Cameron finally made it into transfiguration just as another did, Mikoto. He remembered conversing with her briefly before in a previous year, maybe it was fifth or sixth, either way, his reputation at this point was trash so it didn't matter. He took a seat near her; out of coincidence or on purpose, he didn't know. He took a glance at her as he spoke, avoiding eye contact. "Morning. How are you?" Cam wasn't one for small talk but he knew it was better to converse than to stay silent, it was rude at least to ignore her and he'd rather engage the conversation from the start. He liked being in control of the conversation-something he learned quickly since his fifth year from the kid. If the kid had let him stay in control of the conversation he would have never gotten hexed.

Jesse narrowed his eyes at Lee-Jae before the question of his name stopped him from doing anything else. He bit his lip before reluctantly doing so. "Jesse." Jesse took another look at his potion before he tried to recall the next step he needed... rat spleens? Was that it? Jesse closed his eyes for a minute, trying to recall the professor talking about the steps he needed to complete or the textbook. Something about the potion turning purple and then... blank. Jesse let out a frustrated sigh before looking at the ingredients in front of him. Rat spleens. It didn't sound wrong. With the two Slytherins, who were clearly amazing at potions, across from his judging him he knew this was going to be a difficult class. Jesse closed his eyes before trying to clear his head. He knew this class wasn't his favorite and certain potions he struggled more than others but he truly did was to excel in this class-it was just hard. His uncle was nearly the best at potions-and he wanted to follow in his footsteps. His uncle could just whip up a potion as if it was nothing, and in many cases, it was best he could. Jesse was always getting into trouble back in the US and he wasn't surprised how often his uncle had to use a potion. "What's the point..." He mumbled to himself, glancing up at the professor as they busied themself with another student. Maybe I should just try to change the class and take Astronomy instead. Probably easier.

Charlie nodded again, "that's how I was at first-but I got used to getting small little cuts and bruises. Nothing serious." Charlie took a glance around the classroom before sighing. "I don't think this class ever ends to be truthful. Always droning on and on." Charlie put her hands on the table and let her head rest on it. She kept her eyes forward so the professor knew she wasn't asleep but just bored. She truthfully wasn't one for this class but she was interested in the magic orgins-just, maybe in a more fun way than learning it like this.

amanda snuck out of her room and opened the dorm behind the barrels. she was bored and
decided to have some fun. she walked down the twisted hallways and found herself at the
charms room. she creaked open to door and saw a bunch of the students in there. near the
door she saw a gryffindor she thought was named brielle. "hey, brielle, thats your name right?"

Ohh. That would explain it, then, Skylar thought, his gaze trailing towards the backpack again, almost as if he was hoping to catch another glimpse of the cat - Patches. "So she's one of those hairless breeds?" he asked. Well, duh, he though, scolding himself for asking something so obvious. He then nodded slightly, and smiled shyly. "Yeah, that would be nice... we'd probably have to be quick, though..." from the sounds of things, he figured that they'd probably have a couple of classes together, and he found himself hoping that it would be case... really hoping.

Admittedly, taunting the Gryffindor had been a lot of fun for Lee-Jae. But now it had already started to get boring, since he wasn't getting the outbursts that he wanted... and the Gryffindor just started looking, in his eyes, quite lost and pathetic. Now that his own potion had finished, Lee-Jae bottled it into a few glass vials, to be checked by the professor towards the end of the class. "Ugh. At least pretend to have a crazy outburst in exasperation," he complained, as he finished filling a vial with the last of his completed potion. He ignored the Gryffindor introducing himself, so he didn't exactly get his name. But nicknames would do just fine, he was sure. He sighed dramatically, as he watched the Gryffindor for a few more moments. "Fine. I can't stand you looking so pathetic, Puppy. You need to add the rat spleens, then the cowbane, in that order." Lee-Jae said, as he started clearing up his part of the table.

she looked up, becoming alert and turning towards the sound coming from outside the door. she saw a sixth-year hufflepuff who she didn't quite know and looked around. "um... yeah, that would be me. and you are?" she asked quietly, hoping the professor wouldn't hear her. he was quite old, but still had sharp senses.

bri chuckled and moved over a bit, letting amanda sit next to her. "charms with professor mardlebeak. he's probably my favorite teacher here." she said with a hint of sarcasm. she actually quite liked the teacher, he was funny and taught the class well, but she had never gotten to the point of a personal relationship with him, while she had with some other teachers. "you're a sixth-year right?" she asked, looking over at amanda and taking in her features.

bri grinned. "niceeeee. good start to the year, huh?" she asked, giggling lowly. "yeah, i'm sixth. but this is a hufflepuff-gryffindor class. maybe you're in it? i wasn't paying attention at all during attendance at the beginning of class." she said, smirking as she looked up to the front of the classroom at the professor who was seemingly asleep while the students were supposed to be doing some kind of lesson on their own. however, before he fell asleep, he forgot to assign it, so as long as they didn't wake him up they could do whatever they wanted.
