xxx Why of all places did my hiding spot have to be Earth? It was not like I had any connection to it which is what I suppose made it perfect. That as well as needing to speak with a few officials that had gotten lost here. I suppose since my mother had connections that were from this planet I would manage to get around. however I have a feeling that this whole endeavour based on assumption is going to erupt in flames as soon as it becomes important for me to have to complete any sort of assignment. I was supposed to be receiving it tonight, but that could also be incorrect.

xxxAfter a while of puzzling as to what my next move should be I decided to get something from the coffee shop. They had given me a little bit in exchange for my wages last pay check, in a new form of currency instead of units. Strange. I had not gotten used to the odd looking green bills with pictures of famous people. I must assume these people are important in some way or another being as they were the ones chosen to be on earth currency. I stepped in through the door ordering quickly the thing that sounded the most interesting. The place was crowded with people, however I did notice that a few of them were giving me strange glances because of my ears, I was beginning to regret having my hair pulled back into a ponytail.

Alena Ourania-Thordottir | Female | Location: Streets of NY | Tag[s]: Phoenix Quill; Negasi Udaku
"And to you Peterson." Alena replied remembering the name of the Star-Lord her father had once fought alongside. She listened as the guy explained to her about taking on his father's name. "So you are not of Earth either? You are of Space?" She wondered curiously. He seemed human yet he spoke about space as if he lived there. She knew she probably sounded strange but because Earth English wasn't her native tongue, she had a few problems trying to find the right words. "My father told me many tales of his battles on Midguard and with a group he called The Avengers and since then I have always been intrigued by this realm." She continued. She was probably babbling on which was a habit for her and usually if she ever did that than Kari would tend to stop her before it got out of hand but unfortunately her little sister was back home on Asguard. Alena soon spotted someone begin to approach them from the corner of her eye and turned to see a another guy.

Kari Odinson | Female | Location: Streets of NY | Tags: Alena, Phoenix (Briefly)

The streets were busy by now. As she made her way along the crossing, Kari found herself being pushed, shoved, and practically lost within the crowds. She fought her way across the street, eventually making it to the opposite end of the sidewalk. This was such a strange world. Midguard was nothing like she’d ever pictured. The people...they were always so busy. The world felt so rushed, as she stood there, practically in a daze as life went on. Still, perhaps there did happen to be a silver lining. No one noticed her. No one cared. And for now, that was a good thing.
Her eyes scanned ahead, attempting to find a somewhat quieter section of this living city. The crowds were a little more dispersed ahead. So that was the direction Kari set off in. As she made her way to a cross section, a certain pair caught her eye. The man was unrecognisable, but the girl? She almost looked like....”Alena?” Realising she’d said this out loud, Kari ducked down, pulling her hood over her face. What was she doing here? Had she been sent to get her? Kari’s mind was racing with questions, but she couldn’t stop now. She loved her sister more than anything, but she wasn’t going to be brought home. Not yet.

James Strange | Male | Location: Library | Tags: Open

James quietly made his way inside the grand building, the loud, busy streets completely contrasting with the silence of the library, it was a pleasant welcome to have. He made his way to the far section, where one would often find non fiction novels. It was something James often did during his spare time. Brush up on as much knowledge as he could. There had to be more to his powers than he knew himself. His hands slowly ran along the thick spines, as he finally made a choice. ‘Forces of the Universe’ seemed like a good place to start.

Phoenix Quill | Male | Location: The Streets of New York | Tags: Alena, Negasi
Somehow, this had been the best conversation Phoenix had taken part in so far, though that may be because he argued with the Guardians of the Galaxy when they spoke about things he disagreed with. And he hadn’t been able to get on this well with any of the humans he had spoken to, either. “Well... When I say I’m from space, I really mean that I’ve lived there for a while... Several years, maybe, before coming back to Earth. I prefer it out there, though, because there’s more freedom up there. It’s better than being stuck down here, at the very least” he was now staring up at the sky, just now noticing that it was quite clear, not many clouds were in the sky. It hadn’t reached mid-day yet, either, so there was still a lot of light left. When Alena started speaking again, he quickly looks back to her, realising that he didn’t hear the first part of what she had been saying. Something about The Avengers and their fights, maybe. “I never really heard much about the Avengers, if I have to be honest... Though from what I did hear, I don’t think my father is a big fan of them...” he thought about it a bit more, and then noticed that Alena was looking somewhere, so he turned his gaze in that direction, seeing another person he didn’t recognise, but who was probably important.

Daithi Maximoff | Male | Location: A Cafe | Tags: Christine
Upon hearing someone else enter the coffee shop, Daithi brought his gaze up to the counter, seeing someone there who didn’t appear to be human. Unlike everyone else that was looking, who had looks of confusion, maybe a hint of scaredness, Daithi was curious. He was curious about why she was on Earth. He was curious about how she looked. He was curious about what she knew of Earth already. One of the servers called the name he wrote on the note (not his real name, barely anyone knew his real name), and then he waves them over for his order, and so he could pay. Once the server had gone back to behind the counter, Daithi looked back over at the strange girl, only staying sat down because he didn’t want to approach someone if he didn’t know what they were like.

Aittor Lokison | Male | Location: The Library | Tags: James
Aittor stifles a yawn, pondering over going back home, and then he hears movement. Movement from someone, he didn’t know who, that had entered the Library and who was probably looking for some books. Moving each book he had been planning to read off the table, one by one, he used his illusion magic to store them somewhere with several other items and, once all the books were stored, he stood up and silently walked through the building, passing shelves and shelves of books, until he saw someone there, getting out a book. Aittor silently watched what was happening, pondering over what he should do next. While a simple introduction would be easiest, he didn’t want to do the easy way. There would surely be some way for him to make a grand entrance, while also not disrupting anyone else in the library... That was when it clicked, he could use an illusion to make everyone else in the library see nothing happening over here, also keeping anything that happened to one area, just in-case this person has unstable powers, or they try to start a fight for no reason.

xxx I could feel the prickle of knowing that someone was watching me at the back of my neck. It was something that I had gotten used too over the years. However I have also gotten used to listening to it as it is one of my best instincts. It has helped me in the field a plethora of times, thankfully it saved my partners life once. He was always freaked out by how good my instincts were. He never really took the time to get used to me, I have a feeling that He never will. Especially if-. I shuttered at the thought. I know that the fear of the name makes the fear of the object itself worse, but all logic seems to defy me in this situation.

xxxI grabbed the latte when my name was called. I looked down at the cup seeing a little heart over the I in Tina. It was cute, I looked up to see a younger looking man. Maybe a year or two younger than I was and I frowned. Everyone expects coming out to be a one time thing, however it seems to follow you with every single person that you meet in life. I turned around not wishing to engage further seeing someone was looking at me from across the room. His eyes seemed to be darting into my soul searching for answers as to why I appeared a little different than the others. Which was to be expected, given my slightly mint green completion and pointed ears. I took in a deep breath and approached. "I'm sorry, but is there something I can do for you?" I asked allowing my voice to remain soft instead of the normal interrogative tone that I often took with my other colleagues.

Oliver Maximoff
18|Male|Homosexual
Son of Scarlet Witch
Location: Cafe
Tagged: Daithi, Christine.
He left Central Park, and started walking down the street. So far, so good. Maybe he could spend a little more time outside. After all, he hadn't been swarmed by agents (yet, he reminded himself), and things seemed to be going well. And... well, he was getting hungry. Spotting a cafe nearby, he diverted his route, and went inside. He didn't have to spend long here - he could even get something to drink and eat to-go, perhaps. Oliver checked he actually had money, and, satisfied that it was enough, he got into the queue. As he glanced around the cafe, just to check how full it was, he was surprised to see that there was a girl with light green skin - no doubt not from Earth. But he didn't stare at her, for someone else caught his eye - his cousin, Daithi, was here. He froze for a moment, then he glanced away, attempting to look as though he'd not seen either of them.

Julian Lang
21|Male|Bisexual
Son of Antman&The Wasp
Location: Apartment.
Tagged: Open.
"Almost done..." Julian muttered, just fixing the last component on the iridescent wings that attached to the back of his suit. Then... "Finished!" he announced, and turned to face his audience - three large tanks that housed his ants. It was extremely odd, he knew, but he quite liked having them for company. Besides, the ants were incredibly useful. Holding a finger to his earpiece, he silently instructed several of his crazy and carpenter ants to help him put away his equipment. While he didn't have the luxury of having the huge space and resources of the Pym Mansion - where he used to reside - he still had pretty much all that he needed. The only reason he was here on his own was the help ensure that the Government wouldn't find him, since the Pym Mansion would be one of the places the Government agents would be sure to look. Once everything was away, Julian sent the ants back to their colonies, and he went to put his suit away.

Negasi Udaku
23|Male|Bisexual
Son of T'Challa
Location: Streets of NY
Tagged: Phoenix, Alena.
He didn't have to announce his presence, for it seemed that the two conversing people noticed him on their own. He crossed his arms over his chest, in greeting, and said, "Hello. My name is Negasi Udaku, of Wakanda." he could practically sense the Dora Milaje, suddenly on alert, prepared to protect him if anything happened. The ability to have an invisible ship parked on top of a building meant that he could have not deterred anyone from coming with him. He studied the two of them, carefully, and then he added, "I'm here to offer my protection, in return for the same. With this Government taking a search for descendants of previous superheroes and protectors of Earth..." he glanced towards the male, "...and the galaxy... my father and I agreed with our council to provide refuge or protection to those being targeted." Negasi kept his tone quiet, so that no passers-by could hear what he was talking about.

Alena Ourania-Thordottir | Female | Location: Streets of NY | Tag[s]: Phoenix Quill; Negasi Udaku; Kari Odinson
A familiar voice came from behind her. Alena turned quickly to try and confirm her suspicions but there was no-one there. She sighed but frowned slightly. She thought she heard Kari but that was impossible as she was back home on Asgard. Turning back to face Phoenix she ran a hand through her dark brown hair. "I can sympathize with being stuck in the same place. I have ever only lived on two realms and never allowed elsewhere due to my parents fearing that I may get hurt." She commented as she thought about her childhood on Olympus and Asgard. "It can be rather frustrating and annoying." She listened to the last part of what Phoenix said and laughed slightly. "I could say the same about my father." As the guy from before approached and spoke to them, Alena turned to face him as he spoke. “I am Alena Ourania-Thordottir, of Olympus and Asgard.” She replied before adding "What do you mean refuge?” She frowned slightly not quite understanding what he was saying but he did recognise the name Wakanda as there was a human that her father knew who was ruler of that land. Could this be a relative?

Kari Odinson | Female | Location: Streets of NY | Tags: Alena, Phoenix, Negasi

Kari had made it a short distance from her sister, before she looked again, finally confirming her suspicions. It really was her. Kari hadn’t seen Alena in months, yet here she was. And of all places, on Midguard? What could possibly have brought her here? Kari studied her features and body language. She didn’t seem worried at all. Instead, completely relaxed. She couldn’t have been looking for Kari. Now, her curiosity was peaked even more. Her eyes moved to the pair who stood nearby, converting with her sister. There was something unusual about them both. Perhaps...they had abilities. Just like herself. Kari leaned back against a bench, listening in closely. They didn’t know each other, as far as she could tell. It sounded like introductions. Maybe these people knew more about what was going on. Earth wasn’t exactly the safest place at the moment. No doubt had they been here longer. But Kari refrained from moving. Not yet, at least. She was still worried about what her sister would say. Kari hadn’t told a soul she had planned to be here. But maybe Alena hadn’t either.

James Strange | Male | Location: Library | Tags: Aittor

James slid the book from the shelf, his hands slowly brushing off the light dust. Guess no one’s into this sort of thing lately... he thought, starting to make his way towards a nearby seat. But a sudden presence caught his attention, and James paused for a moment, eyeing a man who was looking directly at him. A mysterious looking fellow that stood not far from him. There was something almost....unsettling. James could feel it. Did this man have powers? He dropped his arms to his sides, his left hand wandering behind his back, out of sight. “Can I help you?” Though his tone was friendly, his concern was evident. He didn’t know quite what he was up against here. And while James wouldn’t start something without reason, there was always room for extra caution.

Phoenix Quill | Male | Location: The Streets of New York | Tags: Alena, Negasi
Something about protection from the government. This person was from Wakanda, so he was important. “I still don’t even know what’s happening” Phoenix says “But, sure. If something’s up, I want to sort it” then he glances at Alena again. He had noticed that she turned earlier, perhaps she heard something. And then he looks back to Negasi. “As an unofficial Guardian of the Galaxy, since Earth is part of the Galaxy my father and his friends seek to protect, that means that I will be here to help protect Earth from whatever the threat is... Which I don’t actually know...” he didn’t know if he cared that much about what was happening, but if someone from Wakanda was here to offer Superheroes refuge, it must be big.

Daithi Maximoff | Male | Location: A Cafe | Tags: Christine, Oliver
When she came over and spoke to him, Daithi instantly took on a shocked expression, and then he looked away. Had he been staring? She had seen him looking at her... It took a while for him to work out what he wanted to say, considering the fact that he had been caught looking, and once he somehow managed to work up the courage, he looked back up at her. He had considered he fact that, since she probably wasn’t human, she wouldn’t recognise his accent, which made things a little easier for him “I... I’m sorry...” he says, averting his gaze yet again to look around the cafe. “... I...” he was pretty sure he had just seen one of the only people he would talk to. Oliver. What was he doing here. Daithi then shifted his gaze back to Christine “Do you know anything about has been happening recently?”

Aittor Lokison | Male | Location: The Library | Tags: James
He had been spotted, but that was OK. “You’re the first person I’ve seen in this section of the library for a while” Aittor says, softly, glacing briefly at James’ hands. One was behind his back, meaning he was ready for a fight. “What’s the book?” he asks, glancing at it’s spine “Forces of the Universe? So... Magic? Is that your power?” Aittor had flicked through that book once before, just to see what it was about. A lot of it was just magic or things unrelated to what he could do. Looking back to the face of the one he was speaking to, he had to do his best to not use his Shapeshifting “Ahh, that makes sense now. I can see the similarities between you and your father... If my guess is correct” Aittor then holds out his left hand and looks at it, using an illusion to make it look like he had magic around that wrist, and then he looks up at James “I’m correct, right?” and then he makes it vanish “My name’s Aittor, hi”

xxxI hated feeling that I was being watched by someone, let alone that someone else was studying my movements. However the reaction that this stranger had given me was obviously that of someone who did not intend to be watching me. I felt relief wash over me in the masses as this happened, at least I knew that he wasn't trying to make a spectacle of me. I held the warm cup in my hands as though it were made of some kind of gold. The heat that was radiating onto my hands reminded me of my sense of feeling, it was a funny thing that I had noticed about my skin sometimes reacted differently to being exposed to warm materials. I think that my mom said it was something my father used to be able to do as well, that his species came from somewhere that was almost hot. I think that the planet started with a 'v'? I am probably very wrong however.

xxxI snapped back into realty when the person in front of me's eyes began to wander to someone behind him. It took all of my strength to not snap my head around to see what he was looking at. It was partially my instinct, I have had a lot of interviews where the person that I was in the process of interviewing found something more interesting than my questions to focus their attention on. It irritated me, its not like I was a cruel person. I never wanted to be, I just wanted the truth and they didn't seem to understand that. I shook my head when he asked me about what is going on, the pit of my stomach beginning to itch with worry. I was sent on a mission, but really I know why they sent me from Xandar, they don't want someone to come find me. "Happening? Not a clue, does it pertain to me in some way?" Which was strange to ask in the first place. I have never met this person before why should be assume that is has anything to do with me.
