Deidara

Male/19/Naruto Shippuden/Tags: Momo

Deidara snapped back out of thought when he heard a shout from behind him, and he instantly knew he wasn’t alone. Who were they and what were they planning to do? He had been seen by whoever this person was and if he tried to hide they’d eventually find him. He made a single C1 bomb shaped as a bird in his non-injured hand. If they were planning to kill him, he’d have to use this. The orders that were given were clear, and because he didn’t know their exact location, nor their abilities, he slowly stepped closer to the voice, keeping the small bird hidden well under his cloak. “That sure is one way to introduce yourself.” He remarked bitterly, becoming visible to the female, he noticed the staff. Placing his hands behind his back, he created two more of the explosive birds, while still maintaining eye contact with her, and noticing she was certainly not dressed like your average kunoichi. ”No protector or anything, is she a rogue?” He thought, getting slightly concerned but showing no signs of fear.

    ♔ -- princess

      female // 24 // twd comics // tagged; rantaro

Rantaro seemed to accept her nickname with a tinge of amusement; somewhat surprisingly, he didn't even ask about it. Not that that was a problem - it was actually somewhat refreshing, as she couldn't stand her real name. Other than that, he was fairly cryptic, being careful to reveal very little about himself and his previous status. Though, Princess couldn't really blame him for that. In a game like this, the stakes were incredibly high, and trusting people too much was an obvious liability. "Hmm, you don't say..." She murmured, deep in thought at Rantaro's comment about his own place of origin. She had the sense that they came from very different scenarios - not many people where she was from still wore stylish sorts of outfits or had colored hair (but she did, so why not someone else?), among other things she couldn't quite put her finger on. She chose not to pry any further, as it wouldn't be effective anyway, and just move along. If she was someone who was desperate to win, she probably would've shot him right away, but she'd been deprived of social interaction for so long that she'd have given anything for a few short conversations with somebody. Even if they were conversing about the details of what appeared to be a frighteningly complex murder game. "We really don't know how powerful they are." Princess exhaled a frustrated puff of air, wrapping her hand around the strap holding her gun over her shoulder. "I mean, powerful enough to mess with our memories, obviously, but...what can they really do?" She wondered.

It was clearly a rhetorical question, as she didn't expect Rantaro to know the answer, but she was quite disconcerted by where that train of thought took her. There was no way the masterminding force behind this would leave themself within reach of the competitors, but it seemed as though that would make it harder to influence the events of the game. Unless...maybe they were one of the contestants, surveying the game from the inside? But if that was the case, didn't they risk getting killed or seriously injured? Otherwise, they were just watching the game from some secret control room that it might be downright impossible for the players to access. Even then, that didn't answer the question of how much control they actually had over this playing field. After all, this could be some crazy sci-fi scenario where the whole arena was synthetic in the first place?

The other in front of him made a relatively quick turn from acting as though she didn't know there was even a game being played to giving an enthusiastic - but rather brief - explanation of her strategy...or lack thereof, really. Only about half of it made sense, with the other half just sounding like deranged ramblings to a man who hadn't shared her experiences. It made him wonder briefly if her true strategy was to discreetly confuse him in order to put him off his guard. It would be interesting if that were the case, but of course he would be careful not to play into it. She also had a utilitarian sort of perspective: let the game run its course, numerous lives would be lost; kill the person running things, only one need be taken. The others could return home, likely to kill more people in their own realms. Topped off by her lamenting how hard it was to pretend to hate people. An amazing thing to say for somebody who still had a gun trained on them; she had to have been some sort of 'flower child' type, which might explain why she sounded like she'd utterly lost her mind. "Ya got a gun pointed at your face - the hell do you think it is?" Eddie coughed, in his usual blunt, brusque manner. He had to assume the kid had at least a few screws loose at this point - and he must have, too, to let her keep talking nonsense for this long. Perhaps it was because he still had yet to figure out exactly what to make of her, and there was a chance - albeit slim - that he could get to the bottom of this kid's strangeness before hopefully putting her six feet under and getting on with his life.

"Wait," Sali said, "so that is supposed to be a weapon then?" She couldn't help but snicker a little at the thought. "It's a bit small, isn't it?" It was strange, he was acting as though the so-called "gun" should scare her (and also like she should know what it was), but there was simply no way it could be threatening. Even if it was supposed to be some sort of miniaturized cannon, the technology didn't exist to make cannonballs on that scale that were anywhere near deadly. Maybe it was a bluff.

"Well, either way," the artificer said, "I'm assuming it means that we're supposed to kill each other. Which, I'd rather not, you seem like an upstanding fellow, but just in case..." Sali's fingers flexed once more, a sound like tumbling boulders filling the air as her skin turned the color of granite. At the same time, her rune arm began to glow, slowly starting to revolve around her forearm. It wasn't a very trusting gesture, but that was how rogues were. This one didn't seem particularly disposed towards her, it wouldn't do to keep her guard down. Just because he didn't look threatening now, didn't mean he wasn't. That's what Anarchy was always telling her, anyways. She wasn't sure she agreed, but now was as good a time as ever to put the Warlock's advice into practice. "I hope we can discuss this like reasonable adults," she said, pulling her crossbow from her pack. "I think this is the first time I've come across a human that wasn't insane in one of these things. You are still sane, yes? It's awfully hard to tell what's what when one starts jumping planes, though I'd suppose that's rather the point."

Lowering her staff as Deidara revealed himself, Momo was relieved that it was another person and not one of the creatures that was said to be roaming around this area. Then again she should be wary of anyone that was around given the circumstances they were currently under. It wouldn't hurt to try and trust someone else though. Resting the staff on the ground, the girl stood tall beside it before offering a faint smirk at his words. Sure her way of "introducing herself" hadn't been all that ideal and had been quite reckless, but it had done the trick to say the least. The whole point was to get him to come out and he had done just that. "I apologize for coming off as rude like that, but after hearing something slam against that wall, I figured I had to take a stern tone," she admitted. For all she could know this man could have already killed someone and that was what the noise she heard had been. There really was no way for her to be certain on such though. If things did go wrong, she could always try to defend herself. Making a shield might be ideal, but it would take a bit longer than the staff. For now she couldn't think of such things though. "Have you been trapped here as well? I woke up in this strange place and the only information given to me was in a pamphlet. Does the same apply to you?"

    Miu Iruma//DRV3//Tags: Stinger
Miu came to a stop in front of the young man, looking him up and down. Besides the scorpion tail and the spear he held, he looked like a normal person. She certainly didn't recognize him. She crossed her arms. "Hey, so..." She pulled out the crumpled pamphlet from her pocket and waved it, "Did ya get one of these?" Maybe this was all some stupid joke that someone tried to play on her, and there was no game. Though Miu wanted that to be true, she knew that the likelihood of it was low. She was in a killing game before this, so if this situation was real, she wouldn't have trouble believing it.

    Azura//FE:13//Tags: Klaus
"Ah, you too? That's not too different from me." Azura said. The last thing she remembered was going to sleep in her bed. What happened next...she couldn't remember. She should've woken up in her bedroom, but instead she found herself here, in this ruined city. She wondered what happened, and if there was anyone here who knew. "Have you seen anyone else?" She asked, curious. Klaus was the only person who she's seen so far, but the pamphlet made it clear that there were others.

ʀᴀᴄʜᴇʟ ɢᴀʀᴅɴᴇʀ
Female - 13 - Satsuriku no Tenshi (Horror RPG) - Form - Location: City - Tagged: Labrys, Keebo

Rachel widened her eyes a little as Labrys walked towards the newcomer and asked that question about him. She couldn't help but notice the "too" appended to the final part of her question. Did that mean Labrys herself was an "anti-shadow suppression weapon"? The girl did not understand what Labrys meant by that, though the word "weapon" caught her interest. Despite looking like a high-school girl, it would make some sense if Labrys was designed to be a weapon of sorts. She had the strength to carry that huge axe with strange mechanisms that looked somewhat like rockets. Her build was also lean and well-proportioned- perfect for combat. The blonde-haired girl also noticed the wavering of her tone when she talked to this fellow robot, though from her words, it seemed like she was quite surprised to see another one of her kind. The other robot seemed to be determined to dispel any thoughts they might have of him being dangerous, though. She tilted her head slightly. "Keebo..." she repeated, softly. "But you don't look 'very much like a human' to me..." Her tone was quite blunt at the last part, though it held a bit of confusion. Keebo had said that he was made to be very much like a human, and he certainly talked like one. His face was also quite expressive. In fact, compared to the two robots, Rachel felt like she might be more... reserved with her expressions. That wasn't good. She really did not want to make Zack kill her if she's still as boring as ever. Maybe her time stuck in this place could give her a chance to work on her expressions, so that when she got out of here, she could appear less boring...

Rachel snapped out of her trance, realizing that she had spaced out again. "Oh, um... My name is Rachel Gardner," she introduced herself. Gesturing towards the robotic maiden, she continued, "And she's Labrys." She wasn't sure if Labrys would like it for Rachel to introduce her, but she felt like it would be better to get introductions out of the way to move on to the important stuff: what was going on here. Labrys, Keebo, and Rachel herself received pamphlets of their own. At first, Rachel had assumed all of the "players" would be human. However, meeting Labrys and then Keebo had casted those thoughts out of her head. Being robots would certainly give them an advantage over the rest. They would be immune to a lot of the dangers: thirst, hunger, sickness. Rachel was used to being at a disadvantage, so she didn't complain. "That means you were brought here by Exie too, right, Keebo? I wonder why..." she muttered, almost like she was thinking aloud. "And how did Exie even bring us here anyways?" She remembered that she had been with Zack before coming to this place, and that guy would definitely slice Exie to bits if Exie had snuck up on them to take her to this place. Then again, there was a possibility that Zack had been taken here as well, though it was unlikely. Knowing that guy, there was no way he was going to allow himself to be captured so easily.

Male - 16-17 - Danganronpa V3 - Form - Location: City Square - Tagged: Princess

It was somewhat surprising to have Princess accept Rantaro's theory of Exie erasing their memories without much resistance. Generally, people would try to deny that possibility because of how far-fetched it was. Then again, Princess had claimed that she came from a place not too different from this one. To top that off, she had a gun with her, making the green-haired boy believe that she might've had a rough life back home. Maybe whatever experiences she had back home led her to accept his speculation so easily, just as his own experiences made him adapt to this one without too much shock. Listening to her question, Rantaro gave a nonchalant shrug. "Who knows..." he said. "Easiest way for Exie to 'spice things up' would be to mess with us psychologically. Make us paranoid, you know? Provide some sort of 'motive' that would make people desperate to get out at any cost." He couldn't help but think back to the killing game he had been prior to this one. The mastermind had directed the game through a mascot called Monokuma, but the mastermind themselves had been hiding in the academy. He wondered what sort of method Exie would choose to be able to interfere with the game. Was it possible that Exie might be hiding among them? It would certainly make it easier for them to influence the game and "spice things up", although it would be very risky. While this situation had its similarities to the killing game he had been in, posing as one of the players brought more risk than last time. What with the players being encouraged to freely kill and even allowed to bring their own weapons, Exie would be in a lot of risk. Then again, that risk might be an excitement for Exie. Judging from their words in the pamphlet, it seemed that Exie was an extremely bored individual to the point that they would host a game of bloodshed just for their entertainment. Of course, it would make more sense if Exie was watching them from afar, monitoring their progress. "Then again, like you said, we don't know what Exie is capable of. They could even interfere in a more physical manner. Who knows?"

Realizing how ominous his words were, a calm laugh escaped his throat. The boy put a hand behind his head, rubbing his wavy locks of green hair rather sheepishly. "Whew, sorry about all that. Didn't mean to make the situation feel worse than it already is," he apologized. "Guess I'm just a little tense, you know? It's not every day you suddenly find yourself in a killing game like this..." Despite this, his words seemed to contradict the almost-eerie calmness that emanated from the teenage boy. It wasn't his first killing game, after all.

"Ah.." Looking as she pulled out the pamphlet and waved it around, Stinger sighed and pulled his own out of the pocket he had tucked it in. So it seemed that this was another one of the people who were to be players in this game. He glanced down at the pamphlet for a moment as if thinking, then looked up again. "It seems we're both stuck as part of this. I assume that I'm the first you've come across?" Even though he didn't particularly like it, establishing some sort of knowledge about who else was here with him would be useful, no matter how little he got, if only to be able to protect himself. It seemed to him that this girl wasn't going to suddenly spring on him, but he still kept a slight air to the side of caution.

"Seriously?" Miu grumbled, tucking the pamphlet away. He had one too. Now the question was, why? Why did this 'Exie' person, whoever they were, bring them here? Her mind kept wandering back to the killing game she was involved in before she came here. She wondered if the two were connected somehow. Perhaps 'Exie' was an alias for Monokuma, or whoever controlled him. That didn't seem right, but it was the only thing she could come up with. "Uh, yeah. Who are ya anyways? Are you an Ultimate too?" She said, looking him over again. He appeared to be a few years older than Miu, she highly doubted he was a high school student. If this whole thing is Monokuma's doing...then what's this guy doing here?

Deidara

Male/19/Naruto Shippuden/Tags: Momo

Deidara watched as she lowered the staff, the hand mouths subconsciously subtracting the chakra and reusing the clay, as there was likely no need for bombs now that the weapon had left her hands. Just in case, the clay bird hidden in his cloak remained. Who knows what the other people are like? "It's fine. It was just a lizard anyway." He gave a small smile towards the girl.
"It does, the idea of having to constantly be on guard from other people isn't artistic at all." He muttered, seemingly getting lost in thought for a moment. "Well, I'm Deidara, and I'm from Iwagakure. How about you?" He asked. It probably wasn't worth it to tell her some basic details, but it was going to help gain a bit of trust.
It probably also wasn't worth lying about his current affiliation, but if Pain found out he spilled any information about the Akatsuki, he'd have to suffer some certainly unpleasant consequences. "The rules are so twisted. I'm lucky she doesn't seem like the aggressive type." He noted mentally.

Cassian grumbled, rolling over onto his other side as rays of scattered sunlight danced on his golden face. Sunlight? Cassian grumbled something, he was sure he'd closed the curtain blinds so he could get some extra sleep last night, did Azriel open the blinds for him or something? "Azriel, I swear to Cauldron you better not be messing with me this time you--" But as Cassian's hazel eyes fluttered open, they were met by not his comfortable room in Vetalis, but a ruined building covered in vines. Strange. Cassian glanced around from his spot on the ground, and widened his eyes at a small multi-legged insect scuttled across his hand, where underneath a pamphlet lay. Cassian shuffled to a sitting position, taking the pamphlet into his hands-- which he had noticed were wrapped with his Illyrian leather gauntlets. The red Siphons glittered like blood rubies in the light. At least he had a way to control his power, he thought as he skimmed through the pamphlet. Rage burned through him instantly, who in the Mother was this Exie and where could he find her to wring her neck? A low snarl escaped his lips as he continued reading.

Apparently, this was a fight to the death. Whoever was left on the top would win... and those who failed to win would never get to return home. Pain lurched in his heart. Never go back home? Die here, without a proper burial? A whimper escaped him. Never be able to see his brothers-- Rhys and Azriel. Never see Morrigan, Amren, Feyre, Elain... or Nesta? He stared at the pamphlet as he narrowed his eyes at the animals and 'Savage'. At least he shouldn't have to worry about that, since he was a Fae. Cassian folded the pamphlet and stuck it into one of his boots. He ran his hands through his tussled brown hair, frowning as he thought of a way to get out of this without having to kill innocent people for some person's entertainment. The Illyrian was suddenly aware of the situation. He had only his Illyrian Leathers as protection, which he didn't mind since they were armor-- and the Illyrian sword that was slipped between his wings and strapped to his back. And yet, he wouldn't have to draw it usually... Unless his powers were limited. Cassian rubbed his chin as he thought, frowning deeply as he began to walk, trying to avoid any plants that fit the descriptions on the pamphlet. He knew he had a chance of surviving this, but he knew he had to win. If not for Rhys or Azriel... then... for Nesta. But he'd be hurting innocents to get home, and that's what troubled him.
