Penelope awoke with a loud snort, then rolled herself out of bed. She rubbed her eyes and got to her feet, heading to her trunk to pick out new clothes. She laced up her black boots and strolled down to the great hall, glaring at kids as they passed. She, however, gave a smile to Professor Slughorn (who was head of Slytherin house). Believe it or not, some people liked Penelope’s attitude. Two 3rd year Slytherin girls came up to Penelope to walk with her. “Oh Penelope! Your hair is so pretty!” or “Wow Penelope! You’re so lucky that you’re naturally gifted in magic!” They would coo, making her ego bigger. They were either trying to get on her good side so she sould leave them alone, or there was something the matter with them. Someone might say she had a Draco Malfoy type of complex.

He wasn’t allowed to show us hyppogriffs for some reason.” (Lol) Since the school had gotten so popular in the past years, they had multiple teachers for one subject rather than just one. He raised both eyebrows this time and listened to the other professor talk about the full moon. He figured the reason why she was extra uptight this time around was because of tomorrow night, but he wouldn't excuse it.
One had to be professional, and someone her age could have easily mastered that art by now. At least that's what he thought.
"I know zis.." he said while shrugging
"You got vaht you vanted from Mochrid.. vaht could you need from me?"
He really couldn't think of any reason why he could be needed by her besides any minor (or major) healing he would have to help her with after the night came around.
It was because of this he never slept with a full moon came out. One could never be too careful.

"If you say that, then I might have to up the price," Lee-Jae laughed, taking Kolab's words as another compliment like a cat who got the cream. He preened again, and was further pleased to know that it was easy to make playful and teasing conversation with Kolab, which was unlike something he could do with some other students that did not seem to have a sense of humour. The fact that she was a Hufflepuff as well hardly phased him - there was no point in sticking to conversation solely with those in your own house.
A corner of Lee-Jae's mouth twitched, seeing the slight blush from Kolab - but he chose not to comment on it, and instead focused on the topic of conversation. "Yes, I suppose it would. And if you really wanted, then I can show you the way I apply it. Free of charge," he responded, being genuine. He wasn't often the sort to offer his help, unless it was for something he really knew and enjoyed. Besides, it wouldn't hurt to give some pointers.

After Skylar got the Great Hall, and he had breakfast, he went directly to his first class, which happened to be Ancient Runes - one of the subjects that he loved, and also received an 'Outstanding' for in his OWLs the previous year. While it sounded easy, it was not exactly so - translations could have different meanings, or some letters or words might not have a clear translation altogether - especially for lost languages and runes. But it was always interesting to decipher codes and texts. Skylar reached the Ancient Runes classroom, and he took a seat right at the front. He knew it likely made him seem way too eager, but he didn't care about that.

Stepping out of his office - papers in tow - Magnus walked down to his classroom, stopping in surprise, for one of his students - Cordelia - also just arrived. "Hello, Miss Rowand. I'm glad to see that you're just on time," he said, deliberately foregoing the fact that he was also just on time, however, he did have a duty as professor. Still, he rarely reprimanded anyone for being late - unless it was ridiculously so, but five minutes late made no difference to him. He looked a little more surprised when he was told that Cordelia had already finished reading one of his assigned textbooks. "You have?" he asked, "I know it wasn't very big, and there might be a lot that will be difficult to grasp at first, since it's all new material I want to teach this year, but what did you think?" he asked, curiously. He always liked to hear the students' opinions on the assigned reading, to make sure that he assigned books that would actually be relevant and helpful to the students, even if there were some tricky concepts.

The smaller girls' eyes widened ( It was uncertain if it was out of joy or shock ) as Lee-Jae spoke of demonstrating the process of the " oh so complex " eyeliner. " Ah, really? I'd love to learn. " Kolab rolls her shoulders back as she leans into her seat,
feeling rather comfortable within the presence of Lee-Jae. The ravenette figured it was now safe to consider the pair friends, resulting in a small sheepish smile to subconsciously form upon her lips.

The classroom was full of students yet nobody seemed to be paying attention. First days tended to be freebies at times. " Anyhow, we'll find some time for that later, I'd rather not get in trouble during the first class... Maybe during free period? " Kolab flips open her book as she skims through the pages, eventually stopping at a section where several sprawled out notes about the concept and process of becoming an animagus stuck out like a sore thumb. The Hufflepuff smiles as she searches through the mess, " Y'know, transfiguration was never my best class - Not like I'm bad at it or anything - but as someone who didn't know anything about magic until I arrived here, transfiguration was actually really interesting to me. Y'know the whole concept of turning one thing into another was amazing, but it takes immense skill to get it right. I've always admired that type of magic. "
