Aldis motioned his hand for them to start walking. He held the bag over his shoulders close, his cat's muzzle poking out of the smaller pocket. "I don't mind." He said, smiling softly as he began to walk. Walk and talk, walk and talk. Aldis tugged at his tie, grumbling that it was too tight. "I'm honestly sad that we don't have class together." He glanced up to avoid eye contact, that he was sure would be a questioning glance as to why he'd chosen those words. Why he'd said he was sad that didn't have the first class together. But hey, you never knew they could have another class together. "What extra classes are you taking this year? I've been trying my darned best to get into study of Ancient Runes but I doubt I got in. It wasn't on my schedule. But I do know I'll be taking art this year." Aldis told him, turning his head back to Skylar. His brown eyes sparkled in the light, his fluffy short hair getting stirred by the empty wind that went through the halls.

amanda step off of her bed and opened her curtains. she smiled and looked out the window.
she probably should be in class, but she was a new student and decided it would be best for
her to just hang out by herself. she grabbed her robe and held it up to her face, "wow," she
thought. a month ago she would've never thought she would be no where lucky enough to be
able to attend hogwarts. amanda set it back down on her dresser and laid back down on her
bed.

"Okay then," Skylar smiled warmly, and then he started walking as well. He glanced briefly at Aldis' bag - for he couldn't help but catch something unusual from the corner of his eye. His eyes widened slightly to see what he thought was... a cat's muzzle? How odd. He was going to get a closer look, or ask about it, but he decided not to. Not just yet - he wasn't sure if it would be intrusive to ask or potentially draw attention to the cat. He was quite surprised to hear Aldis' words, and he tilted his head slightly to one side. "Oh... well... we might do..." Skylar replied, since there was still the rest of the week of classes as well. "I'm taking Ancient Runes, for sure... I got an 'Outstanding' last year, on my O.W.L. for it... though I'll also be taking Arithmancy, Astronomy, Care for Magical Creatures, and Ancient Studies. I did drop History of Magic, Defense Against the Dark Arts and Divination though." He explained, then he glanced away, slightly embarrassed to have gone on a bit of ramble again.

He scowled, annoyed at having been unwilling introduced. Well, two could play at that game. "And that delightful individual," Lee-Jae added, sarcastically, without looking up from his cauldron, though he did point a thumb towards Tula, "is Tula Snowden." The Slytherin finally glanced up very briefly towards the Gryffindor. "How did you even get a high enough grade on your O.W.L. if you're asking for help now?" he asked, his expression looking innocent, but his tone was clearly filled with venom. He raised an eyebrow slightly, "And why bother choosing Potions for a N.E.W.T. if you're like a newborn puppy at it?" he blinked innocently, then he went back to focusing on his potion, pouring in the juice of four leeches, stirring quite vigorously, then adding in the rat spleen and cowbane before stirring it again, slowly.

Cameron finally made it into transfiguration just as another did, Mikoto. He remembered conversing with her briefly before in a previous year, maybe it was fifth or sixth, either way, his reputation at this point was trash so it didn't matter. He took a seat near her; out of coincidence or on purpose, he didn't know. He took a glance at her as he spoke, avoiding eye contact. "Morning. How are you?" Cam wasn't one for small talk but he knew it was better to converse than to stay silent, it was rude at least to ignore her and he'd rather engage the conversation from the start. He liked being in control of the conversation-something he learned quickly since his fifth year from the kid. If the kid had let him stay in control of the conversation he would have never gotten hexed.

The Gryffindor realized that these two Slytherins, Tula and Lee-Jae, were just as they had always been. Rude. Jesse narrowed his eyes before deciding to speak his mind-he wasn't going to let this stupid feud between the two houses stop him from passing this class. "Listen, I may not be good at potions but I want to get better. I don't just pick classes that are beneficial to what I want to do but that could help me later in life. There's no need to be such a-" Jesse stopped himself before crossing his arms. Both of these Slytherins were getting on his last nerve. There was no point in trying to ask them for help anymore if they were just going to have him feel bad about himself. "You know it wouldn't kill to be nice once in a while. At least Tula offered some sort of help." Jesse was so tempted to let his potion just sit there and ignore it-he couldn't stand these two but he knew he needed to complete the lesson. He glanced at his potion and saw it simmering a light purple, which was needed for his next step.

Charlie nodded in understand, "yeah, I mean I could've been nicer about it but what's done is done. And Transfiguration? Really? I'm alright at that class-it's something I wouldn't want to spend hours reading about though, it can get boring, at least for me. I prefer more hands on classes, like Care of Magical Creatures." Charlie adjusted her position on her seat so she could see Alice better and still have her eyes on her parchment incase the lesson started up and she needed to takes notes.

Shrugging one shoulder slightly, Alice replied “Always room for improvement. I prefer Potions over Transfiguration any day.” Gently closing the book she glanced back over and commented “Care of Magical Creatures is fine as long as there isn't a chance of getting sent to the hospital wing.” Thinking back to previous events in that class, Alice brushed off the thought of injuries others had sustained in the past.

bri couldn't have possibly been more bored in charms. the only thing that kept her from straight up leaving the class out of boredom was her thoughts of a certain hufflepuff boy, of course. her heart sped up every time she thought about him and she still could barely process what had just happened in the great hall less than an hour prior to her charms class.

A flash of surprise passed through her purple eyes when Lee-Jae said her name, she did not think the uncaring Slytherin would pay that much attention to other people. The moment of peace was short before the two were back at each others throats. Mentally rolling her eyes at the Gryffindors monologue, they were so sensitive and quick to defend themselves *Cough* making up for something much? *Cough*. She tuned out his voice turning back to her potion boiling green, she should probably leave it to at a lower heat to simmer for a while before she would proceed with the next step.

Her ears twitched as she heard her name being mentioned, if he continued with the kind words she just might stop helping the boy. "You do realise when people offer their names, the courtesy should be returned." She stated, looking pointedly at the Gryffindor who thought them rude. She watched as Jesse made the amendments to his brew, if anything went wrong she would help.

Waking with a start, Linus jumped out of bed when he realised there was no one else in the dorm. Crying in his mind, he mentally swore at his room mates for leaving him to sleep in. They were definitely going to get a surprise, from his special collection of prank sweets... hmm how would they sound as a cat?.. Grabbing his bag, he ran out of the Hufflepuff common room running to his class. It may be against the rules but detention was better than facing the profferers who class he was late to at least 6 times perviously. Linus was almost certain that the professor would hex him into a squirrel one day.

Screeching to a halt outside of the Transfiguration classroom he tidied himself up and walked in looking sheepishly at the teacher.
Seeing no hex coming his way, he sighed in relief as he realised he was just on time. Finding a random seat he took out his books, yet again cursing his friends out as his stomach groaned.

Aldis thought for a second, of what his schedule consisted of. He'dd been informed that if he'd gotten into Ancient Runes, it would appear on his schedule at some point in time. But he didn't know when that was. "I dropped a few core subject thanks to my O.W.L. scores." He said, and pulled his bag around to his front. "I'm only taking Divination and Herbology this year. Along with Astrology, so perhaps we'll be in the same class." Aldis smiled at Skylar and opened the small pocket of his bag. A small meow came from the bag. Aldis reached a finger into the pocket. "You need some more lotion on you. I though I put enough on this morning though... Did you lick it off?" He mumbled, half to himself, half to the cat. Aldis retreated his finger and zipped the bag back up to where there was a hole big enough for the cat's muzzle to poke through. "I'm also doing Muggle Studies and Care for Magical Creatures along with Art." Aldis said, carefully putting his bag back on his shoulders. He made a mental note to put more lotion on his cat after class. "Seems like we might have a few classes together." Aldis smile brightly at the other male.

He was quite surprised to hear that Aldis had dropped quite a few subjects, but he decided not to point that out. Skylar smiled warmly as he heard that Aldis would be taking Herbology as well. "Oh, I'm still taking Herbology as well. It's one of my favourite subjects..." he trailed off, slightly embarrassed by it. He was known to have a rather different approach to the plants that were studied, often using patience and gentleness towards them - though he would be firm if he had to be.
His eyes widened slightly when he heard the quiet meow, and he couldn't help but lean towards the bag slightly, in curiosity. "Is that a... cat?" Skylar asked, not being able to hold back asking.
Skylar nodded towards Aldis, "Yeah, hopefully... I mean, it would be nice to have at least one or two classes together..." he glanced away, shyly.

It sounded like he'd struck a nerve with the Gryffindor, and that sort of made Lee-Jae just shrug over it. "Such a what? Come on, Gryffindor, all that build up for nothing?" knowing that he may well be poking a stick at a sleeping bear (or lion, he supposed, going by the Houses). He then rolled his eyes slightly. He wasn't going to let himself get guilt-tripped into being nice.
"I'm nice to whoever I want to be nice to. Or if they can offer me something in return. You fall into neither of those categories," he brought the heat up on his cauldron, before waving his wand in a particular way, the potion starting to turn an acid green - as it was meant to in the final stages. "Besides, it wouldn't kill you to actually read the textbook and follow the instructions, hm?" Lee-Jae asked, and he tended to his potion, making sure that it still maintained a high heat.

Aldis smiled. So herbology was one of his favorite subjects? That was pretty interesting. "My favorite class, personally, is Astrology." Aldis told Skylar, before blinking as he asked about the cat. "Oh yeah, I do have a cat. Her name's Patches. The teachers allow me to carry her around thanks to her having to have lotion on every few hours on the dot." Aldis explained, gripping the straps of his backpack. "I hope we have the same classes together. That should be fun. Perhaps we could snag seats next to each other." Aldis said, smiling brightly
