Whether you're a returning student or brand new, a super-powered being or a common human, you're welcomed h-
ere at Jupiter Academy. It's known to most as a 'school for the gifted' - though the 'gifts' it refers to aren't the ones
most people would expect. While on the outside it looks like any other fancy private school, it was founded for the
purpose of training and educating the next generation of the world's heroes. Of course, it was soon expanded to in-
clude the children of notorious villains as well, in the hope that they could be persuaded to fight for good. There
are also a few students here and there who aren't related to any famous heroes or villains, but still hope to be fut-
ure heroes themselves.

Jupiter Academy is divided into four 'leagues', each crafted for a different type of student. While students from d-
ifferent leagues may share some basic academic classes like Math or English, when it comes to training the four le-
agues have very different methods and subjects. Most often, students choose their own league based on their goals
and skills, but may also opt to have a league selected for them. Whether you join up with the independent Shadow League, spirited Moon League, brilliant Star League, or noble Sun League, you're sure to find your place here.

so, if you hadn't already noticed, this roleplay is centered around an academy
for the children of superheroes and supervillains from marvel/dc, but with the
sorta-twist that it contains four different divisions, each for a different type of
character with different powers/skills think of them like the hogwarts houses.
you may also play teachers/instructors as well as students of the academy. as of
right now the plot is mainly character-driven and no serious events are planned,
though as the roleplay goes on this section will be updated to include any major
plot occurrences.

one. post all forms on the discussion thread two. reservations last for 48 hours
unless otherwise specified. three. I know they're the kids of superheroes and all,
but no mary-sue-type characters with no faults or weaknesses. four. try to post
at least once a week; please inform others if you know you're going to be absent
for a long period of time. five. 5+ sentences per post is preferred. writer's block
is understandable but try to write at least a brief paragraph wherever possible.
six. teacher/staff characters can be canon, but ask before making a character
who is related to one already in the rp. seven. student characters should be
around 14-18 for the most part. teachers and instructors should be 18+.
eight. realistic faceclaims only. nine. new rules may be added at any time.

one. boys are not allowed in the girls' dormitories, and vice versa. two. pets
are allowed only to be present only in a student's dorm room and the courtyard
three. curfew for all students is at 10:00 p.m.; students may not be found

four. serious fights and willful destruction of school property will not be
tolerated.

The first of Jupiter's four leagues is the Shadow League. Matching their frightening name are their lea-
gue colors - black and red - and their symbol, a hooded cobra. Shadow League contains a mixture of
both superpowered and non-superpowered students.

Sometimes known as the 'anti-hero league', Shadow League strongly values independence, cunning,
and adaptability. Though the Shadow League ultimately still tries to lead its students down the path
of justice, its pragmatic approach is a bit more morally flexible than the chosen methods of the oth-
er leagues. Those who join Shadow League aren't afraid to use stealth, manipulation, or even decept-
ion to reach their ultimate goal. Shadow League's training is notoriously harsh and rigorous, and its
students must be strong-willed and willing to do whatever it takes to succeed.

The second of Jupiter's four leagues is the Moon League. Their symbol is a luna moth, and their co-
lors are a matching mint green and brown. Moon League is made up of mostly superpowered stud-
ents.

The Moon League teaches the values of patience, determination, and self-discipline. Moon League
focuses heavily on training students in how to control and expand their powers, and how to use them
to their advantage in any situation. Not all super-powered students are part of Moon League, but the
league does particularly seek out magic users and those with potential unstable powers. It's also whe-
re those who don't fit in with any of the other leagues end up, making it somewhat a 'league of misfits'
- an oddly apt moniker for most spirited and eccentric of the four leagues.

The third of Jupiter's leagues is the Star League. Their colors are a modest blue and silver, and their
symbol is an elephant. Star League contains mostly non-superpowered students.

Not everyone gets to inherit amazing superhuman power from their parents, but some are lucky eno-
gh to be gifted with a scientific mind, a brilliant intellect, or a knack for inventing. Star League val-
ues intelligence, ingenuity, and cooperation, and is the ideal league for those who enjoy putting
their minds to work, or for those who just aren't keen on intensive physical training. Star League
is more devoted to sharking knowledge and innovating than it is supporting a moral agenda, and
probably gives its students the least pressure to become 'heroes'.

The final league in the lineup is the Sun League. Their bright league colors are gold and white, and th-
eir symbol is a lion. Sun League contains a mixture of both superpowered and non-superpowered stu-
dents.

Above all else, Sun League values courage, dignity, and moral integrity. They are the league with
the strictest moral standards and are committed to conquering injustice in all its forms. They're d-
etermined to teach their students not only to be effective crime-fighters, but also model citizens -
which is not to say that they don't undergo rigorous training in non-lethal combat techniques. Sun L-
eague is also the most competitive of the four, determined to prove themselves any chance they get.
However, despite their rigid morality, they're less than admired by the other leagues.

And here she was, staring down yet another school. This one, however, had promised to be different. She would see whether or not that was true; if they really were determined to not kick her out, they'd have to put up with the same exact kinds of things other schools had expelled her for. Of course, she could've just run away again, but she was sort of interested in seeing how things went this time around. She'd been given some new clothes to wear to school; they were average-looking, nothing exceptional, but they felt alien on her. They were slightly too big and had never been worn before, and were the opposite of comfortable. As the frail-bodied girl slunk through the courtyard, she dared to look around slightly. It was pretty early, even for the first day of the school year, and she was mostly alone out here. The thought put her at ease some, and was the only thing that had calmed her any since waking up that day. With a deep sigh, she slunk over to the fountain in the center of the courtyard and took a seat next to it, her thin frame settling easily into the foliage. She was early, after all, and she thought it better to wait for a few minutes and see who else she was up against. Maybe someone else from her - what was it, 'league'? - would show up. She didn't have high hopes for the Shadow League, but it was the least of four evils. She didn't mind degenerates as much as she did nosy people, who were bound to be more prominent in the other three leagues. Sighing slightly, Bryn opened up her bag and rustled around through the scant objects in there, but kept a subtle eye on her surroundings.

The girl bounded up into Jupiter Academy's front courtyard with more than a simple spring in her step - every stride was practically a leap, excitement and anxiety having thoroughly spiked her adrenaline level. She loved the way grass and earth felt under her feet. It was much different than hard tile floors, giving slightly every time her feet landed and springing back up as they left. Just another thing most people were used to, but she had scarcely experienced. The world was full of new and unpredictable happenings, which enthused Christie at the same time it frightened her. She wanted to meet new people and learn new things, and see the world outside of the lab she'd been raised in, but she knew that she was a dangerous individual, and the more emotional she became, the more likely her powers were to go haywire. Apparently, they were going to try to teach her how to 'control' her unearthly abilities, but she was already in as much control of them as she needed to be. Nervous, the girl trotted through the doors and into the entrance hall. It was quite barren in there, so she must've been one of the first ones there. She would've loved to have someone to talk to, but probably would've been too nervous to approach anyone anyway. Instead, she folded her arms across her chest and stared at her boots as she strolled lazily through the main hall. She wasn't going anywhere in particular, just trying to bide her time and hopefully release some of her pent-up energy.
