↳ Calamaty Gannon reigns over Hyrule once again - the 10,000 year old prophecy realized. The knight Link has awoken, and made his presence known throughout the land. He was tasked with freeing the divine beasts of old, defeating Gannon, and saving the Princess Zelda... A daunting task for a single hero, regardless of his skill. This time around, the elders of Hyrule have insisted that an entire band of heroes take on the responsibility of saving the regions. In addition to the knight Link, there would be a new set of four Champions, and a collection of additional support, to put this terror to and end at last. The Champions do not have to be from the regions ruling family, simply courageous individuals that have proven themselves to be strong warriors and worthy of piloting the beasts. Support members of the band have come from all regions, and specialize in some kind of skill to aid in the thwarting of Calamity Gannon. Monsters prowl the land and darkness consumes the sky, but people all over have hope in Hyrule's Saviors.

    The sun had blazed with a lustrous golden light all through the afternoon, pouring over Hyrule. It was warm, and could have almost tricked someone into feeling peaceful. But even as the sun glowed and tall grass rustled in the dusty breeze, Calamity Gannon's demonic aura enveloped the Hyrule Castle - spreading its evil throughout the realm, infecting it. The honey colored sun began to change to a soft orange hue, beginning its decent to the went and below the horizon. Even with the blight that had befallen the land, the sunsets were still beautiful. Amidst all the agony, the sky still changed to its pastel mosaic of purples, pinks, and oranges. Creatures still emerged from their dens and napped in the light, horses roamed the fields, there was innocence still on these plains. Where monsters prowl people once lived, and they may live there again. But for the time being...there is no hope, only death. The sun finally fell behind the mountains and with it went the light, leaving only darkness with the faint glow of the moon. The celestial body in the sky had a faint yellow glean, merely a crescent at the highest point in the sky. Faye however, was awake. Night brought all kinds of wonders, it was a waste to not to explore after the sun went down. Tuuli's large hooves pressed into the soft grass, Faye's cloak draped over her sides, saddle bags thumping with each step. At night, she could be stealthy, it was easier to avoid all those pesky monsters that seemed to camp out around her favorite places to forage. They weren't all bad, though - she used the weaker monster's parts to make cheap elixirs. "What should we look for tonight?" She asked the content horse, who pushed air from her nose as a response, while she didn't really understand the Hylain - she did entertain her. A bundle of hearty radishes growing in the brush caught her attention, score. Everyone loved a nice hearty meal, and these were hard to come by. Faye was convinced this had been a successful night, but it was nothing compared to what was to come. As she plucked the radishes from the stalk a glittering stream in the sky caught her eye, "What the-" She mumbled under her breath, her neck training upward. "No way - thats the biggest one I've ever seen!" The fair hylain blurted before leaping onto her mount and racing in the direction of the falling star. "Can you imagine the rupee's for one that big?" She muttered mostly to herself, her fingers gripping the reigns more tightly, hooves ripping grass out of the ground as Tuuli tore over Hyrule Field. Faye could see the glowing before her, emanating from below the ground. Fallen stars usually simply rested wherever they fell, but this one had created an entire crater...amazing. A yank on Tuuli's reigns convinced her to slow down, a neigh erupting from her snout. The pair approached the burning hole in the ground slowly, and cautiously - there were crazy things in these fields. The sight was overwhelming when they finally came upon the fallen star, if it could be called that. It was enormous, the size of 100 fragments all combined into one massive, glowing boulder of a star. Like a glistening meteor. It was mesmerizing, to the point that Faye almost forgot how much it was worth, its beauty like a religious experience. This thing must have been heaven sent, forged by the gods, and yet here it lay - in a 50 foot crater, a golden beacon, like that of the sun, reaching into the sky.

Kyo Nagano ~ 001

Postby M2627 » Tue May 01, 2018 2:36 pm

~ Kyo Nagano
~ Role; spy
~ Hyrule Field, star

~ Contemplative

Kyo was quiet as she studied the state of the castle. She would never have guessed this was the center of the kingdom of Hyrule had she not listened to the stories of the Sheikah elders who served the Royal Family. One hundred years ago, the Calamity reawakened and took control of all four Divine Beasts, as well as the Guardians. With all of that weaponry at the beast's disposal, the Kingdom of Hyrule had been completely and utterly destroyed faster than anyone could have expected. Perhaps the Hylians were right to shun the Sheikah and seal their technology 10,000 years ago. It stung. The technology her people had made to help people, and it was turned against them and used to destroy the thing that all Sheikah vowed to protect. It was the worst kind of insult to her people. As far as she was concerned, he just instigated a war, and she was going to see the Calamity pay for this. And there was that other reason for wanting to incinerate him into a pile of ash, but she didn't want to dwell on it. Dwelling on that wasn't going to do anything. Just as she was about to head back to Kakariko, a large light appeared in the sky, a brilliant trail blazing behind it. It was beautiful, but short lived as the object landed, the impact shaking the earth. There was no telling what it was. Since there was a chance that it was dangerous, Kyo flipped the hood of her sweater back over her hair and secured it before she decided to hastily make her way to the impact site to ascertain the nature of the object.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When Kyo carefully made her over while crouching through the long grass, she could make out a massive golden object with an ethereal glow in a large crater. Her mouth almost hit the dirt behind her mask. She had heard countless tales about them, and even saw one once, but never had she seen a star fragment this big. It was massive. What prompted the creation and descent of such a treasure? Why would the Goddesses send this gem to this decaying world? Perhaps it was a omen of sorts? When Kyo spotted another person nearby the crater, along with a horse, she instinctively crouched further down immediately before being spotted. But no reaction seemed to come. The Hylian, she had deduced, was far too fascinated with the star fragment. Kyo didn't blame her. She was equally fascinated and could barely take her eyes off it. It was such a lovely sight. She'd have to thank the Goddesses for allowing her to witness something so lovely and make them an offering of her specialty rice balls with seafood later. But she had more pressing concerns, like getting a closer look at the star fragment. How was she going to do that with the girl right there? At this rate, morning was going to come and the star would vanish before she could get a proper look at it.
Sand pelted the large man, bouncing off of him as if it was nothing. He had been conditioned to the harsh nature of the desert, Mother Nature holding no sway here. The grains whipped this way and that, nearly sandpapering his skin as he stood in the ever building sand. "Any minute..." He narrowed his eyes as the storm came to an abrupt stop. A smirk crossed his face, pulling the scarf down to investigate the desert. It was ever changing as his life was, seemingly moving in all directions; calm one minute, raging winds another.
He raised his hand to whistle just loud enough for his mount, Aloan, to hear his call. The beautiful Arabian horse with a burnt orange coat and black stockings trotted up to him, nuzzling his bearded face. He let out a chuckle and brought his hands up to clasp the horses head, giving the mare a good rub down on her neck and her mane. She whinnied in glee and nuzzled his bare and dark skinned chest, determined to get a treat from him. Obliging, Dambelolm pulled from his satchel an apple, holding it out to his mount. When she leaned in, he pulled away. "Not so easily." Aloan gave him a dastardly stare, moving her head to bite the apple, failing yet again. She gave a cry of frustration, Dambelolm chuckling a little louder. The two went in circles until he began running through the weighted sand. His shoes were built light enough to ensure he could easily run on it without burning his feet as the mare chased after him.
Aloan charged after him, hellbound to get her favorite treat from him. The two played for many hours, enjoying one another's company before the night fell.
The desert slowly began to reach freezing temperatures; it didn't seem to bother the large man as much as it did his noble steed. From his satchel he conjured a folded blanket, laying it on top of the horse to ensure that she was warm enough. For extra measure she cuddled up to him, resting her head on his lap. A small smile crept on his face as he leaned back and looked up at the stars, wondering if his mother was looking back. A pang of emptiness hit him as he realized just how alone he was.
The sky erupted in light, causing him to flinch a little as he stared at it, nearly blinding him. The star was enormous, and probably worth quite a lot... It's resources were much needed and even highly valued. He Bel clicked his tongue to awaken the horse, Aloan snapping to attention at the sudden noise. "Come my steed, we should investigate." He stood up and with slight begrudge, Aloan stood as well. Bel climbed onto the back of the beautiful horse, and the two stormed through the desert, onward towards their destination.
➳Aiah
➳Rito Village
➳Medoh Pilot
➳No Tags
She be lying if she claimed she weren't irritated. Vah Medoh had never been a a threat to the village before, everything had been fine for most of her life in fact. Last time she'd been in the village even- though that had been a couple years ago. Not that she had all that much of an attachment to this place anymore, but she still couldn't really understand it. Maybe Talya may have as stuck in the past as she always seemed to be, but Aiah hadn't seen her for a while- she'd been perfectly safe with that Zora so they'd gone their separate ways finally. She could be anywhere at this point. Still...
Sitting here above the village in the now near-darkness of night as the construct circled above, it was unnerving to say the least. It reminded her of some of Devyn's more somber stories, those of the war a hundred years ago. The ones that had been both her most and least favorite of his stories. She let her spear rest against her shoulder as a leg hung over the edge of the small ledge she was sitting on and softly sang a few bars. If she were smart she'd be resting her leg, but she'd never been one for just holding still for too long, and the damage wasn't all that bad either. She'd head back down to the inn in a little bit, once she was done feeling the breeze and ruminating on how, exactly, her life had reached this point. Served her right for returning to Rito Village at all, let alone trying to help.
Her eyes had moved down to the village below just in time to be confused by a sudden flare of light above her. Immediately her head snapped up to the air once more just in time to catch a streak of light heading towards Hyrule Field. A fallen star? Those were... rare. And that one was, by far, the brightest Aiah had ever seen in her travels. She rose to her feet slowly, talons gripping the ledge as she leaned slightly on her spear to support her injured leg. "Ooh..." The flash of it landing almost blinded her even from this distance, and she could still see its glow clearly. She was torn between investigating and the fact that it was impossible that others weren't already on the way to it. Talya had rubbed off on her more than she'd thought if she were this intrigued by the clearly unusual fallen star.
Her eyes flickered up to Medoh once more. Well. She had nothing to lose, did she? If there were too many people already investigating she could just turn around and head back. She made a thoughtful noise as she cast her gaze around to pinpoint one of the larger updrafts around the village. She had to be careful, get enough air to make good progress but not so much that it took her within Medoh's apparent range of aggression. Easier said than done, but she returned her spear to its place hanging near her quiver and took to the air regardless. She coasted to the updraft she'd chosen, and broke from it maybe a second later than she'd planned but she wasn't attacked and that was good enough. She was on her way.
    \\\\\\After seeing the bright light in the sky, and upon hearing the impact it had made, Etis had begged King Dorephan to let him leave the Zora's Domain in search of it. He begged and pleaded, begged and pleaded, begged and pleaded until finally...! He was told to go to his room. So that was where he currently sat, moping dejectedly in the water as he let out annoyed huffs and his bright blue eyes were narrowed in annoyance. It sucked being the baby of the family! Sidon got to go and do whatever he wanted, but Etis was forced to stay behind and never get to do anything fun. Just let him be reckless for once, geez dad. Hearing the sound of footsteps softly splash in the water that always flowed through every bit of the kingdom of the Zora's, Etis knew who it was. Pouting, he turned around so he wouldn't have to look at Sidon as he walked into the room with that oh-so-familiar look of pity.
    \\\\\\"Etis..." he called to him, but the light blue zora hugged his knees in a childish manner and ignored him. "Oh, don't be like that! Look what I have for you."
    \\\\\\Of course, the idea of a present was intriguing. Etis fought against his curiosity, but in the end he was no match for his own willpower, and he spun around only to gasp at the beautifully crafted trident that Sidon held within his clawed hands. Jumping into a standing position, Etis felt like he had recognized the weapon from somewhere, but it wasn't until he reached out to take it from his older brother that he recognized what it was -- or more like, who it used to belong to. "B-But isn't... wasn't this-?"
    \\\\\\"Mipha's weapon of choice, a relic of our people, the Lightscale Trident? Yes, it is." Not only did Sidon cut him off, but he also confirmed his thoughts.
    \\\\\\"Brother... not only can I not accept this gift, I am not sure it is yours to give, or what I would even do with said weapon?" To say that he was confused was an accurate statement. After all, the trident of his late sibling was normally locked up along with the other Zora relics and treasures. Sidon however, pushed the weapon forward and Etis took it without a word. It's weight and surprisingly easy movability made for easy mobility in combat, and he took a few experimental swings as Sidon looked on with a smile.
    \\\\\\"Mipha would have wanted you to have it," Sidon said softly as he watched his younger brother. "Now, go. I'll cover for you -- father will understand that he can't coddle you forever. Besides, maybe you can even find a Hylian to come help with our little... weather problem." Etis looked up to his older brother, the light blue zora's mouth falling open in shock. As Sidon nodded, a shark-toothed grin played upon his lips, before he quickly strapped the trident to his back, going to the nearest exit and hollering a "thank you" behind him as he dove into the water below. With a few powerful kicks, he was off, racing up the river faster than he had ever swam before, and his heart was filled with the excitement of an adventure as he left the rainy Zora's Domain.
{feeling;; cautious, curious} .:|:. {status;; 100% health} .:|:. {location;; castle town ruins/hyrule field} .:|:. {tagged;; natm/open}
    \\\\\\Khys's breathing was heavy as she felt the broken bricks prick into her back,
    even through the thick fabric that made up her dark maroon coat. The heavy clank of metal sounded just behind her and she closed her eyes tightly, some irrationally childish part of her brain hoping that maybe if she couldn't see it, it couldn't see her. The clanking slowly faded and she cracked open one eye slowly, and then the other, her purple orbs cast in the dark light that somehow managed to seep through the thick smog of castle town. So, the 1 million rupee question... what was someone so concerned with being caught by evil forces doing in the obviously overrun castle town? Well, the simple answer was that she was was foraging the broken-down parts of guardians to sell to some scientist over in Akkala. Still, this place was a bad idea, and although the money was good, it was almost not worth it for the amount of trouble she put herself in. Khys was a strong and seasoned warrior - the scars that covered her body were enough of a voice for that - but the guardians were terribly unfair, and it took a lot of time and effort to destroy a big one. Plus, attracting one always brought more, and there was no way she could fight off more than one at a time, so most of the time she avoided them all together.
    \\\\\\Barely sneaking out into the forest, Khys began to run when she heard the familiar high pitched beep of a targeting system. Swearing under her breath, she nearly tripped as her cape fluttered behind her, and she brought a hand up to her mouth to whistle for Alexei. The familiar whinny sent a bit of relief through her being, and she felt herself beginning to run out of stamina as she barely ducked behind a tree to dodge an explosion. Catching her breath, she ran to her horse, jumping on mid-canter, before snapping the reins and pressing her heels into the stallions sides. Once they were a good distance into Hyrule Field, she sighed in relief, allowing her poor stead to slow down and catch his breath. "Good boy... thank you," she smiled softly, patting the horse's mane. A bit of light caught her attention, and she blinked in surprise, seeing a star bit fall from the sky and crash with a larger thud than usual somewhere in the field ahead of them. "Well... more profit for us, Al..." she murmured, pushing him into a trot in the direction of the light.
