Syncratia is a planet located in an otherwise dead solar system, inhabited by a hardy species of insect otherwise known as the modern troll. While not being the original planet of the insects, disaster on Alternia forced them to migrate.
Syncratia has a climate similar to Alternia's with low oxygen levels and an intense, beating sun. However, it has three moons surrounding it - Xenon, Argon, and Radon.
Radon formerly housed the creation facilities and the Library, though the radioactivity present on the moon has since forced the old facilities to be shut down and for the workers to migrate to the other two moons. The Library, however, still continues to be used. While it is a shell of what it once was, it has become a key factor of the Syncratian creation system.
Lasting radioactivity from the trolls sent to Syncratia while Radon's creation facilities were running has since left somewhat more mutated generations of grubs. While some mutations are small, like an extra undeveloped horn, some are more noticable, like an extra arm. In extreme cases, a new subtype of the modern troll was created - the Neons.
They all lack the coloring of regular trolls - grey skin has become pure, snow white, eyes lack the usual pigmentation and have become filled in completely with that troll's blood color. A Neon's hair and horns still retain the original colors, though random patches of hair may be the color of that troll's blood, and their horns are much softer, with a consistency of a tough clay. More important is the shade of their blood - a bright neon shade of their original color. This is where the name is derived from.
Besides their somewhat odd looks, they tend to bruise easier and are much more prone to illness.
The Empress, surprisingly, doesn't much care for Syncratia. She has a team of scientists preparing to create a "perfect" troll, one free of all mutations and one that is loyal to the Syncratian empire. She wishes to completely destroy Syncratia and will stop at nothing to reach her goal.
Stop the Empress and save the world.
