who you are, and why you can't do such simple things as love, hate, or the smile, I would like to know these things, and if I don't get to know them, I am afraid, I will not be able to help. You said it yourself, I do have the most influence on the humans left at the school, though they may not be in danger anymore..."

"And if you don't promise me this, your other promises will be broken. I will do my best not to protect them, or calm them, I will let them die, and I will tell Mayia, that you were so horrible to me, and I will make sure that each orphanage is burned to the ground, so make me this promise, as it also might be yours, and my last." She said.

Skye lowered his head and stepped back, his eyes to the floor and his teeth still clenched. "... You have my word... Just do not harm them..." Skye said lowly. He was crying. For the first time, he could not hold back and was crying in front of others. The pain was getting to him and holding back wasn't a problem anymore. He was shaken. The pain was much to bare and now a human girl was threatening to destroy what he lived for. Skye fell to his knees, unable to stand any longer and just stared at the floor, his mind racing.

Knight's glare faded and he began to grin. He could feel every tear that hit the floor from Skye's silent weeping. He looked at Lotus and just grinned. "You're hurting him more than I did." He stated. "Do you hate him as much as I do?" He said, flicking his wrist and breaking the grip of the lances. Knight was mobile again and the lances had fallen to the floor since Skye couldn't focus enough to control them at the moment.

[~Lotus~]

"Oh, I don't hate him at all, you do know, that when you become someone's friend, there is an unspoken bond, and that bond has a rule, that you just realize, that you need to do whatever you can to help that person. I know that if you hurt someone now, you must only do it because it helps them in the long run, to save their life now, or help them in a way, that they know they couldn't see by themselves." She said, and then started crying also. She went over to Skye. "Now, I'm really sorry, but you made a promise now, and you have to keep it, though I will regret holding up my end if you don't keep it." She said trying to comfort Skye. She sat by him, and realized it was chilly. "My goal is to make you love, and hate, and smile. Helping friends, do things, they say they can't do, is all part of the job." Lotus said, tears rolling down her face.

[Mayiamaru]

Skye didn't look up. "You and I are not friends." He said lowly. "We have never become friends..." Skye's voice was weak. He didn't dare look at Lotus, Knight or Alice. He just couldn't. Knight scowled and glared at Lotus with a burning rage. "You see? He just doesn't accept people. And the ones that he does, he kills them. He always kills them." He snapped, stepping forward while lashing his bow out. Knight was still furious.

[~Lotus~]

"I know you don't open up to people much, and you can't love, or anything like that, but I think your my friend, and well, even though it may be a one sided friendship, I am still trying to help." She said, her tears still coming down, but slower, and she was not sniffling. "And, why are you the way you are?" Lotus asked Knight. She seriously wondered that.

Alice just stood there shocked. She never knew someone could give such a heart warming speech, and get so coldly rejected.

[Mayiamaru]

"I'm whole. Ever time I get near Skye, anger is natural. I'm half way to becoming human." Knight said, growling. "Skye took the chance I had... No the chance we had to become human!" He hissed, tightening his grip on his bow, his knuckles turning white. "Me and my brothers. We all cold have found each other and could have done the competition with no hard feelings, but he makes a deal with a reaper's assistant. He gambled away his soul and if no one-"

Skye cut Knight off by speaking. "No one is able to kill the dead... And you wish to make me suffer even more." He said, raising his head to lok Knight in the eye. Skye still held his sword in his hand and used it to stand up.

[~Lotus~]

Lotus didn't understand. Made a deal? Become human? "Well, I think I don't understand now. Lotus said, and just sat there, silently crying. She had no idea what she did. SHe knew nothing about these two. How could she have been so selfish, to think that they would stop fighting, just because she made the appeal. She was nothing, nothing to anyone anymore.
