Landon Reynolds ➳ Male ➳ Nineteen ➳ Pansexual ➳ Hybrid ➳ Tags: Kaede Akamatsu, Clover

"Right." Landon agreed with Kaede, shifting his gaze to look at her. He felt his eyes widen slightly when she revealed that something similar to this had happened to her before, and despite wanting to know more, he decided it was probably best not to ask. After all, the way she described it made it sound like that situation was worse than this one, and if that was the case she most definitely didn't have any good memories from that time. His eyes then shifted back towards the cliffs when she mentioned them, his mind again wandering back to the child. What if the little girl was actually there waiting for them? Would they get any answers out of her? Or would she just end up running off like in their dream? Surely this place had to have some sort of locals? Maybe they'd be able to help them somehow? At the mention of them getting back to their homes he couldn't help but chuckle, and looking back towards Kaede, he smiled. "I really wouldn't mind staying here if it meant my family and friends could get here, but considering we don't even know where 'here' is, I doubt they'd be able to find me." He said, a frown tugging his lips downward. His eyes shifted back towards Clover, listening intently as he explained his own situation. None of what he said really surprised him, though he was a bit curious what he meant by 'a hexed spell book to yell at'. Noticing he now seemed nervous and that his eyes had again drifted towards him, Landon lifted his shoulders in a nonchalant shrug. "One of my best friends is a witch, so none of what you said really surprises me." He admitted, a chuckle escaping his lips as he pictured the red-headed girl in his mind. She'd probably find this whole situation to be some sort of fun adventure, and despite the fact that he wished a familiar face had come with him, he couldn't help but be a bit glad that his overly enthusiastic friend had been left at home.

~ Rei ~ Kitsune ~ 403 years old
Location: The beach ~ Tags: Dug, Nowi, open ~

“You didn’t have a dream about a little girl and this place, did you?” It was a weird question to ask, but this girl seemed to be the same situation as are Rei herself was. It was worth asking, in her mind. While she was asking questions, she did want to ask what species the girl was, but since the kitsune's staring had bothered the girl, she wasn't going to just yet. "You sense it too?" Interesting... Usually Rei would get more stares than normal if she spoke about stuff like that, if people weren't staring at her already. "I want to try find it... But I think it's best to see if there are any residents here that know something." Rei studied the surroundings in hopes of spotting humans or signs of a human settlement, almost forgetting everything around her until the girl spoke again to introduce herself. Her ears and tails twitched up in surprise. "Apologies. My name is Rei." Glancing at Dug out of the corner of her eye, she decided to see how Nowi would react to a talking dog. "This little guy has a collar that lets him talk, so I'll leave it to him."

▪Mechanica - Female, 15 - Location: Beach/forest's edge - Tagged: Genji, Peter, Tom, Tord▪
Mechanica, continuing to listen in on the exchange between the cyborg and the other, unseen individual, noticed the other two men she had seen earlier approaching the scene. "Oh! H-hello," she began to greet them, sounding like she had been slightly caught-off guard after being so focused on the conversation at hand. Her expression was quick to once again turn somewhat wary, however, upon hearing Tord's words.

Then, when Tom seemed to point something out-- his attention focused on one of the surrounding trees-- Mechanica glanced in that direction, as well, her head tilting slightly to one side. Just as she had turned to look, she was suddenly met with the sight of a third individual-- who, upon hearing his voice, she realized was undoubtedly the same person who had been speaking earlier. "Wah...!" she exclaimed briefly out of surprise, which, as she listened to the young man, gradually turned into curiosity as he lifted his wrist, revealing a device that resembled a cuff poking out from the sleeve of his hoodie. Huh...! Web-shooters? she commented to herself, curiosity sparking in her gaze as she attempted to get a look at the device from where she stood. And whoa, he invented them, too! I wonder what it took... she continued internally with intrigue, now partially wishing she could ask him about it right then.

However, before Mechanica had a chance to stay on this topic, her thoughts were abruptly interrupted when she saw the dispute erupting between Tord and Tom. "Hey, hey...! What're you doing??" she gasped, wincing when Tom was suddenly pushed against a tree. When Tord then let him go a moment later, she continued to watch the two cautiously, her eyes slightly wide with alarm.

The teen was stomping through the sand, but it was a much difficult task wearing his slippers so he opt to remove them and walk on the warm sand barefoot since it was a faster way to look around. When Bruce heard the voice, he paused and slowly turned around, looking up at the...the thing in surprise as that was something he has never seen before. As he tried to think of a sentence to say, he desperately wished he had a weapon on him or anything in case the thing decided to attack or something.

After a moment he then shook his head and relaxed a little because now he knew he was still dreaming. "Why can't I just wake up? Am I trapped in a dream world? In a coma? Why and how did I conjure you up too?"

The dog had watched how Rei reacted and jumped up and started to wag his tail rapidly as the other girl came up. As he watched their interaction he listened and returned back to his sitting position. When Rei turned towards him and explained that he could talk, the golden retriever just sat there panting with his tongue rolled out, staring up at the two females with his tail wagging again back in the sand.

Noticing the boy’s surprise at the sudden appearance of the wandering guru, Zenyatta allowed himself to chuckle softly, visibly tickled by the reaction he received even if he could not show emotion in his face. “I can assure you, this is not a dream. I am very much a reality.” Despite the robotic tone to his voice, the omnic spoke warmly, linking his hands together and placing them in his lap as he hovered above the ground, looking at the boy he had recently found who was also convinced that they were either dreaming or in a coma.

“I never enjoy being the bearer of bad news, but I am afraid that you are neither sleeping nor in a coma. We are both...in the same boat, if you will.” Zenyatta explained, shaking his head and observing the scenery that was surrounding the two of them, sighing softly. “This is neither my home nor yours so it is possible that we are both trapped here.”

It was odd to get such a reaction. He knew back home that there were some that didn't like heroes or simply didn't think that they were doing the right thing, but this was something entirely different. She seemed to think of the word in a manner that he had never understood it to be used it. Cocking his head slightly, Izuku tried to take it all in, but he knew he needed to explain himself assure her that the way she saw it was nothing like what he was training to become. He was not sacrificing lives of others, but rather putting his own on the line to try and save as many as he could. That was what a hero was to him. Sure he had a long way to go until he was one, but he needed to assure her that he was fighting to protect others.

"Well, yeah. A hero is someone who protects people. The only one they're willing to sacrifice is themselves in order to make sure average citizens are left unharmed. That is what I am striving to be. I want to protect those back home from whatever evil lurks there and make sure they know everything is alright," he rambled with a faint smile returning to his face. Whenever he got to talk about such he couldn't help but begin to feel the slightest bit giddy. It excited him. Being a hero had been his life long dream so being able to say he was in training to become one was still an amazing feeling. "I've dreamed of being a hero ever since I was a little kid. You see in my home about eighty percent of our population has some kind of quirk that grants them some unique power. So trying to become a hero is just about every kid's dream." For a moment he almost found himself about to ramble on about how he had previously been quirkless, but he stopped himself knowing that he couldn't let his secret slip out that easily.

He should have expected that she would not understand what he meant and it was hard for him to judge what she might be thinking from the look on her face. It only seemed to mirror her confusion. Perhaps she wasn't afraid of him like everyone else had been, though the way she had reacted to his flames hadn't gone unnoticed. She seemed uneasy when seeing them. Maybe they had some meaning from her own home that wasn't all too great. Rin completely understood that it could be unsettling. It was something that he had come to accept even though it still annoyed him when people saw him in a bad light for his flames. He knew that he wasn't a bad guy. He was trying his best to be able to protect people and to be seen in a poor light always caused him to struggle. As much as he hated to admit it, he was even scared of himself so it was no wonder others might fear him too. Twitching his now long ears, the half demon gave a soft sigh as he lowered the blade to his side.

"You see, I am half demon and half human. If it weren't for this sword I wouldn't be able to even appear as human as I am and my father did that so I might live a normal childhood," he tried to explain though he wasn't sure if he was really doing that great of a job of doing so. He really never was great at such a thing. "So I guess what I'm trying to say is this when my sword is out, this is what I truly am supposed to be." Lifting the sword back up, Rin sheathed it once again causing the flames to seemingly vanish and his appearance to return to normal. In silence, he it back into the carrier figuring it was best to keep it there unless something really went wrong. He could tell there was distrust in his other form. It definitely wasn't a foreign feeling to him.

"Huh, I'm not sure if it was a little girl, but there was a kid in my dream, yeah," the dragonkin replied as she tapped her chin in thought as she tried to recall the dream. The child's appearance was vague to her and she really couldn't remember if it had been a boy or a girl. Maybe it was neither. It didn't matter much anyways. The point was that they must have had the same kind of dream. Such a thing was definitely odd and made her wonder how such a thing was possible. Could this be the work of some kind of magic? In a way all of this was kind of like the outrealms. The Shepherds had visited them a few times, but that had only been to places actually connecting with their own world. This place seemed nothing like any of the places they had explored. Snapping out of her thoughts, she heard the girl say something about wanting to find residents and Nowi gave a small nod of her head. That probably was the best course of action. It was only logical to want to try and learn about this place before trying to help it if that was even the other's goal. Glancing toward Dug as Rei mentioned that his collar could allow him to talk, she gave a cock of her head and quirked a brow. From the looks of it he didn't seem like he was going to be talking any time soon. "He seems kind of quiet to me. You sure he can actually talk?"

"Right, so we'll go look for a village. Maybe we'll meet other people who ended up here the same way too." So Nowi had the same dream. That helped a lot. It would be safe to assume that the same happened to Dug and any other unusual people she'd wind up meeting. But that didn't matter. What mattered was that she wanted to maul Dug right now, screw him being bigger than she was in fox form. He was making her look like a fool! And people asked her why she hated dogs so much. How was she going to get him to talk? What was one thing dogs could not resist? Throwing a ball? No. The only ball she had was her jewel, and she couldn't afford to go throwing it around. Treats? She didn't have any. What animal did dogs like chasing? That she had an answer to, but oh Sweet Amaterasu, this was going to be mortifying. Rei pointed in a certain direction and called out the name of one thing dogs could not resist. "LOOK! A SQUIRREL!!!!"

Peter tugged the hood of his jacket down a bit with his free hand, only for it to bounce back up to where it was, being a slight hint at his growing nervousness. He looked back at the cyborg, thankful for his hood being just large enough that they hadn’t been able to see his face. Or it was the sheer fact he was shorter than the man. Then again, they did just call him a boy... was his voice really that high? "First of all, how in the world can you ‘applaud me’ if I currently have your hands webbed,” he raised the hand still holding the webbing. “And second, I’m not a...” he trailed off, knowing well enough he’s young and baby-faced enough to still be a boy.

And the cyborg continued on about being defenseless, Peter quickly replied. “Well, you see, I didn't exactly— wait, a sword?" He glanced at the cyborg's back, finally taking the time to register the fact they were carrying two blades, one on their waist and a larger one, probably a samurai sword, on their back. "Okay... you're a cyborg carrying around blades... and you plan on using them against another mechanical thing. Is that really all that smart? And come on dude, you have legs! You can kick, you know? Like, punch someone but with your foot? You can hit lower down and it’s much easier to kick someone in between their legs instead of having to reach down and— No? Too much? Okay then.” Peter shifted his stance to hopefully give him a more confident look, not that he wasn't confident looking already, right? Probably not. It wasn’t like he was obviously in a state of unease or anything with his constant fidgeting as he spoke, though he was able to mostly conceal it in his voice. Desperately wanting to stop focusing on the cyborg who’s unusual clam really god on the teen’s nerves, Peter turned partially towards the girl, craning his head quite a bit just so he could actually see her face from this angle. This movement, sadly, caused Peter’s hood to slip off his head and fall to his back before he could even snatch it back up, taking with it all the feigned confidence he just had. This was going well.

Giving the girl a small wave from where he stood, he cleared his throat and turned back to the man, his mouth open as if he were about to speak when the commotion with Tom and Tord breaking loose. Stunned from both of the men’s outbursts, Peter stood still, his grip on the webs loosening yet again as they began to unravel from where he wrapped them. At this point, with the obviously personal fight going on, he didn’t make an effort to keep the cyborg restrained anymore. He came to protect a girl he heard screaming, only to be stopped dead in his tracks by a guy who obviously had anger issues threatening who Peter thought was Tord’s friend. Confidence and wit gone, he stood silently without a single remark.

It didn’t take long for Jaina to realize the young lady noticed her, especially for the way her attention quickly shifted to where Jaina now stood. What surprised her was the copy of the woman that appeared next to them, and how she was speaking to it as if it were truly self aware. Was that possible for mirrors to be aware? Jaina honestly didn’t know, having never cast such a spell herself after all the years she’s practiced magic. As the mirrored being began to approach her, carrying a mirror in its hand a small of it were a weapon of defense, she didn’t notice the other one that appeared as well, approaching her from the other side in a much more timid and cowardly way. As the mirror got closer, she stepped forward, hoping she was now in the sightline of the lady.

Eyes on the illusion, she spoke. “If you’re planning on smacking me over the head with that mirror of yours, I’d like to let you know that’s not the smartest decision you could make.” Turning her eyes to the woman, she kept her expression flat. “I’m not here to harm you, and whether you’re a native or not, I have some questions for you.” Pushing past the illusion without touching it, just in case it was actually tangible, she approached the floating woman, stopping few feet in front of her. “You don’t seem like a sin’dorei, or even a mix of one and a human if they even dared have kids. Put the mirror down, I’ve already said I am not going to hurt you, so there’s no need to act as if you and your illusion are going to whack me to death with them.”

Tony [1]

Postby Ploegy » Mon Apr 30, 2018 4:38 pm

      Tony Stark / Iron Man
      ───────────────────────────────────
      47 Male Marvel Tagged: Open

Sitting up from his sleep, Tony was taken aback by the dream he had been having. Most of his nights he was left struggling with his own dreams, yet for once he had gotten something peaceful albeit odd. It was a nice change of pace to say the least, though it felt out of place with what always was going through his head. He had always been prone to being constantly reminded of the hardships he had faced throughout his life though of late he had found ways to ease his mind and allow himself to sleep far better than he had been for several years. Pepper had been a major part of that along with some of his own inventions. Things had only gotten worse again after everything that happened with the Avengers officially breaking apart. It had taken its toll on Tony. He always refused to admit it though. Deep down he was still angry with what had taken place between him, Steve and Bucky, but he knew dwelling on such a fact only made things worse. The letter he had received from Cap at least showed him that the other Avenger was still willing to work things out. The question was, did he want to do the same? He had begun going on his own path of recent, taking the young Peter under his wing. Maybe that path would cross again with Steve.

His mind had lead him astray, though it only took him a moment to snap out of his thoughts and come back into reality. As his vision finally settled in the scene around he began to take shape. No longer was he in his home. He wasn't even in his lab or the new Avengers headquarters. He was someplace entirely new, yet it was vaguely familiar. It only took a couple seconds for him to connect the dots and a faint look of shock to cross his face. Had he been tinkering with something before he had fallen asleep? He couldn't recall ever creating something that was able to immerse him in his own dreams. Sure, he had created something that could alter his memories, but this wasn't something from his past. This was something different. Maybe it was Wanda playing mind tricks on him like she had done when he first encountered her. That seemed unlikely. She wasn't the type to simply mess with his head or anyone else's for that matter.

Looking around for a moment, Tony knew this wasn't an illusion of sorts or even a dream anymore. This place was real and someone had brought him here. Why? He wasn't sure, but he would find out. It was all he could do at this point. Pushing himself to his feet, he took in the full scene around him. Off in the near distance he could see the beach and in another direction there was a forest. As for his current position, he seemed to be in a field of sorts. Of all places he could have awoken, he imagined it was the worst. There was nothing he could change about that now. Turning in a full circle, the hero couldn't make out any humanoid figures nearby. Was he alone? To be stuck in an unknown land by himself? It was a difficult for him to accept such. It wasn't possible that he indeed was alone. Someone had to be in this place, but where? The thought of using his suit came to mind to try and search for heat signatures, but Tony brushed it off for the moment. As much as he wanted to rely on his tech, something felt off about this place and made him a bit uneasy to reveal the suit immediately. He'd simply have to find people the old fashioned way. Now he was starting to act like Cap. The thought of such caused him to wrinkle his nose slightly.

Pushing the thought aside, Stark began to slowly make his way through the open field. Where was the best place to search? He could try to travel across the open space in hopes of finding civilization off in the distance or he could try his luck exploring the forest or he could even search the beach. The forest and the beach seemed like unlikely sources for any kind of civilization, but from his dream he recalled the beach being around the location he had meet the child. Perhaps that was a sign that he was supposed to find them there. It was worth a shot as much as he disliked like the idea. Making up his mind, Tony turned himself in the direction of the beach in hopes of finding someone else wandering around.

ᴋᴀᴇᴅᴇ ᴀᴋᴀᴍᴀᴛsᴜ
Female - 16 - Danganronpa V3 - Form - Location: Beach - Tagged: Landon Reynolds, Clover

A small, half-confused and half-disbelieving smile played at the blonde-haired teenager's lips as the two males talked about magic. A hexed spellbook? A warlock? Spells? A witch? None of that made sense to Kaede. It was as if they were talking about something out of a fantasy novel. Was Clover a sort of magician? The muscular man certainly did not look like a performing magician, but she shouldn't judge by appearances. She thought of her own friend back from her previous situation. Himiko Yumeno, a short and somewhat childlike girl who held the title of Ultimate Magician, whereas Kaede held the title of Ultimate Pianist. However, the red-haired petite girl had often claimed to be the Ultimate Mage, instead. "I've got a friend who's an ultimate mage," she said, with an amused smile. "Of course, she's actually the Ultimate Magician, but don't let her catch you saying that- she's going to go on and on about how she could perform real magic but is simply out of mana." A laugh escaped the girl's mouth, and she felt a small weight be lifted off her chest. She had been worrying about everything, but thinking of her friends from the academy gave her a bit of courage. Of course, it also helped that she was playing another piece of soothing classical music in her mind. She still wasn't sure about what Landon meant about his own friend being a witch. Magic didn't exist, right? It would make more sense if Landon's friend and Clover were magicians. Still, there were some strange things going on here. There was that dream... and then she was somehow whisked away into this strange island. There must be a logical explanation behind it, but she couldn't help but think it was almost like magic. Kaede couldn't help but notice that her two new acquaintances had mentioned how they wouldn't mind staying here for the rest of their lives, but also had family and friends back home. The girl figured she shouldn't have found this so strange. After all, in each of their respective dreams, they had said "yes" to the child when the child asked them if they wanted to stay. Unlike Kaede, who had just agreed out of desperation and trauma of the place she was stuck in, the others must have had a choice. They must've had a real desire to stay in this world. Kaede, however, had too much to go back to. There was her family, and her old friends, as well as the promise she had made to her new friends. There was even her occupation as a pianist to think about. "This is a nice place and all, but I have a promise to keep back home. Also, I'd like to make hundreds of people smile by playing the piano, and I can't do that in this island, now can I?" Kaede explained, a mixture of emotions swirling around her purple eyes. There was determination, but also wistfulness and homesickness. She might look as if she was being optimistic given the situation, but it was undeniable that she wanted to find out whoever was behind this whole thing and get out of here as soon as possible. "Landon, Mr. Clover... Let's get out of here together and find a way back to our loved ones," she said. Balling up her hands into fists, she raised her hands in a gesture of encouragement. Clover should get back to his aunt and "familiars", and Landon had family and friends he wanted to see again. Even if Kaede wasn't somebody capable, she believed that if the three of them cooperated- maybe along with the rest of the people trapped here- they could find a way out of here. To that end, Kaede would do everything in her power to contribute, even if she was nobody special.

Aqua had relatively calmed down now, and she returned to her relaxed position. However, even in her "relaxed position", she still had the poise and posture of a fighter. The girl watched as Rin slowly sheathed his sword as he explained things to her. She figured that she should also put away her keyblade, too. She didn't want to be the only one carrying a weapon around; that might leave a bad impression on the boy and make him wary of her. The keyblade in her hand vanished in a burst of light. She felt her fingers slip through the hilt and finally clutch nothing but air. Aqua figured that she should take it out only when necessary- there was no point in scaring away the other people they might come across. The short-haired girl slowly nodded. Realizing her initial reaction due to her instincts kicking in, she definitely felt a sense of guilt about it. She had told Rin that she rarely judged by appearances, but she had just freaked out when he revealed what he said was his "true form". It certainly gave her a bit of relief that he had returned to assuming his regular appearance. The blue flames really reminded her of the harsh battles she'd fought, and in turn, led her to think of the past. "I see. I can't say I fully understand, but I'm sorry for freaking out," she apologized, casting her gaze down to the sand. "It's just that..." The girl hesitated, wondering if she should continue on with her explanation. Revealing her experiences would sort of reveal that she had traveled to many worlds prior to this one, and it might be too complicated for Rin to digest. Aqua shook her head. "...ah, nevermind." A small smile returned to her face.

The girl took a few steps inland, towards the direction they had agreed to explore. She cocked her head to the side. "Now that we have an idea of each other's fighting methods, shall we go?" Aqua couldn't help but feel a bit of a burning impatience inside, though her calm and collected face betrayed no such emotion. She wanted to just get out of here as fast as possible, save this world from collapsing into the darkness, and then go and find out whatever happened to Terra and Ventus. However, she had a duty in this world to fulfill: her heart commanded her to.
