- Kodah was… confused. She spoke about palicos as if they were just any monster, and it was… increasingly curious. He glanced back where they had came. His worry was not that Twig would abandon them; it was that Twig might not even know how to find them. But… even if the little cat could be a bit absent-minded, he was resourceful. Surely he'd be fine. “…alright,” he said slowly, looking forward again. He just had to trust the cat.
indntAs they walked, he quietly surveyed his surroundings, one hand resting on the scoutfly cage at his waist while the other hung freely. He glanced to Vahlen when she spoke. “Hm? Yeah.” Had she never seen an insect glaive before? That was forgivable, at least. They were fairly new weapons, after all, and they weren't everywhere. He raised the arm with the kinsect, who fluttered slightly. “This is my kinsect. He's connected to the glaive and I can… command him, sort of. He'll attack enemies for me. He doesn't do a whole lot on his own, but… depending on how you train them, they can be useful. He can cause a form of blastblight, sort of. Although… I'm not too keen on blowing something up with these creatures around. I'm sure they'll hear.” He smirked slightly at her question; slow. Hm… a few of the monsters were slow. But then his mind flashed to a thought of an odogaron sprinting at him from what felt like the other side of the Rotten Vale and he shook his head. “No. They're... pretty fast. But this weapon is a bit more of a mobility thing. I attack from the air, and it's surprisingly fast to use for it's size. What about you? You seem to be a little… lacking in terms of armor. So what about—”
indntHe cut himself off when he saw someone in very unusual clothing approach them. Another person! So they weren't the only ones out here that didn't have this… ah, problem. Or at least, the man looked healthy. Kodah was still a bit wary as the man approached, but he blinked when the man spoke. “No, we… don't know where we are.” Or at least he didn't. If Vahlen did, she made no indication of it. Why did the man talk to oddly?
