    Yet again another year at this school. She would only have to stay here for two more. Liz was more than ready for the streets of Blüdhaven, to help her parents defend the common person on the street, but they still insisted she attended the school. Just two more years. If she hadn't been put into the Shadow league she probably wouldn't have been so successful here. Liz was used to tough training, the stealth the fighting, all due to her father, and even on some occasions her adoptive grandfather (whom she had never beaten, but hopefully one day).

    As she had so many times before, Liz entered the courtyard of the school with her head held high. She wasn't going to drag down the reputation of her league with a bowed head, she knew the importance of image. Briefly, blue eyes landed on a girl next to the fountain- she must have been new, Elizabeth had never seen her before. Whoever the girl was, she had better be prepared for the regime here, especially if she was in shadow. Fixing a charismatic smile to her face, one she had all too often seen on her father's, she approached her. "I wouldn't recommend sitting there, some people enjoy pushing people into the fountain " she said, she herself had done it once, after it was done to her, taking in all the details visible on the girl. "Sorry, Elizabeth Grayson, Shadow league."

Aittor Lokison | Male | Shadow League | Tags: Open
Aittor walks into the courtyard and looks around, it appeared to be mostly empty right now. Good. That should mean that not many people were here yet, so he’d be able to tell who was new and who wasn’t. His gaze passed two people at the fountain, talking. A lot of new people tended to sit by the fountain, he had gotten used to seeing others push them in, and at one point he had has used his illusions to make it look like he was sat there, only to push the person who had tried to push him into the fountain waters. Looking around for somewhere to sit, he decides to make a bench appear, and so he sits there, just to watch to see what people were like. Looking back to the fountain again, he noted that Elizabeth was talking to the person sat there, so perhaps the new person was also in Shadow League. That would be nice. It would be another person to amaze with his powers.

Phoenix Quill | Male | Star League | Tags: Open
He lands in the courtyard, having flown there using his rocket boots, and then he looks around, taking note of how empty it was. Two girls were at thr fountain, some magic user was on a bench, that was it. He decided to head inside, just to see if anyone else was here, hopefully it wasn’t just three people. Upon entering the main hall, he saw someone walking there, another female. There weren’t many people here, he wasn’t THAT early, was he? “Surely there’s got to be more people here...” he says to himself as he looks around “It can’t just be me and three others” he says to himself as he stands there.

Fiona Thordottir | Female | Moon League | Tags: Christine
Fiona did her best to just walk through the courtyard, but she was secretly excited to be here. It was a school with tons of Superheroes and maybe some Villains in, there’d be a lot of people her age, and she’d get to use her powers more often than if she had gone to a regular school. It was a new experience, especially since she wasn’t that used to being around other people, with powers, who were around her age. She waves to the two people at the fountain as she passes by them, and then she enters the building to look around. Learning the layout would be fast, for her, though learning new names would take a while because she’d have to talk to everyone. Luckily, she was very social, and she tended to end up talking to people from different Leagues quite often, just to get to know their names. She waves to Phoenix when she saw him stood there, and then she notices someone else walking there, someone who was most likely also new, so she walks over “Hello! Nice to meet you, I’m Fiona” she calls as she approaches, only stopping a short distance away from the person, Christine, hoping to have not startled her too much.

Loren Summers||Female||Moon League||Courtyard||Tagged:
    Loren strode through the courtyard like a model down a catwalk, the air quite literally sparkling around her. It was something new she'd been trying out, tiny magnetic bubbles filled with plasma and dispersed into the air around her. The drain on her reserves was minimal, but it was taking a fair bit of concentration to keep everything in the air at once. Every so often there was a small pop as one of the bubbles she'd been neglecting burst. She hated to admit it, but she'd have to tone it down a bit for the time being. Or maybe she'd just use it for emphasis. At least until she was strong enough to keep it going constantly.

    Flipping her hair over her shoulder (with an accompanying burst of sparks, of course), Loren leaned up against a tree, looking around at the others in the courtyard. There were some familiar faces, but those weren't who she was interested in. It was the new people who piqued her interest. She always liked seeing what the new blood could do.

Oliver Maximoff
17|Male|Homosexual
Son of Scarlet Witch
Location: Courtyard.
Tagged: Open.
Oliver hesitantly walked onto the campus, glancing around the courtyard, as if it was the first time he was seeing it. Well, it sort of was. He didn't really know anyone - isolating himself caused that. He'd been so determined to try not to end up taking after his mother, but it seemed that fate had other plans, because here he was. But, if it was going to help him, help his powers, then he had to give it a chance. Even if it took him all year to get the confidence to use his powers and keep them under control. He took a deep breath, then tried to make himself seem as approachable as he could, in the hopes that it would be a start to boosting his confidence - except it... didn't really do much. Nevertheless, he we not going to let himself give up just yet. He had a sneaky suspicion that he might have to make the first move to have a conversation with someone, so he glanced around the courtyard again, looking to see what sort of people were already there, and who looked at least somewhat friendly enough to talk to without getting lobbed across the grounds.

      Bryn noticed the other girl approach her, but did not acknowledge her presence until Elizabeth spoke to her directly. It was a tactic Bryn had used many times before in the hopes that others would ignore her if she did not acknowledge them. Unfortunately, it didn't work this time. She supposed that it was inevitable she'd be confronted with this kind of interaction whether she liked it or not, so she might as well be curt and let this pass quickly. "Thanks for letting me know." She replied, though unintentionally rather stiffly. She had suffered much worse fates than falling into a fountain - and, additionally, someone would have to catch her off guard in order to do something like that, which was quite unlikely. She gave the surname 'Grayson', though Bryn was not well-versed in the identities of masked heroes and thus it meant little to her. "Bryn Kovacs." The girl introduced herself in turn, though it felt strange not to use her birth name. "I'm also in the Shadow League, but I'm new here." Bryn said rather tersely. Elizabeth had most likely already deduced that, but it was the kind of common filler which felt necessary to say nonetheless. Of course, Bryn didn't really have a strong desire to be here, but perhaps hat was better left unsaid.

      Strolling awkwardly with her arms crossed, Christine had apparently attracted some attention. She lifted her head and looked towards the stranger who had hailed her, and for a moment just eyed the other cautiously. She seemed friendly, so Christie managed a smile in her direction. "Hi!" She greeted brightly, then promptly tried to reel herself back a little bit. Her heart fluttered with that same mixture of anxiety and excitement, and her irises began to glow slightly. "I'm Christine. But you can call me Christie, or Chrissy, if you like." She introduced herself with enthusiasm, though left out her particularly long and oft-mispronounced surname. The subtle glow withdrew from her eyes as she calmed slightly, at least enough to fully split her focus again. She needed to keep an eye on such things, as she didn't want anyone to ask about her abnormal appearance. Of course, she thoroughly believed that she could convince those in charge of her league that she was in enough control of her power already, and thus didn't need to learn to use them or anything like that.

Aittor Lokison | Male | Shadow League | Tags: Open
Watching as several more people arrived, he noticed someone he recognised from Moon League, Loren, standing by a tree, with bubbles and sparkles around her. In another place, also staying outside, there was yet another person he didn’t recognise. Perhaps from a different League. He leans back on the bench, and waves his hand around, making the Sceptre he normally kept for fighing appear. Glancing back at the fountain, he noticed that the two were distracted, talking, so he waves a hand, using his illusion magic to give Bryn a push towards the fountain. She was new, it would have happened eventually, the only way they’d work out it was him who did it is if they recognised his magic. He then looks back around the courtyard, wonder what he should do next.

Fiona Thordottir | Female | Moon League | Tags: Christine
“Nice to meet you!” Fiona repeats “It looked like you had nobody to talk to, so I decided to be the first to introduce myself. I’m in the Moon League as well, actually” it would have to be a chance meeting, finding someone else in Moon League right away. She had also noticed that Christine had left out her last name as well, maybe because it revealed a parentage she didn’t like, maybe because she didn’t normally give her last name in a first introduction. Another thing that Fiona had noticed, though it was subtle, was the eye glow. Perhaps it was just natural for Christine, she wasn’t sure, but it was small things like that that she had learnt to notice, though it probably wasn’t important to bring it up right now. “Sometimes people call me Flora, I’m not sure why, maybe they mishear my name, and other times, people call me Sparky. Probably because of the main power I have” and then Fiona glances at her hands, there were sparks jumping from one area to another. “Unless you’re immune to getting an electric shock, I think it’s best if we don’t shake hands right now”

    How unusual. The girl seemed absolutely determined to ignore her until she addressed the other directly. She also seemed rather wound up about something or other, far too curt to be casual. A spring she though, all coiled up tight, extending only to bounce right back again. Liz searched through memories for Kovacs, certainly wasn't JL, or Avengers. Rorschach, Walter Kovacs, that was who it was. And this must be his daughter, she hadn't been aware the man had any children.

    "Watch your back is the best advice I can give you. Shadow league is undoubtably the fiercest, but also most competitive. Don't look weak, don't look like a target," she said. It was something she wished had been told to her when she joined, though those that sought to do anything to the Raven were soon dealt with, with a swift bat glare (not as good as the original, admittedly) and several bruises that looked very painful. One of them had even been unfortunate enough to twist just the wrong way and dislocate his own risk, that wasn't planned- but enough people thought it was so that she earned the respect and fear of the league every new student wanted. Didn't stop her being pushed in the fountain on her first day though. Speaking of which, Aittor was no doubt lurking over there to do just that. It was traditional, she would make no move to stop him. Plus, she enjoyed the antics of the young mischief maker.

    𝟘 bryn kovacs

      She'd jinxed it. Mere moments after thinking about how someone would have to get close to her to push her into the fountain, a swift shove from an invisible force hit her hard, knocking her off balance and tossing her backward into the fountain. She managed to catch herself on her arms, which sent a particular jolt through her right wrist, which had been broken before. She swore over and over again that it hadn't healed correctly, but that was prison medicine for a young girl who wasn't even intended to be there. She quickly pushed herself back up, despite the slight ache in her wrist, feeling a burst of quite expected anger. Her eyes traced the edges of the courtyard, seeking out anyone who looked like they may have been the offending party. After a very brief tour of all the faces she could see, Bryn snapped back into the moment and swiftly pushed herself back to her feet. Her bad wrist responded with a dull, cold ache, but she gave not the slightest flinch to betray this. With her now-soaked clothes hanging heavily about her frame and her once-bouncy curls waterlogged, she somehow managed to look even smaller and thinner than she usually did. "Guess I've been initiated now." Bryn commented flatly, wringing out the edges of her shirt. "I feel right at home." Though it would undoubtedly be interpreted as sarcastic, that statement wasn't entirely untrue. She'd experienced things of a similar nature her whole life, and many much worse and more painful.

      Which was not to say she had grown any fondness for it, or that she had never attempted to exact some form of revenge on those who had wronged her - but when she had done so in the past, it had always been very small, careful things, something which could never quite be traced back to her despite any suspicions. But now there was a new variable in play: the presence of unnatural powers. It could take a long time to learn the ins and outs of each individual's powers well enough to be sure she could avoid their detection. "I was born watching my back." That was the kind of grim, dramatic statement spoken in such a grim, dramatic way that would've made anyone who knew Rorschach say "You sound just like your father." - yet Bryn herself did not know him well enough to have that realization. Pursing her thin lips, Bryn almost smiled, and then spoke again: "I guess I'll just have to change my methods."

      "Oh, well, we'll see each other around then." Christie replied rather happily, smiling her usual bright smile. She wasn't particularly excited about being in the Moon League, but she was glad to have met someone so welcoming right off the bat. Her first encounter could certainly have been a lot worse. Though, now that she was surrounded by other kids with weird powers and histories, maybe she wouldn't have to worry so much about scaring people away. Having grown up very isolated, she was still learning things that most other people knew already; she didn't like that fact, but it was true. Her eyes widened curiously as she saw the sparks jump from Fiona's hands. While she probably could make herself resistant to electric shock, Christie quickly buried the thought of demonstrating her own powers, even in such a cryptic way. "Wow, that's natural?" She asked (perhaps somewhat oddly). "I mean, you were born with that power, weren't you?" Christie quickly re-phrased herself, highly inquisitive about the nature of her new acquaintance's power. She hadn't known what to expect from the other students at all going into this, so she wanted to gather as much pertinent information as possible right away. Even though she was only taking to one individual right now, she could still pick up on some new things that would apply to other situations. Her relentless curiosity was linked to this heavily analytical way of thinking, which was something she couldn't yet help.

Loren Summers||Female||Moon League||Courtyard||Tagged: Fiona, Christine
    "Most of us were, darling," Loren said, having been shamelessly eavesdropping on her fellow Moon Leaguer's conversation. "Not everything's radioactive spiders and cosmic storms anymore. Most of that unpleasantness got left with the old generation." Turning to the Asgardian, the mutant said "sorry to butt in, Fiona dear, but I simply had to get a look at your darling acquaintance here." Still beaming, Loren gave the new girl a once over. Normal enough, apart from the lack of hair, and with that certain je ne sais quoi that most Moon League members had. The vague feeling of otherness that came from having the powers they had. She wondered what powers the new girl had. Maybe something radiation related. That would be such, fun, they'd be a perfect pair. "Oh, but where are my manners," she continued, extending a black-gloved hand. "Loren Summers, or Hardlight if you prefer. That's the name I'm going to take, once I graduate."

While he didn’t laugh when he watched Bryn fall in the fountain, he did snicker while she was looking around. Perhaps she’d notice him snickering, maybe she’d want to talk or maybe she’d get angry. Once he had quickly regained his composure, he stands up and walks over to the fountain, making the fake bench he had been sat on vanish before giving the two girls a smile and a wave. And then he does a bow, mainly as a joke. “Good day, girls. Hello, Christine. Nice to meet you, girl I don’t know the name of” and then he looks Bryn over “I am Aittor Lokison, god of mischief, member of Shadow League... Someone that people learn not to mess with” and then he offers a smile. He was already prepared for if she tried to fight him, having situated a copy of himself a short distance away, hidden by an illusion. He then glances at the Sceptre that he was holding, and then he makes it vanish, knowing he wouldn’t need it right now.

Fiona Thordottir | Female | Moon League | Tags: Christine, Loren
She was about to reply until she heard another voice, one she recognised. Loren appeared to have come over now, so she waves and then turns back to Christine. “Yeah, my powers are natural” she tells Christine “It seems a given for me to have inherited then. Especially since I’m an Asgardian. I’m one of the few people here who aren’t human” then she glances back to Loren “Don’t worry, Loren, I don’t mind. You two would have spoken anyway, because we’re all in the same League. This is Christine”. Fiona wasn’t too sure about why Loren spoke the way she did, sounding as if she was posh or something, but she had gotten used to it anyway. Perhaps because, while on Asgard, a lot of the Asgardians had different speaking styles as well.
