When she mentioned the toad he let out a soft snort and took another glance at the food around the table. "A toad? That's rough. I probably would've lost my mind if that happened to me." Cam moved his hands to rest in between his legs, clasping them together and leaning forwards towards the table. At the mention of how he slept, he shrugged, looking down quickly before making eye contact again, "the usual. Didn't get much sleep, never do though so i'm used to it. Nothing I can't handle, been doing it for a while anyway." Cameron moved his hands back up to the table and clasped them together and kept his gaze on them. He bounced his leg up and down for a moment before lifting his gaze again. "So... What're you up to today? Anything interesting? Cameron wasn't sure what to say; however, he did enjoy talking to others so it was contradicting on his part.

Charlie awoke with a start and swung out of bed, nearly tripping over her trunk. She glanced around her room and noticed that many of the students were either in the common room, a guess or at the Great Hall for breakfast. Charlie groaned at oversleeping again and quickly cast a spell to help her get ready. She knew if she wanted to be ready on time she'd have to use some spells here and there. As soon as Charlie was finished getting ready she made her way out of the common room, taking a look around the dungeons before she made it to the Great Hall. She smiled at the smell of the fresh food and quickly made her way towards her table, seeing a familiar face, Jason.

for the other seventh year girls in gryffindor, it wasn't an uncommon site to see everlee sleeping in the peculiar fashion that she did on the rare days that the quidditch captain wasn't slipping out of the room in the early hours, ready for practice. one leg was kicked out from under her blankets, the other sprawled halfway across the bed near the other post, and the rest of the blanket tucked up to her cheek, her blonde locks spread over the white pillow that she was hugging tightly to the side of her face in an affectionate manner. as brielle approached the bed, katrina, everlee's loyal feline, fluttered her eyes open, having of settled herself for a morning nap on everlee's bottom as the girl slept on her stomach. katrina flicked her tail as the brunette gryffindor girl approached in a silent manner, giving a small purr as brielle attempted to wake her friend up. katrina was known around hogwarts for being an extremely friendly cat (almost dog-like in manner, but with much more composure), and often supported any teasing of her beloved owner, who usually took it well.

as brielle's gentle voice filled everlee's dream, the girl winced before her face returned to a gentle smile (probably dreaming about winning the quidditch cup). when brielle persisted, the blondes face contorted once more into a grimace before her eyes fluttered open for a moment - only to snap back shut, a friendly smirk playing on her lips as her eyebrows furrowed, outstretching her right hand from underneath her pillow to flail it helplessly at brielle, her delicate fingers splayed as if she were attempting to snooze an alarm clock, "ugh, seriously? go back to sleep, bri." the quidditch captain snapped, but the chuckle that laced her tone along with the broad smile on her face at the sight of her best friend gave it away all too easily that she certainly didn't mind the morning greeting - and she was, unfortunately, up for the day.

lugging herself out of bed with a groan (in which katrina had to leap out of the way, narrowly missing being squashed, and landed on the floor next to brielle, greeting the gryffindor with a purr and rubbing her head on the girls slim leg, begging to be pet), everlee tossed her blonde waves into a high ponytail, locking her fingers together and stretching her arms above her head for a moment before settling her blue eyes on brielle's amber. "dakota probably won't be down for another twenty minutes. what's the rush?" she simpered, before standing up and making large strides to the bathroom before the sixth year could retort. if there was one person who everlee was glad to have by her side, it was brielle. they had been friends since everlee's second year, but it was by luck that one of the sixth year girls had to move to the seventh year dormitory for a short while as they had run out of room during revision of the sixth year girl dormitories.

after having of fixed herself up in the bathroom by pulling down her hair to its full "glory", showering, changing into her uniform, and doing whatever other things gryffindor girls usually did in the morning, everlee was ready. exhausted, but ready. there was no way a year could start out poorly after a dream of quidditch the night before, hm?

"come on, there's not gonna be any food left. you know gryffindors. it's a bloody battle to get something to eat." she persisted, petting katrina lightly. she adored everlee's cat, and her own kitten loved to follow the older cat around. brielle had a cat for quite a long time, bringing him to hogwarts for her first year, but he was already old. he passed away in her fifth year due to old age, and it broke brielle's heart. for a back-to-school gift, her parents got her a tiny kitten, who she named luna. the kitten had grey fur and pale blue eyes, which reminded brielle of the moon. speaking of which, luna was nestled against brielle's pillow, still dozing away. her favorite place to sleep was right next to the sixth-year gryffindor, cuddled up beside her. hearing her best friend mention dakota, she blushed furiously. "i-i wasn't even talking about him!" she exclaimed, awkwardly shuffling her feet. "lee, why do you always have to tease me?' she asked, putting her head in her hands.

He walked into the Great Hall, and took a seat at the Hufflepuff table. He was definitely looking forward to classes starting - as odd as it might seem - for he would be starting NEWT-level work this year. He was hoping that he'd have at least either Herbology or Ancient Runes today, for they were his favourite classes (and happened to be the ones that he really excelled in). It would be even better if he had both, but he wasn't holding out for that. He was a little lost in thought, but he was brought out of it when another Hufflepuff sat next to him and greeted him. Smiling slightly in greeting, Skylar said, quietly, "Good morning," then he shook his head slightly in amusement of Dakota. "How are you today?" he then asked, his voice just as quiet as usual.

Lee-Jae entered the Great Hall with something of a flourish and an entrance. He didn't do 'small'. Then, he cast his gaze over the room, as if he was choosing which table he wanted to sit at - though that choice would be clearly the Slytherin table. No, he was really actually looking to see which students were already having breakfast. Then, he walked over to the Slytherin table and sat down, and he got himself a few slices of toast to eat. He ate delicately, as hungry as he was, and continued to cast his gaze around the table. He did scoff, seeing a Gryffindor was talking to a Slytherin girl - clearly the two of them flirting. Ugh. He tried not to be biased, but he really did hold a strong dislike for Gryffindors, as stereotypical as it was. At least he was quite the excellent Chaser, and had contributed greatly to the Slytherin team's Quidditch matches. He refocused on his own breakfast.

mirium woke up in a rush and got ready quickly. she woke up late in the first day of classes, which wasn't really the best impression. but when she looked at the time, it wasn't really that late. she sighed in relief and sighed again after thinking about the rush and stress for the past few minutes. she got out and walked out into the hall way to enter the great hall, where she saw many students, some new some old, eating and talking away. she sat down between some people and started eating.

I do have make up some Quidditch strategies so we can beat the other houses, but besides that not much. And you?” She looked around looking for some of her Quidditch teammates, but instead saw her sister walk in. She looked away in disgust. “Ugh. Siblings.” She mumbled under her breath.

The Slytherin kept his gaze down for a moment longer but lifted just in time to see her frown. He knew that was going to be the reaction-most people did whenever he said he rarely slept. He felt as if he didn't deserve their pity, but with how frequently he got it, he got used to it. Cam let his hands now rest on his biceps but kept his gaze up-not wanting to be rude. At the mention of Quidditch he perked up. "Really? Can't wait to see what the strategies are going to be. I think the Gryffindors could use a good beating. Especially a few select people. Wouldn't mind seeing them lose." Cam let a soft smile form on his lips as he spoke, a genuine smile. He loved Quidditch-it was the main reason why he didn't get in trouble more often. He wanted to be one of the best at Quidditch, it gave him hope in the rough days. At the mention of any plans for his day, he shrugged, "huh. Not entirely sure. Never really thought about what to do today-just sort of go through the day and hope for the best. I should get some work done and maybe." Cam ended abruptly and shook it off-he wasn't going to write a letter to his mother. It wasn't time. At the mention of siblings, he glanced over to indeed see her sibling. He let out a scoff before he spoke up, "I don't know that feeling, you know, only child and all that." The thought of a sibling seemed like a burden-especially in his case. He would have had to work every day of all his summer to pay for himself and a younger sibling considering his mother was having trouble doing so.
