- He could understand why the directions were quite vague. From the sounds of it something seemed to be lurking that might cause problems for the natives thus giving out too much information clearly was frowned upon. Maybe it was possible that they were constantly being watched or something along those lines. He understood the reasoning behind it all. "They may be vague, but I think it was quite obvious that there's a reason for that. I mean the way he acted clearly hinted at that so what we got was better than nothing," he mused with a light shrug of his shoulders. He was sure that she should have noticed such. Even he had and he wouldn't consider himself the brightest of people. Pushing the thought off, Rin allowed himself to look around the village for a moment as he noticed that the natives had stopped staring and gone back to to their everyday lives. It was clear they were no longer interested in them which was nice. Having so many eyes on him had made him quite uncomfortable even if he didn't want to admit it. "Anyways, I'm not sure staying here would do us much good right now. If we still have several hours of day left then searching might be our best bet. Plus like you said, we can always back track if we need not to mention that we could always find a village that is closer to the temple to stay in if we need." Even if it might be dangerous to push on, the half demon saw no reason to hang back at the moment. Wasting time didn't seem ideal even if it would be easier to find shelter in this place now that they had been deemed worthy by the chief.
Giving a flick of his tail, he took a few steps forward hoping that the girl would follow after him. The longer they wasted in this place, the less time they had to search. Honestly, he wanted to get going so they might be able to avoid needing to fight at night. He knew how things got for him at night. Demons always became stronger. That included himself. Of course such could be seen as a good thing, but he could always quite easily lose control over his demon half if he wasn't careful and becoming savage in a place like this seemed less than ideal. Pushing the thought off, Rin knew he couldn't be thinking of such things right now. He knew he had to believe that he was in control. He couldn't start thinking he would lose control otherwise he would. Staying positive about it all was all he could do.

- Hearing her question, Gold couldn't say he was even sure if the berries were edible for Pokemon, yet he made no attempt to stop Pibu. As far as he was concerned berries back home weren't harmful to humans, though some of them weren't all too common to eat. The effects that they had on Pokemon simply just didn't work on humans anyways, but some of them just weren't all that great in taste. "Well, back home some of the berries Pokemon eat are eaten by humans, but I'm not sure what these even are so I don't know if they're actually safe," he said with a light shrug. He could expect to know what foods in some new land were like. She should have known that. It wasn't like this world had much similar with his own home and he was sure it was the same for her. Yet the berries could be useful. "Even if they're safe for Pibu that doesn't mean they'll be safe for humans, but there is only one way to find out." Plucking a berry from the bush, he held it up to examine it quietly. It was rather small and appeared to be quite similar to a razz berry though it was much redder in color. If it looked like a berry of his own world then maybe it would be so bad, though razz berry's were too spicy for his liking.
Without thinking more into it, Gold slipped the berry between his lips and closed his eyes as if he was expecting the worst. Instead he was met with a slightly tart taste. It was definitely different than what he had expected, but he couldn't say it was all that bad. Actually it was better than what razz berries tasted like. "Well, they don't taste all that bad and I don't feel anything after eating one. Maybe they really are safe," he said as he opened his eyes once again. Maybe he should have been more careful with each such a thing, but it was too late for that now. Plucking another from the bush, he turned to Mythra and held it out with a faint smirk on his lips. "Why don't you try one? You are some all powerful being right so what's a little berry going to do to you? Maybe I should have thought of that before I ate it."

- Quietly following behind her, Hajime approached the statue. It was a strange object to be standing in a forest like this, but he couldn't say it was the weirdest thing he had seen around. He had seen plenty of weird things back on Jabberwock Island. This actually oddly seemed natural in a way. Pushing the thought aside, he stopped as Saber began to examine and stood in silence with his arms crossed over his chest as he studied it. He couldn't say he could place exactly what was being depicted in it, but it looked humanoid of sorts and it clearly wasn't something that had been made recently for it showed plenty of wear and tear plus mother nature seemed to be claiming it for her own. Moss grew at its base and vines were draped over the figures upper body. It made him wonder how long it had been left to sit and if people actually came to see it at all. Given its shape, he kind of doubted the latter. Snapping from his thoughts as he heard Saber speak up, he quirked a brow. She couldn't read it? He was sure he wouldn't be able to do so either. It wasn't as if he was fluent in all too many languages besides Japanese and English and even then his English wasn't exactly the greatest. Then again she had said it was written rather small, not necessarily in another language. "Hm, I could give it a try, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to read it either."
Dropping his arms from his chest, he took a step forward and looked down at the slab. It was exactly like she had said. The text was written rather small, but even more concerning it seemed to be written in a language he couldn't exactly place. It certainly wasn't Japanese or English. Perhaps it was a native language of the island? It was possible. He couldn't say he necessarily had the knowledge to know. If only Sonia was around. She might be able to place it and decipher it. The princess did know over 30 languages. It was a feat that greatly impressed him. That wasn't important now though. Letting a soft hum escape his lips, Hajime ran his fingers over the symbols before him as if trying to find another way to read it. "Well, I don't think-" he began but he was cut off as the statue began sliding from its place to reveal a suspicious staircase underneath. It almost reminded him of Monokuma rock. Lifting his hand from the slab, he glanced at Saber. "It seems we found something that might be important. Might be best if we look into it with caution."
