"Huh?!" Sayuri almost dropped the handful of swift carrots clutched in her hand when a large man with a deep voice spoke to her, startling her. Judging from his speech patterns, this Gerudo man was the owner of this Arabian. In many of the stories she heard from the elders as a child, she was told male Gerudo were rare and that every male born was made king. That meant this man was the King of the Gerudo. ..And he just caught her red handed feeding his horse a bunch of carrots. The Sheikah quickly pulled herself together and shoved the carrots hastily back into her bag. She promptly placed her hands in front of her and kept her arms straight as she returned the bow. It was not only customary but mandatory among Sheikah to bow to anyone with the title of royalty.

"My name is Sayuri Honda, of the Sheikah tribe. I apologize for not paying my respect sooner, Bel." Sayuri wasn't even going to try pronouncing his full name, not because it was bad, but it seemed like quite the mouthful. "Gerudo Town is one of my favourite places, aside from my village. It's a wonderful place to relax and the women are very welcoming as well. I know the clothing shop owner quite well as we often compare traditional designs of both our people and include the other's design in some of our garments." She wasn't sure how popular the designs were in the town, but the owner loved to learn new things regardless. "At this moment, however, I've heard something interesting. Apparently a larger than average shooting star has been seen and is thought to have landed in Hyrule Field. I was going to investigate it once I had concluded my business here."

      Link The Knight
      ───────────────────────────────────────────────────
118 Male Location: Crash Site Tagged: Kyo Mentioned: Khys, Faye & Lephan

Had his presence really been picked up on that easily? It was a bit of a surprise to him, especially since he really hadn't been wanting to engage the group yet even if none of them appeared to be hostile. None of that put him any more at ease. Rising to his full height once again, Link revealed himself to the others, though his gaze locked on to the woman that had addressed him. He took a moment to study her. The silence between them seemed to linger for an awkward amount of time. He needed to say something, but what? Talking seemed so difficult for him at the moment. How long had it been since he had last talked? He wasn't even sure. Such a thing greatly bothered him, but he couldn't let it hinder him. If he wanted them to know he came in peace, he would have to voice such.

"I mean you no harm," he managed to say, though his voice was clearly strained from the simple sentence. It was almost as if talking was an oddity to him. Was that what he had been like before his slumber? That was yet another thing he couldn't recall. It was irritating. Maybe the old man would have been able to answer that. It was a shame he never got to ask. Pushing the thought aside, Link stood tall before the group. Maybe these people would have answers, but what would he even ask? Was now even the time to be asking questions? He'd have to wait. The fallen star before them was the obvious attraction of the night.

"No, I'm okay - " her clear voice rang out to the Zora, though it trailed off before completing her thought. If Faye was doubtful of the presence of people around the crater before, she certainly wasn't now. She could hear voices, and another person had joined her in the crater. While no one seemed particularly assertive about the star, this did not seem to be going anywhere, and Faye decided that they needed to make some kind of agreement about the glowing rock.

A significant amount of time had passed since it had crashed into the field, and the once overwhelming beam of light had receded to a more manageable glow. Faye cleared her voice awkwardly, as she was mentally preparing herself to make an announcement. With a couple staggered steps she climbed out of the crater, Tuuli welcoming her back to level land with a nicker. Directed honey brown eyes scanned the area, taking note of the people she could see - the Zora from before, a Hylian woman, the person in the crater and what seemed to be a Rito to her untrained eye. While she didn't know if that was everyone, she decided now was probably a safe time to speak up. From a position where the other four people could see her, in a punctuated (though slightly awkward) voice she began, "Uh, hi. A wary eye scanned the area again. "I'm sure we all have different ideas about what to do with this thing, but I think we need to decide on something that makes us all happy - before something shows up and decides for us." She had a sensible air about her as she addressed the scarred patch of field, looking around at the other people, a little more confident now. "To be honest, I don't even know what to do with something like this. It kinda feels like it belongs here? I don't know, I guess I think we it should be a shrine or something." A wondering hand made its way to Faye's chin when she turned to look at the star again, collecting her thoughts. Yeah, a shrine sounded about right. It was too big to move, and breaking it would be a waste, in her opinion. "I'm Faye, by the way. I'm a trader in this area, well, all areas." She was having a little difficulty keeping eyes on all four of the people around her, and couldn't help but keep her guard up. Now would have been the time for them to voice their opinions, so she stepped off her theoretical soap box and tried to appear non threatening.

[ zora ] strategist [ location ] starfall site [ tagged ] Faye, Kyhs, Link, Kyo Aiah,

While the Hylian said she was fine, Lephan still made her way carefully down the slope into the crater, fully intending to check her over anyways before the others started popping up out of the grass like wild flowers. One of them it seemed was a holy woman, quick to attribute the enormous starfall to Hylia, Leph was inclined to agree with her. She felt safe here, like the dulling, now ambient light of the star was protecting them from whatever lurked in the field. She didn't even mind the increasing company, being outnumbered never sat right with her but here she felt she was not in danger, that no one in this circle wanted to fight. When the first Hylian, or rather, the first one to make it here, stepped up to address them all, Lephans eyes landed on her.

She was surprised by how she commanded their attention, found herself rather enraptured by this girls bravery, there was no telling who these people were and what they wanted with a prize this big, it took a lot of guts to pipe up and propose they should just leave it. A shark-toothed smile parted her lips as she raised her arm to speak -as if she wasn't taller than practically everyone here- "I am Lephan of the Zora, I agree with Faye, For a hundred years this field has been too dangerous to explore and now this, Maybe the Goddess wants it here, wants us here." Lephan did not claim to be a priestess or a holy woman, she would do questionable things if she thought the situation demanded it. But she could not shake the feeling that there was a change on the wind, first those orange towers, now this.

➳Aiah
➳Starfall Site
➳Medoh Pilot
➳Faye, Kyhs, Link,
Kyo, Lephan

Aiah was not, and never had been, an especially religious Rito. It simply had never been her 'thing', so to speak. Stories, however, were. Story collecting and telling was closer to her heart than she tended to reveal, and this would certainly be one regardless. Besides, who was she to argue with those who had reached this spot before her? By all rights they had greater claim to the fallen star than she, and while it would have been a grand bonus to obtain even a chunk of it to sell to someone who would likely pay a small fortune for it her curiosity had been sated at the very least. That was about as much as she could reasonably ask.

As another spoke up after the Hylian who had originally addressed the gathered observers she found herself with a dilemma. Two had already introduced themselves now, likely to try and dispel any mistrust that was so common among travelers especially these days, so should she do the same. Not that she had much to add to what the other two had said. While she got no such 'feeling' from the star, whether because she had no strange sensitivity or because she was further away Aiah couldn't say, she could acknowledge that an almost.... peaceful patch in an otherwise dangerous location was an oddity at the very least.

She exhaled softly. "I am the Rito Aiah," she raised her voice after Lephan, sorely hoping she wouldn't regret this in a few moments, "and while I feel no strong inclination in the way they do, I will support Faye and Lephan if that is what they wish for it."

\\\\\\Wow, fish boy was tired! Splashing some water on his scales, he continued to walk through the fields, following the light of star wow did he bring gold, frankincense or myrrh with him? on the horizon. He wasn’t exactly sure what he would find once he got there, but he was excited. Also, there was no doubt in his mind that, by this point, monsters and other less desirable individuals were out prowling towards it as well. His hands itched to hold the Lightscale trident in his hands, but he knew that he should not use it wantonly, lest it should break.
\\\\\\Tumbling along, Etis did his best to stay on a steady pace. If he could at least continue to walk until the Moon was starting to lower in the sky, he would count that as good enough and rest in some pond in order to get his strength back. Silently, he wondered how other Zora's did it, although he was fairly certain that their scales could probably adapt more the longer they were out of the water, but because he had never been allowed to leave Zora's domain often, he had very soft scales. Poor baby. Though, since he often snuck out and fought back against the lizalfos that always tried preying upon travels on the mountain rides, he was not completely helpless.

\\\\\\As everyone slowly introduced themselves, the brunette looked around the fall sight, and her eyes narrowed, slowly trying to predetermine everyone's intentions. There were quite a few females of various races, and she hummed a note to herself, seeing the one Hylian male. There was a sheikah, a zora, and a rito. All they really seemed to be missing was a goron, but that was beside the point. They clearly needed some various form of trust between the group, otherwise everyone would be very wary of each other. Not that they weren't already. Khys, despite what appeared to be a disability, was no slouch when it came to defending herself. Not to mention Alexei was nearby and would hear her should she call for him, so she was not short of a quick escape. She wasn't particularly fond of sharing her name with strangers, especially when she was only really looking for one person, but she supposed it wouldn't hurt to give them something to go off of. Besides, they'd only get more suspicious if she was the only one to withdraw any form of personal information.
\\\\\\Sighing, she rolled her shoulders slightly and turned to the others, nodding firmly as she reached up to adjust the red sash that was tied around her head, though it was kind of hard to see people in the darkness. The moon offered some light, and so did the large starfall, but it was not as lit an area as she would have liked. "My name is Khys." There really wasn't much to say--mainly because it wasn't like Khys remembered anything herself. "I am in agreement. Lady Hylia used this starfall to gather us here, but the reason for doing so has yet to appear." She pursed her lips together, her eyes narrowing slightly as she thought silently, turning back to the star. Since she had woken up and slowly recovered in Gerudo Town, she had been nothing but dragged around by the will of the Goddess. Some might have held resentment for being pulled around so harshly, but Khys was indifferent. It could have been her lack of memories, or it could have been her usual apathy, but she really wasn't too concerned. At least in living her life at the will of the Goddess, she felt like she had a purpose... like losing her leg and gaining a scar across her face had been some kind of predetermined destiny. Like it wasn't her fault--it wasn't something she could control or have changed/done differently. Thinking this way was a little selfish of her.

Kyo 004

Postby M2627 » Tue May 08, 2018 10:38 am

~ Kyo Nagano
~ Role; spy
~ Crash site

~ Tags; Khys, Link, everyone else, sort of.

As everyone introduced themselves, Kyo couldn't help but notice one name stood out to her. "Khys..." Why did she feel like she had heard that name somewhere before..? "Weren't you sealed away in the-" She almost started out loud. Lady Impa had requested, no matter how unlikely it seemed, that if she ever met or found two people called Khys and Link, she was to direct them to her village. Lady Impa had told her everything that happened a century ago about them. But before she could even start asking Khys to accompany her to Kakariko, the person who was hiding revealed themselves. Though she had never actually met the Hero, she had heard so many stories about him from the elders that she'd recognize him anywhere. She wasn't going to let the shock show, but now wasn't the time, as she'd have to figure out what was going on with the star first. Though she really wanted to tackle the other situation with Link and Khys. "We should offer this to Her Grace. With the appearance of this star, so too does a glimmer of hope return to Hyrule." Kyo glanced at Link out of the corner of her eye as she said this.

"You're... Master Link, yes?" The young man(or maybe not so young as he was technically over a century old now) had hair the colour of straw, and blue eyes. But what really caught her attention was the object hanging from the belt around his waist. Lady Impa had told her all about it, and how it was sealed away with the Hero. This man had to be him. Turning her attention to both Link and Khys, she "Master Link and Lady Khys... Once this situation has been resolved, I would ask that you accompany me to my village. There is someone there who has been waiting for you both for a long time. I believe she can explain what happened to you both better than I."

(I know Siren can't post, and I would like to wait, but I don't want to see things slow down too much either if that's alright.)

xxxxDambelolm listened intently to her speak, ocassionally smiling or nodding whenever she mentioned some of his people. He absolutely loved them. He folded his hands in front of himself and offered her a warm smile, one fit for a king. "It is an honor to meet the Sheikah whom the women of my tribe seem to speak so fondly of. We get many visitors yes but, they do seem to enjoy your company." He unfolded his hands to brush against the mare's mane giving it a good scratch. "Perhaps, when you are visiting again, I will give you a proper tour around the village." He looked to her and smile lines formed around the edge of his lips. "It would be an honor and a privelage to escort you around the town." As for the star, he wasn't terribly interested but... it could bring quite the profit to his village.

The village was falling upon hard times, and it seemed their problems only grew by the day. His emerald eyes trained on woman before him before he eased up, unaware he was tense. "If you might allow me, I would like to accompany you on your errands. You know the land better than I and, I have been taught by my mothers how to make a wonderful meal." He chuckled, remembering the fondness in their eyes when they found he was an amazing cook. "And please, there is no need to bow to me again. You are a treasure to my people. We are as equals." He bowed his head politely, some of the bright vermilion hair falling onto his shoulders. The emerald and gold tattoo shimmered under the light of one of the lamps nearby. It was intricate and somehow still very simplistic. The meaning is unknown, at least for now.

      Link The Knight
      ───────────────────────────────────────────────────
118 Male Location: Crash Site Tagged: Kyo, Khys, Faye & Lephan

Link was taken by surprise when the girl seemed to know of him. How was that even possible? A look of confusion was quick to cross his face as he stared at Kyo. Was it possible that she knew of his past? Maybe so. His thoughts were cut short as he remembered that he hadn't voiced his own opinion on what should be done with the star before them. He wasn't even sure if they were concerned with what he thought to do with it. Nevertheless he decided to speak up. "I believe we should leave it here as an offering," he said. His voice was still soft, but he tried to project as loud as he could for all of them to hear. After a moment, his attention turned by to the woman that had addressed him before. Even though she had already spoken his name, he was sure it was still necessary that he introduced himself. "My name would be Link, just as you said. I do not know if the title Master suits me though."

He still couldn't recall anything from what his life had been like before his slumber. It could be possible that he indeed was a master like this girl was claiming. Going with her wouldn't hurt, especially if he could regain some of his memories that way. There really was no reason for him to say no, but could he truly trust someone he had just come across. Studying her, he couldn't find a reason not to. She didn't appear dangerous and from the way she spoke to him, she seemed to think highly of him. Thinking over her words, he came to wonder just how long he had been sleeping. How long had this person been waiting for him exactly? He felt that he should ask, but he held back his questions. They could wait until after the current situation was dealt with.

Kyo 005 | Sayuri 003

Postby M2627 » Sat May 12, 2018 9:15 am

Kyo noted that he seemed taken aback when she recognized him. She understood that, as she had never met before, but why did he not recognize the title the Sheikah gave him? That century long slumber couldn't have... "Oh..." Purah had said he might lose his memory in the Shrine of Resurrection, but she didn't think any technology had that power until now. Lady Impa and the elders would be disheartened to learn of this. They sounded so fond of him when they would share their stories of the Hero of Hyrule with Kyo, Paya and the other young members of the tribe. Even she was a little upset; hearing all those accounts of the Hero growing up, she felt like she almost knew the Hero of a century ago personally. But she doubted there was anything that could be done to get any memories back, so there was no point in despairing over it. Turning her attention back to the matter at hand, everyone seemed to be in agreement for the most part, and the decision seemed to be to leave it as a tribute to Her Grace. Now that Kyo had found not only Lady Khys but Master Link as well, she was eager to escort them to her village. But, as others had pointed out, they believed they were all gathered her for a reason, and that it was the will of the Goddess. What did Her Grace expect them to do? Part of her was curious and wanted to see how the situation would be resolved. It was the Goddess' will, so what should they do?

"If I may make a suggestion, perhaps there is wisdom in seeking the counsel of an elder."
Kyo wasn't sure what would come out of it, but it might be worth asking Lady Impa. Everyone else seemed at a loss concerning what to do now that they were gathered here. "Lady Impa was alive during the Calamity, and still is. Perhaps she can provide insight on this matter." As she mentioned Lady Impa, Kyo glanced at Link and Khys again, wondering if any recognition would appear in their eyes upon hearing Lady Impa's name. Lady Impa spoke of them so often, they'd have to remember her. Unless the shrine really did wipe them of all their memories. "Master Link, your thoughts?"

"They speak of me?" Sayuri was honestly surprised and a little intrigued. She never thought she had made that much of an impact on them that they'd speak of her to their king. Sure, she had risked crossing Naboris to travel to the town and try help out wherever she could, but it didn't seem like anything worth mentioning. "I think I might take you up on that one day. I'd like to see more of the palace. Especially the hall of the palace. Just how did the creators learn to manipulate water like that without technology like ours?" That had been something that had bothered for ages now. She knew Sheikah tech could use pressure to manipulate water, but how did the Gerudo do it..?

"I would be happy to take you there. It would also be a nice change of pace from travelling alone all the time." Or with someone who made the entire trip miserable for her, she added in her mind. But moving on, she found the way he used the word "mothers" instead of the singular term interesting. Did all the women in the tribe raise Gerudo males together? "You would be the new best friend of a little Sheikah girl back in Kakariko. She'd be shamelessly begging you for Gerudo meals to add to her collection of recipes." Sayuri could picture it already. Koko would be tugging at his hair to get his attention because it would be the only thing she could reach, and then she'd look up at him with big brown eyes. "Very well. I won't do it again." It felt wrong not to bow, even when he said there was no need. But she would respect that request, so she'd have to stop it. "Are you already prepared to go, or do you need time? I do not mind waiting."
