Mythra ~ Pyra
~ The Aegis ~ 500+ years ~ Location; Cliff ~ Tags; Gold

Mythra let a small smile appear on her face as she watched Pibu cram all the berries into his mouth. It was quite adorable, and Mythra now understood why Pyra was so fond of the little guy. Pyra was worried about him at first, but she figured Pibu could tell if the berries were safe or not. Mythra, on the other hand, was still skeptical of the berries. She wasn't sure about these things yet. If it was safe for humans, the same couldn't be said for a Blade. Humans and Blades had an entirely different biology from the other, so who knew what it was going to do to her. Despite her hunger, she wasn't going to try one of those berries. She doubted Gold would be so stupid to...

"You didn't..." Mythra muttered under her breath. He had just said earlier that just because it was safe for Pokémon, that didn't mean it was safe for humans. Or Blades. As dumb as it was to eat them without knowing if they were safe or not, Mythra decided she could learn something useful about the berries from what effect they would have on Gold. Mythra was surprised to see Gold offer her a berry, and she had considered taking it when she heard his comment. She blankly stared at the berry in silence for some moments. Mythra! I know what he said was rude, but don't even think of throwing things at him! Uh, Mythra..? Mythra! She ignored her sister's voice ringing out in her head as she slowly stood up. "Idiot..." With the simple gesture of closing her hand around an invisible weapon, her white sword appeared in her hand in a golden light. "You won't live to see what that berry is going to do to you..." The sword came to life as it unsheathed, surrounded by golden energy and illuminating the area around the Aegis. ..Why do I even try?

Otome / Agent Eight ~ Octoling ~ 16
Location; Beach ~ Tags; Zenyatta, Fumihiro

"Both, of course!" Otome figured he was probably slapping himself right now for asking such a question, but she didn't want to make it worse for him. "There's a better chance of residents knowing something about what's going on, and we can definitely learn something about humans, to boot. It's a win-win situation." The village and docks she had spotted from a distance were now closer, and she could make out a couple boats from here. She wanted to super jump over, since it would be quicker, but Zenyatta wasn't that fast, and she didn't want to leave him behind. It wasn't fair to the Omnic to just leave him behind like that. Besides, she still had more questions for him about humans, and she'd never get any answers if she just ditched him.

"I'd be happy to answer questions about Octolings and Inklings. But I wanna ask some questions about humans in turn." Otome figured this would be her only chance to speak with humans and a robot who knew all about their culture and visit a village. It was even better that Hiro was here too. It was nice to have a friend tag along, and she wouldn't want anyone to miss out on an experience like this. "I can already make out the village from here. It's nowhere near as big as Inkopolis, but it still must have quite a few residents... I wonder what those humans do for a living." Otome curled one of her tentacles around her finger before letting go of it and watching it spring back into position out of the corner of her eye. She was getting impatient to arrive in the village, and it was starting to show through the repetitive motion of twirling her tentacle hair.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Mechanica - Female, 15 - Location: Forest's edge - Tagged: Genji, Peter, Wade
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Hearing the cyborg ninja's suggestion about searching for shelter or civilization, Mechanica nodded her head to show agreement before she turned her gaze to Deadpool, who had just asked about the condition of her suit. Turning again, she took a quick moment to scan over it once more--mainly focusing her attention on its back this time, now that she was able to inspect this area properly. From what she could tell, there were no visible indications of damage there, either. "Mmmmm... Yep; I think we're good to go! Heh... Thanks, though," she replied in confirmation, an appreciative little smile forming on her face. At this moment, she saw the strange man's arm practically being swallowed by one of his pouches, causing her expression to abruptly shift to one of disbelief in response to the rather bizarre (and comical) sight. Her gaze then briefly remained frozen in this position, until she heard the boy in the hoodie responding to her question.

Now returning her attention to the boy, Mechanica listened with a genuinely intrigued look on her face as he began to talk about his own suits, leaning forwards slightly to get a closer look at his web shooters while he was showing them to her. "Oooohh..." she murmured as she stared at the small devices for a few moments, then returned her gaze to the boy's face when he continued speaking. Listening as he went on to describe another, particularly advanced-sounding suit of his, Mechanica's face instantly lit up with a look of awe. She had never heard of anything even remotely similar to this second suit before, as far as she could remember, and trying to imagine it in detail--even if a bit difficult--caused the corners of her mouth to spread into an especially wide grin. "Uwa...!! That sounds amazing!" she remarked with much enthusiasm, clearly impressed by everything she had just heard about the high-tech suit.

The conversation shifted elsewhere after this, the boy now introducing himself as Peter--which led Mechanica to guess that all of the spider-related names she had heard earlier must, in fact, be nicknames or something of the sort. "Nah, it's no problem," she assured him, her expression friendly. "I'm Mechanica. Pleased to meetcha!"
All of a sudden, Mechanica heard the distinct sound of the cyborg ninja's voice chiming in to comment on the suits Peter had been talking about. Much to her bafflement, he didn't really seem at all impressed by them like she was; in fact, he even seemed to be stifling some laughter as he expressed his thoughts on them. Staring at him with a shocked look, she was about to voice her surprise on the matter before something else that he said jumped right out at her: "It is 2080". Upon hearing these words, she grew rather distracted from the rest that followed, falling silent until the man seemed to be finished speaking for now. "... Wait a sec, though..." Mechanica somewhat slowly started again at this point, her gaze settling on his glowing green visor. "2080...??" she echoed, sounding deeply perplexed. The year he mentioned didn't exactly match up with what she was used to, and being unaware of the fact that they were actually from different worlds entirely from each other, his statement left her extremely confused.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Marina - Female, 18 - Location: Forest - Tagged: Peridot
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
"Peeeaarl?! Oto-..." Marina began to call out again, but her voice cut off abruptly when she saw that a stranger was quickly heading towards her. Becoming a bit startled, she carefully watched as they drew closer, grasping her Sorella Brella tightly in one hand. After a moment of observing the individual, she quickly noted that they didn't appear to be an Octoling or an Inkling; in fact, they didn't particularly resemble any of the other creatures Marina was used to seeing back home, either. Upon thinking about it more, she realized that this individual actually had some resemblance to humans--or, at least, what she knew of their appearance through ancient depictions, given that they had been extinct in her own world for many years.

When she heard the stranger speak up, seemingly addressing her, Marina's eyes grew somewhat wide and she quickly glanced down to meet their gaze. They thankfully didn't seem hostile from what she could tell so far, which at least calmed her partially. Additionally, they did apparently know about humans--though she had never heard of any creature know as a "gem", which just further sparked her curiosity. "O-oh...! Umm... That's right," the Octoling responded with a hint of awkwardness in her tone, pausing as she thought carefully about how to proceed. "... My name's Marina. I'm..." Once again, she fell silent with a thoughtful--and slightly unsure--expression. Not yet knowing anything about the individual in front of her, she couldn't help feeling uncertain over how they would react if she revealed to them that she was an Octoling, so she quickly decided to just be rather vague with the next part of her response. "I'm an octopus... basically..."
Right after she had finished saying this, Marina carefully held a hand out to the stranger, offering a handshake as a friendly gesture. As she did so, she gave a small and somewhat shy smile, as well, nervously anticipating a response.

Chitin || Kylnar - Symbiote || Health 100% || Chaotic good || Field || Tony, Nia & Almira

Listening to everyone talk to take everything in, he listened to tony report about a village in the distance. It was probably the best idea and chitin didn't exactly want to go off by himself with that weird metal beast thing(Meta) trudging about that ruined the last village. So when Nia asked if he was coming, he nodded and quickly picked up his pace to follow the two. "Chitin is coming. Chitin doesn't want to run into that weird monster thing from earlier." He informed with a nod of his head.

Wade Willson || Deadpool || Mutant || Health 100% || Chaotic nuetral || Nuetral || Forest || mechanica, peter, genji

when mechanica states her suit was good and all, he pulled his arm from the pouch and gave a playful two finger salute. "Alrighty then! Just let me know if you need anything. I think i have a roll of duck tape in here somewhere." He mused with a shrug of his shoulders as he listened to peter chatter about his suit, smirking in amusement at the nerdy little kid before him.
    Marvel don't change this one
    {Of you know they will once he stops being the cash cow.}
    Shut up.
Deadpool focused in just at the 2080 comment and sputtered a bit on an invisible drink. "Woah, woah. Slow your roll there mc'edge. If it was 2080, then this spidey here wouldn't be... well. This spidey, he's be some latino-irish boy named Miguel who doesn't even have spider powers yet. Get your timeline straight, its barely 2020." Deadpool stated outright while pointing his ungloved molted skinned and scarred finger at Genji.

Wilheim Reinhardt || The german Crusader || Human || Health - 95% || Lawful good || curious || Angela - pearl

Reinhardt gave a boisterous laugh, pounding a fist against his chest as well. "Ja! Das is what we are meine fruend!" He announced as he looked at the small being that was pearl, even kneeling down (despite the strain it would put on his back later) so to be a bit shorter, more of angela's height and seem less imposing. "Why do you question such? You sound as if humans are a rarity from where you come from." He questioned, curious.

The questions an odd one. What year was he from? The question even made Venom look at markus before moving closer as flash pondered the thought, trying to think of how to answer without freaking out markus. "Um.... Flash rung his hands together as venom snorted greatly. "The year in which we live is 2016." Venom stated after growing annoyed with flash's stalling. "Theres also a thing called the Multiverse. So we may not even be from the same universe as well." Venom concluded with a huff, tongue flickering out to lick at their mawl/teeth as flash shrugged a bit "He has a point. The year might not even matter if we aren't even from the same universe." Flash concluded.

((Oof writer's block got me; sorry I took so long :/))

Saber - Female - Straight - Fate/Stay Night - Heroic Spirit - Location: Underground, Near the Center - Tags: Hajime

Hajime reached back into the coffin and pulled out a pair of guns that Saber hadn't noticed before. The boy seemed as if he was experienced in handling them, but what really intrigued her was what the guns looked like. She vaguely remembered Kiritsugu using items like that before, which was the only reason she even knew what they were in the first place. Apparently, things that weren't useful to Servants like geography, language, and items that may aid them in their fights were not included in the amount of knowledge they received upon being summoned. For instance, information on cooking was usually not provided unless the Master needed it. The boy appeared as if he were going to test the guns out, but he eventually turned the safety lock on and focused himself back on Saber. She was just about to agree that they should find a way out of this space when the seemingly sold rock began to shift away, creating another passage. This one was a bit narrower and went deeper towards the center of the island. "I don't like the feeling that passageway gives off, but it may lead to answers. Let's give it a try," the knight said, taking a step towards the newly created tunnel.

The moment the two of them were fully immersed in the new passage, another grinding noise told Saber that the tunnel behind them had closed up. "I suppose we have no choice but to go deeper now," she remarked. However, it was becoming evident that people had previously lived underground. Signs of household necessities, building materials, and even items that looked eerily similar to human bones were seen as they treaded farther. The ominous presence of the island was also getting more prominent as well, and soon Saber could've sworn she heard a continuous humming noise in the background. Sometimes, it even felt as if something or someone was following them, but whenever the knight turned back with her sword in hand, the tunnel seemed completely devoid of life. When the constant humming was almost unbearable, Saber finally stopped abruptly, realizing that the tunnel had ended and they were now in yet another chamber, this one almost twice as large as the first. She was just about to take another step forward when she heard the noise of crumbling rocks. Flinching slightly, she looked down to see a yawning chasm where her feet would have been had she not backed away immediately. To one side of the canyon, the knight noticed a small, narrow pathway that looked as if it could collapse at any time. She gestured to Hajime. "Follow me, but careful where you walk. One step in the wrong place could send you down...there." At this, she gulped and looked at the canyon once more. She took a deep breath and started walking, her hand rooted to the wall of the chamber.

      Tony Stark / Iron Man
      ───────────────────────────────────
47 Male Marvel Tagged: Chitin & Nia

Hearing both Nia and Chitin agree that they should move toward the other village, Tony gave a small nod. He was glad a decision had been quick to come to. The last thing he wanted was to sit around and argue about what they should do then again, he probably wouldn't have bothered staying if it came to that. Doing things his own way was kind of his go to way of dealing with situations. Looking toward Chitin for moment as he spoke, he gave a small nod. It was probably best if they didn't run into Meta again although he'd be lying if he said he wasn't interested in the other. That was just how he was. Tech like that simply piqued his curiosity, but he doubted that the other would ever let him do any tinkering or messing with that suit of armor he wore. Then again, he didn't have the tools to let him do such anyways. "I'm sure we won't be running into him again, well, at least not without seeing him coming first," he told the symbiote with a faint smile on his lips. Yet again he found himself trying to reassure Chitin that things were going to be alright. It was almost strange for him to be doing such. Even he questioned why he was being so kind.

Pushing the thought off, he knew he had to focus on the task at hand. They needed to get moving. Like Nia had said, if they wanted to get to the village before the sun set they needed to get moving as soon as possible. Without another word to be said, Tony turned in the direction of the village and began moving forward. As he moved, his suit began to dissipate from around his body and return to his reactor as if it had never been there to begin with. He was sure that even with the suit off FRIDAY would still keep him up to date on anything that might be out of the ordinary around them that he didn't immediately spot. That would give him enough time to suit up again and be prepared unlike the previous attack. Glancing back at his companions, he knew he couldn't keep the silence going for too long. "Keep your eyes open for anything unusual, okay? Our path to this village is out in the open so we're easy targets out here right now," he said. It was bad that they were out in the open like they were, but it was the only way they would get to their destination. Besides, it would be easy to spot anyone that came at them as well.

His eyes were immediately drawn to the sword as it appeared in the woman's hand. It took him a moment to register the words that came along with her weapon's sudden appearance, but once it clicked with him, he couldn't help but let a faint smirk cross his lips. It was probably a reckless move on his part, but he had always been the overconfident type and he always was in the middle of trouble to begin with. Taking his eyes off Mythra for a moment, he gestured to Pibu to get on his shoulder. If the aegis really was going to try and attack him then he wasn't going to leave his Pokemon behind as he tried to deal with the situation at hand. As the small electric rodent jumped up, Gold caught him to allow him to climb up onto his shoulder. With his companion in place, he reached for one of his pokeballs. It was almost as if he showed no fear of the danger he was putting himself in, yet deep down he was afraid of what she might do. He wasn't planning on letting it show though. "Oh really? You're not going to let me live over some silly comment? Is that how you solve your problems?" he asked. His words oozed with an odd amount of confidence for someone who knew they were in a bad position, but these were the kind of things he was used to being put in to. If he could face Arceus and somehow survive, then he was sure he could come out of this alive too. He may get injured, but he'd be alive. That was what mattered. "I think I'd rather see if this berry causes me to die a slow and painful death than die to that sword of yours."

Truly he had no desire to actually face her head on. The only good thing was it was clear that her only target was him. That was a major difference to his battle with Arceus. Back then he had to take the god Pokemon head on to keep it from advancing. This time he had the choice to play the run away game and that was exactly what he was going to do. Perhaps in the process he could calm her down and return to a peaceful situation. That was all he hoped. He didn't want to end up alone again, but if a resolution couldn't be reached then it might be his only option. With his small plan in mind, Gold revealed the pokeball in his hand and released the Togekiss that was waiting inside. Climbing onto its back, he gave Togetaro a small pat on the head. "To the skies, buddy!" At his command, the Togekiss burst upward through the cherry blossoms, causing the petals to scatter about in the process. He was sure being in the sky wasn't enough to keep him safe, but until he saw what she did, he didn't want to make any sudden decisions.

      Hajime Hinata
      ───────────────────────────────────
17 Male Danganronpa 2 Tagged: Saber

Once again Hajime fell silent as he followed behind Saber and oddly it didn't surprise him when the previous entrance was closed off. He was sure it would only become a reoccurring thing while they were down here. At least that made it easier to make the decision to continue to move forward. Giving a small nod at the knight's words, his eyes moved to the items that were scattered around. Even though it hinted that there might have been people living underground, he wasn't sure if such could be entirely concluded from such. He was sure that such things could have possible been buried in tombs. His knowledge was limited on the subject, but he was sure that people were buried with things that were important to them and the likes. He was still almost certain this was a tomb of sorts, though even that couldn't be entirely concluded either. It didn't matter exactly what this place was. It gave him a bad feeling nonetheless and he wanted to be above ground again. Being underground itself had become something he greatly disliked after everything that had happened during the Killing Game. All the trials had been held in underground rooms. To be reminded of such was not something he wanted at the moment, especially since the last couple trials he had been put through had been the most emotional ones for him and both of them still were quite fresh on his mind.

Snapping back to reality as the tunnel opened up into yet another chamber, he allowed his eyes to quietly observe the room. It appeared empty unlike the last one. It was quite strange to him, but he had no time to voice his concern. By then he noticed Saber was already continuing on her way across the room until the floor seemed to begin falling away. Taking a small step back, Hajime wrinkled his nose slightly. Staring at the gaping chasm, he almost missed the knight's voice. Snapping his gaze up to her, he gave yet another nod. "Right, I'll be careful," he assured her. Allowing himself to inch forward after her, he should feel his heart racing in his chest again. This wasn't the kind of thing he had become used to during his time in the Neo World. There were plenty of dangerous situations, but this wasn't anything like what he had experienced. Taking a deep breath in attempt to calm himself, he continued to follow behind the knight until he heard a laugh echoing behind them. It was hard to turn his body to see what was there, but from the corner of his eye he could see a figure casting a shadow along the chamber's wall. It appeared to be human. What was most concerning was the fact that the laugh was oddly familiar. Was it possible that this was something that the letter had warned them about?

"Who's there?!" he called out, though his voice was hesitant. He was met with nothing but silence. The shadow however seemed to draw closer and soon it was moving faster than he expected. Turning himself carefully, Hajime lifted the gun once again only to have it meet with the forehead of a familiar face. In return, he had a knife point directly at his throat. Narrowing his eyes, he instantly knew this had to be some trick that was being played on them for the one that stood before him was supposed to be dead. He had suffered the most brutal murder of all though most of it had been self inflicted. Still, the white haired boy before him was supposed to be dead or at least he was supposed to be in a coma because of his death in the Neo World. Perhaps this was the work of the illusions the note had spoken of. It was possible. Grunting softly, the boy didn't move his finger off the trigger. Moving his head slightly to get a glimpse of the other side of the chamber, he could see another shadow on the wall. It was as if it was waiting for the right time to emerge. Was it possible that it was a fake of someone Saber knew? It might be possible if this really was playing off the illusion part of the letter. Averting his eyes back to the fake Nagito, he pressed the gun harder against its forehead. "What is this? What are you doing?"

"Isn't it obvious? We are here to make sure you don't make it out of here alive. We have to protect it," the illusion spoke. Its voice ever matched that of Nagito. It only pissed Hajime off more. "You wouldn't kill me off now would you, Hajime? Even you couldn't be that cruel, right? After all that would mean you had fallen to despair. Is that what you want?" Those words caused Hajime's eyes to narrow. It was clear that they were trying to work him up, but he wouldn't let that happen. "Saber, be careful. I think there's another one of these on the other side," he called out to her, ignoring the words that had been spoken toward him.

Blake Female Werewolf 19 Tags: Open
───────────────────────────

To say Blake is confused would be the understatement of a lifetime. The night before had gone just as any other night with her pack. Her Alpha assembled the pack to go over the days events and any upcoming events in the future while also listing off the next watch standers and such. Same old pack stuff that the teen would tune out every once in awhile. After that Blake settled into her room in the pack house while reminding herself to finish unpacking. She had been in the pack for around a month and she still had a few boxes left laying around. Once settling down into a nice sleep the werewolf was pleasantly surprised by her dream. Most nights were restless for the girl, or filled with nightmares. Every once in a while she'd be blessed with a dreamless sleep, but tonight her dreams were actually rather nice. Of course things were too good to be true, for when Blake woke up she was lost. The teen wasn't in her room, but rather a twisted version of her dream. Well...maybe nightmare was stretching a bit far, but the island was defiantly unsettling. "I can't have one normal day?" She huffed. Now the teen was aimlessly walking about, attempting to make sense of the whole situation and perhaps find a way back home.

her knife held tightly by her side, as the redhead looked around, face blank of emotion,
a skill she'd come to master in the red room. in all honesty she was terrified, but wasn't plann
ing on showing it, at all. she tensed up, hearing another voice. willing herself to not be heard
as she brought the knife up to where, if she needed, she could defend herself. the girl she saw
though, had this aura around her, just a comforting presence. she had woken up into some form
of a dreamscape, much like the one from before, except this was darker, certainly couldn't be
the same. she knew if she needed she could take down the girl, so she stepped to where the girl
could see her. all she wanted was to get home. excuse me she asked,
trying not to be too loud, but loud enough so the girl could hear her. do you have
any clue where we are?
the knife was classed tightly behind her back.

Avelina looked around carefully as she through the forest. "I wonder what I'll meet in this forest? I don't know if any lions, tigers, or bears are in this forest. Hopefully I'll won't run into any of those or any more mirages," she thought. Avelina spotted a man wearing a dark suit a few yards away. "Excuse me sir," she said, while walking towards him, "did you happen to arrive here recently?" "I don't think he's a mirage or a ghost. He looks like a normal adult who is dressed for work. But appearances can be deceiving sometimes, " Avelina thought.

"We should try heading to the cliff. It would be a good place to view this entire area at. Also, we might accidentally walk in circles if we're in the forest," Le Pingouin replied. "It must be horrible to deal with a bear that could possibly explode. The best thing I could, maybe, compare it to is an akuma multiplying. Those things can cause massive destruction if they aren't found and dealt with," he thought. "Monokuma definitely sounds like something a mad scientist would make. Or maybe even Hawkmoth. But so far he's been making akumas. They are weird-looking butterflies attracted to negative emotions like a magnet. Then once they find someone, they persuade the person to serve Hawkmoth in exchange for super powers and getting their desires. Despair Bear was a butler of one of my...friends. It's absolutely horrible seeing one of your friends be a supervillian, even if it's for a short time," Le Pingouin added. "Do I consider Chloe to be one of my friends? As long as she isn't bothering anyone, I think I could consider her to be a friend of mine," he thought.

kaito aoki 001

”𝙺𝚞 𝚋𝚒 𝚖𝚊𝚐𝚊𝚗𝚊𝚝𝚊 𝚗𝚊 𝚐𝚒𝚛𝚖𝚊𝚗 𝚔𝚊𝚒...”
kaito aoki
“dual tongue”
location - beach
tags - none | open
”...𝚍𝚘𝚖𝚒𝚗 𝚣𝚊𝚗 𝚔𝚊𝚒 𝚔𝚞 𝚐𝚒𝚍𝚊.”

All he could remember was the child from his dream. He remembered being home with his cat Locke, yes. But all that mattered to him was that kid. Those few words that he knew would change his life forever. He didn’t want to agree, but that emotion in the child’s eyes made him say yes. He knew it wouldn’t turn out well, and when the child disappeared from his vision and kaito started to fall, he knew he was right. For once he wishes he had trusted the instincts that his pride bestowed upon him. But once again he pushed them away in hopes of being deemed as ‘normal’ to the rest of society.
Kaito’s lips parted open as he took in a long and slow breath, inhaling the salty air around him through his mouth with a slight cringe. Salty air, salty taste. He cracked his eyes open, looking up and the dark sky that was so so bright and wonderful in his dream. What else could’ve he expected? He licked his dry and cracked lips, once again cringing from the salty taste.
It was odd he wasn’t freaking out about this, but something inside him knew it was going to happen. Maybe it was just a gut feeling, but he was sure it wasn’t. It was that connection to the other inside of him. He remembered when he was child, alone in the middle of the woods. The words just fell from his lips, and he remembered them like a dog remembers the scent of their family.
”Da zarar ka ji kira na dole ne ku koma gida.”
As soon as the words fell from his lips everything went silent that day. Then the pride came to him and took him in. It was as if they knew what happened to him and knew that he needed a new family. Since the day he lost them to the humans he felt as if he lost a part of himself.
kaito sat up, looking around him to see a few scattered people who were likely in the same position he was in and a couple different terrains that likely lead to another. He slowly stood up, staring into the terrain that looked most like home. The forest. He looked around again, something just didn’t seem right to him. But he shook it off and started taking his first steps toward the forest.

"Me? I'm an Inkling; in other words, a squid!" Pearl replied enthusiastically to Angela's question. Suddenly, she transformed into her squid form, pushing herself up to balance on her two large tentacles as she looked upwards. "Maybe this looks more familiar to ya?" she chuckled, figuring that this form was closer to how the Inklings' ancient ancestors--which lived in the sea during the humans' time--looked.
After just a moment, Pearl quickly became humanoid again. "Humans aren't just rare where I come from; y'all are straight-up extinct!" she went on to respond to Reinhardt, her tone making it very clear that she found the nature of this meeting very surprising. "They say it was the rising sea levels or whatever that wiped you guys out. 'Course, that happened waaaaay before we came along." Looking a little more thoughtful, she put her hands on her hips and glanced off for a moment. "Man, this is crazy weird. First I randomly dream about some human, then I wake up here and run into you guys," she remarked in reference to the dream she'd had earlier, returning her pale golden gaze to the two humans in front of her upon mentioning them.
