Mythra ~ Pyra
~ The Aegis ~ 500+ years ~ Location; Cliff ~ Tags; Gold

"It's just nice that it's over." Hopefully none of the other monsters here weren't any stronger than the ones they had just taken down, or it would became a serious issue. "In Alrest, weather does influence creature behaviour. It's not so far fetched that it happens here too. But the appearance of these creatures does nothing to explain just what's going on here, though..." As far as she knew, there were no healers here. There was no one to heal any injuries if she ever slipped up. She'd wish that she could regenerate like she was able to five centuries ago. But keeping that ability would have meant she'd never have become Rex's Blade and met people like Nia, Morag and Tora.

"I'll be counting on you in the future, all right?" Pyra was surprised to see Explo mimic what looked like a smile. She returned it with a wide smile to match. It was fascinating that these Pokémon could learn from humans. They reminded her of Titans with their intelligence. Titans behaved a little differently, but they could be trained to serve as the foundation for ships. Pyra was surprised to see Explo approach her in the same way he did to Gold earlier. From how Gold had described the gesture, it seemed like something that he only did for people he trusted greatly. It was touching, but why would Explo show her this trust after only knowing her for less than hour or so? Pyra delicately stroked his head with the back of her fingers. "You're welcome."

Otome / Agent Eight ~ Octoling ~ 16
Location; Beach ~ Tags; Zenyatta, Hiro

"Ooh, humans use it too? And she can conjure it whenever? So humans aren't as primitive as they seem..." The way many researchers spoke of humans, they made them look to be primitive in comparison. "What else can humans do?" Though she had only seen one item of human origin, it was impossible to examine now as Pearl had completely levelled the thing with just her voice and a giant megaphone. And there was also the fact that she NEVER wanted to see that thing again. She still had nightmares about an insane AI built like a phone and almost being blended into sludge. Otome was scrolling through her list of music when she looked up briefly to see a familiar figure farther down the beach. It wasn't unique to any one person, but was definitely unique to an Octoling or Inkling. As she neared, she could determine that the figure was an Octoling from the rounded ears.

"Hey!" Otome temporarily forgot about humans and the omnic monk as she started to run towards the Octoling while waving eagerly. She was always happy to see an Octoling. Inklings were still somewhat wary of her despite the fact that she was friends with Pearl and Marina. "Hiro?!" She was close enough now to make out the figure's face and clothes clearly. "Over here! It's me, Otome!" When he had first come to Inkoplis, Otome had helped him find a place to stay and showed him around all the gear shops. He had become pretty good in turf war matches as well as ranked battles. She had seen him around every now and then, but they didn't speak much. That didn't mean she wasn't happy to see at least one person she knew. "What are you doing here?"

Midna - Female - Imp - Location: Forest -Tags: Hajime, Saber
"Are you willing to help us out?" Saber, the knight had asked. Midna pondered this silently, taking it as seriously as intended. She decided to go upon some earlier thoughts that she'd had. "Well, I will come along, but it really is up to you whether I am helpful or not... I may help you, but you have to prove yourselves worthy of helping," she crossed her arms. Hopefully they wouldn't argue with that, because it was the most reasonable stance she could stand to be at. They were probably contemplating whether it was worth it to gain her trust. She didn't take well to being alone, it was less enjoyable, and less safe. So she decided to back up the idea, telling them why it was a good idea to be trusted by her. "And by the way, I hope you would find it smart to gain my support, because you may need it in the heat of battle," she grinned. They probably had no idea what that meant. And they probably had trouble believing it as well. How could a small thing like herself be useful in battle? Distractions? No. Even without all of the fused shadows, she could do some pretty powerful things that could save people's lives. Even Zant had underestimated her, a stupid choice on his part. She warned them, her grin turning to a smirk, "You sure wouldn't want to go up against me in battle."

Rutile Twins - Sexless - Gem - "Right Twin" - "Left Twin" - Location: Forest -Tags:
(I dunno whether Midna and folks would meet them..)
The twins regained consciousness. They looked around, uneasily. "Why aren't we on Captain Lars' ship anymore?!" left asked. "And where are we?" right inquired. They looked all around. They seemed to be alone in a forest. Of course, the twins had never seen a forest and all they could guess was that they were on some weird alien planet that hadn't been put to use by the Diamonds yet. They shared the same worry, that there was someone in this place that was hostile, or had trapped them here. There was lots of places for things to ambush them. The rutile twins decided to see if there was a way out of the forest. They were made very uncomfortable by the scenery. The twins slowly lifted themselves from the ground and used a branch to help them stand up. They looked around and decided to start heading straight. They took nearly five steps and tripped on a tree log. They slowly stood back up, now with the paranoid thoughts that not only was there someone out to get them, but also possibly, something. At that they heard talking. Multiple voices. The twins couldn't make out what any of the voices were saying. They froze, not knowing whether to approach or get away.

"Alright, that's enough Explo," Gold said as he crossed his arms over his chest. He knew the Pokemon was just trying to be friendly, but he didn't need to continue it for longer than needed. Watching the Pokemon back down and return to his side, the trainer's attention shifted back to what she had originally said about the creatures and gave a small nod of his head. "But it could actually explain what is going on here in a way. I can't say for certain since I have never seen anything like those things, but it possible those things don't look like they are supposed to. They certainly didn't die in a normal manner. Explo's attack never has completely destroyed something like that unless it was highly flammable." Even grass Pokemon didn't burn up like that when Explo let loose on them and they were quite flammable creatures. Maybe that was just how this world worked. He really couldn't be certain about anything since it wasn't his home. His knowledge on Pokemon was all he really had going for him and here that didn't matter. He still had the battling aspect of it thanks to his own partners, but that was really it.

"Now, I doubt this is the case, but judging from the trees I think there could be some kind of influence on the life here. We have trees like those back home and I know they don't look like that," he remarked, deciding to shift the topic slightly. Turning to looking toward the trees, he allowed his eyes to look them over once more. He felt that they weren't necessarily dying, but something was effecting them in some manner. It kind of reminded him of what some of the Legendary Pokemon could do. He had heard about one in the Kalos region that was considered the Pokemon of Death. Perhaps it could do something similar to this. Not that it mattered at the moment. "Back home it is possible that a Legendary might be capable of something like this. It could be possible that something here is capable of such a thing as well. Maybe that's why we're here. Maybe we're supposed to save this place from whatever is making it like this." It was an interesting notion, yet Gold almost seemed to believe it. It was possible the child had shown them what the island had been like to get them to agree to coming. Maybe it wanted them to restore it to its former beauty. He was sure if that had been the case out front many would have disagreed to coming. He knew he would have. It was no business of his trying to save some place away from his home world and his absence might allow something bad to happen. He knew it was a selfish reason, but his home had to always come first.

      Hajime Hinata

Rubbing his temples, Hajime held himself back from letting loose. If it was her goal to get under his skin then he wouldn't let her have the pleasure of such. Instead he let a soft sigh escape his lips. If this is how she's going to act toward everything I say, then this is going to be hell, he thought as he fiddled with the tie around his neck. Letting go of the tie, he cast his eyes at Midna momentarily. 'Like Saber said, we can only see where it leads us. It is the best we can do," he said. It was a simple answer that he figured she would have some problem with. At this point it wouldn't surprise him. Averting his gaze back to Saber, he gave an apologetic dip of his head when he realized that his description of the Killing Game clearly had brought up a bad memory for her. That hadn't been his intent at all. He couldn't say he knew how it felt to witness a suicide, but he knew what it was like to be forced to watch executions. Brutal executions at that. Monokuma really didn't show any kind of mercy when it came to such. Pushing the thought aside, he lifted his head back up and allowed a neutral expression to cross it as if nothing had been bothering him. Masking his feelings had become almost second nature for him. "I have no objections to searching the forest first. I just have one question," he said. "Saber, you clearly had enough time to set up a camp meaning you've probably been awake longer than I have. Have you seen anything that you might place as out of the ordinary here in the forest that we should be aware of before we begin searching?" He felt that the question was important to know just in case she had encountered something dangerous or even something that might be out of place that they should keep their eyes open for. "I myself have one thing strange. The Killing Game I was in also took place on and island; one much like this one. I don't think that is the kind of situation we have been put in to, but I feel that we should keep that in mind just in case. For all I know that could simply be a strange coincidence."

As soon as he finished speaking, he heard Midna begin to speak again and took in her words silently. It was becoming clear that she thought highly of herself. It was irritable. He could easily disagree with her words and say they all had to prove their worth, but yet again he decided against even commenting on what she had to say. It was unlike him, but he really was in no mood to deal with it. Besides, maybe if he didn't speak then she would quiet down. It's all he could hope for. Giving a soft hum in response to the imp's statement, his expression was unwavering. They could take that in whatever manner they wished. He had no reason to speak on the topic given that he found any mention of battling among each other rather pointless. Even if he found the company of this imp unbearable, he had no intentions of physically getting in a fight with her. It'd be a waste of his time and would get him no closer to returning home.

It took him a couple of seconds to register the sound of a voice, but as soon as he did, he perked up with a quick twitch of his ears. "Huh," he breathed out at first, but as his eyes settled upon the other Octoling his confusion quickly faded away. It wasn't just any Octoling either. It was Agent 8. It had been some time since he had last seen her. He really needed to try and get better at keeping up with people. That was a concern for another day though. Allowing a sheepish smile to cross his face, Fumihiro cupped a hand over the back of his neck and let an awkward chuckle escape his lips. "Oh, hey there Otome. Long time no see." Looking past her for a moment, he spotted the monk that she had been with and he cocked his head. Never before had he seen anything like him before. It certainly piqued his interest, though he didn't mention it. He would have his time to ask what the other was. Was it possible that he was a human? From his limited knowledge on the species, he felt doubtful on his assumption. It almost appeared as a robot of sorts. Either way he planned on asking questions once he was closer.

Turning his attention back to the other Octoling, Hiro dropped his hand from his neck and gave a light shrug of his shoulders. "I don't know what I am doing here to tell you the truth," he replied with a frown. Perhaps she knew what this place was if she was surprised to see him here. "You wouldn't happen to know what this place is, would you?" He was hopeful that she would have an answer for him. Maybe this was the place she had been trapped in before. He had heard the stories of her adventures, though he could never pinpoint the actual location she had been in. If this was that place then it was possible they were close to Inkopolis. Part of him seemed to doubt that though. He couldn't recall there being a beach all that close to the city. The only beachy area he actually knew was near where Manta Maria was docked and he was sure they weren't anywhere near that. He would have known the area right away if that were the case. "Also, who's your friend over there? I've never seen anyone like that around Inkopolis."

Saber - Female - Straight - Fate/Stay Night - Heroic Spirit - Location: Forest - Tags: Hajime + Midna

As Hajime and then Midna began to speak again, Saber glared at Hajime silently. He and Midna were clearly not getting along. In fact, the knight could sense the immense amount of dislike being bottled up in them. She clenched one of her fists, eyebrows twitching. I thought I told you two not to fight. I'll have to talk to him later about our team efforts. At least the imp seemed to be trying a bit harder to not be downright offensive. She seemed to have applied a slightly nicer tone, though she did seem to be quite aloof. Knowing my luck, she was probably royalty or a noble in her world. When Midna was finished talking, Saber decided she was going to answer her first to avoid any extra conflict. She didn't really worry about her relationship with Hajime now, as he seemed to be agreeable enough. If you weren't rude as hell to him, of course...

"I can certainly see why anyone wouldn't want to go against you in a fight," Saber said to Midna. She's way too disagreeable to fight. At least I don't actively show it unlike someone, she added in her thoughts. "However, in what way do we need to supposedly prove ourselves worthy of help from you?" She didn't know what exactly the imp could do, but she was guessing that Midna could take care of herself somehow. She had a hunch that all the people here had some skill that could help them find a way to escape or coax some answers out of others. Considering that most mythical creatures she had heard about in fairy tales before were considerably powerful, the imp would most likely be no exception to that rule. She turned away from Midna and focused herself back on Hajime, who was dipping his head in apology. She waved her hand dismissively. "There's no need to apologize; you can keep your head up. I shouldn't have tried to pry into your past. Anyway, I believe I've been here for around half a day. I got tired of scouring the forest for other people, so I decided to make a little hut here so I'd at least have a little bit of shelter. I suppose there have been some strange things...Once I thought I heard voices, but I just decided I was being paranoid. It might've actually happened, now that I know I'm not the only one on this island." She gestured to Midna and Hajime. "I have the proof right in front of me. For the record, I think we should make sure to stay alert, though I don't think this is going to be like one of those 'Killing Games' you speak of as we aren't being forced to kill each other. This most likely isn't a coincidence, either. We were clearly brought here for a reason, so we just have to figure out what that reason is."

Mirai Kuriyama ➳ Female ➳ Sixteen ➳ Bisexual ➳ Human w/ hemokinesis ➳ Tags: Rei

Mirai scoffed, fighting the urge to roll her eyes, and instead settling for crossing her arms over her chest. "How was I supposed to know that you were planning on giving them back? Imagine if a stranger walked up to you and suddenly snatched something off of your body, would you not think that they were planning on stealing whatever it was that they took?" She asked, an annoyed tone to her voice that she didn't bother trying to hide. Her golden eyes narrowed in on the girls hands, watching with thinly veiled curiosity as her hands ran through the incredibly soft looking fur of one of her tails. Mirai figured it was probably the same one she'd pulled on earlier, and she felt a small twinge of guilt run through her. Had she hurt her tail that badly? The girls face didn't seem to give away any hints towards how she was feeling, other than the obvious dislike towards her, of course. "We must come from different parts of the world then, obviously." Mirai then replied, taking a moment to survey the area again before refocusing on the girl. Truth be told, the word Nippon sounded extremely familiar to her, but for the life of her she couldn't figure out why. She really didn't dwell on the matter for long, especially when she heard what the girl had to say next. She smelled of blood? Overpoweringly? Well, that wasn't nice to know, although she wasn't all that surprised. Maybe it was because she was still on edge? Still mere seconds away from calling on her blood ability if it looked like this girl might decide to attack? She appreciated the fact that the girl didn't ask her about it, but at the same time she felt more than a little bit confused as to why she didn't. Who smells an overwhelming smell of blood on someone and doesn't ask? Then again, it is a kind of odd question to ask someone.

Shaking the thoughts from her head, she focused on what the girl was currently saying. She felt the tiniest bubble of hope building up inside of her when the girl didn't automatically shoot down her question, but it was short lived, and she couldn't help the sigh that slipped past her lips when she found out that the girl wasn't a native. Nihon? As soon as the word left the girls lips, Mirai felt her cheeks heat up in an embarrassed blush. No wonder why the word Nippon was so familiar to her! The girl was from Japan! She felt like a complete idiot now. Granted, Japanese wasn't her native language, but she knew enough that the word Nippon should've been obvious, so she was more than a little ashamed of herself for not recognizing it right away. She was so focused on the fact that she'd forgotten such a obvious thing, that she very nearly missed the rest of the girls sentence. "Wait, what?" Mirai dumbly blurted, her eyes widening slightly as she mentally repeated what the girl, who she now knew was named Rei, had just said. "You're a fox? Who can change into a human..ish form? How is that even possible? And you're how old? A little over four hundred? Is this some sort of joke? You look around the same age as me, sixteen, maybe even younger!" Mirai said, really not meaning to blurt out so many questions, but she really couldn't believe a word of what this girl, Rei, was saying. "And you're from Japan? I live in Japan! How have I never encountered someone like you before? Are there more of your kind?" She continued to fire off question after question, hardly leaving room in between each to take in a breath of air. Suddenly realizing that she'd yet to introduce herself, she forced herself to bite back all the other questions she had bouncing around in her mind, and lifted her gaze to properly meet Rei's. "Ah, sorry! Its just that I've never met someone like you before! You're very interesting. My name's Mirai Kuriyama, you can call me either name." She said, not really sure if she should offer her hand for Rei to shake, considering they didn't really seem on good terms with one another, but she did it anyways and hoped for the best.

ᴋᴀᴇᴅᴇ ᴀᴋᴀᴍᴀᴛsᴜ
Female - 16 - Danganronpa V3 - Form - Location: Forest - Tagged: Landon Reynolds, Clover

Kaede watched as the pair of large white wings retracted against Landon's back and disappeared from view, silently marveling at his abilities for what might be the hundredth time this day. For a fleeting moment, her mind wandered back to all those other figures she saw on the beach right after her awakening. Did they all have the same sort of abilities as Landon and Clover? Was she literally the only one in this place with nothing but the ability to play the piano extremely well? Then, suddenly, a thought struck her. What if that wasn't the only thing she could actually do? What if she was summoned here for a reason, and she had powers of some sort that she hadn't yet discovered? Her imagination running wild, she wondered what it was. Breathing fire, or maybe she could have magical musical powers that could tame savage beasts? An amused smile crossed her lips at the thought, and she reined back a giggle. Those were all absurd and silly thoughts, but she was free to dream. Not that she actually believed in any of that. Try as she might, she couldn't picture herself as anything other than Kaede Akamatsu- a completely normal Japanese girl with a talent for playing the piano. There was no way she could be someone like Landon or Clover. Trailing behind the two males, she kept a lookout at her surroundings for potential threats. Despite her optimistic nature, she knew that danger could still be lurking anywhere. Even if she believed that Landon and Clover combined could take on any threat, it was better to avoid combat as soon as there were signs of it. She certainly did not feel like Landon was fit enough to fight another battle, no matter what he might say or what he looked like. Looking at Clover as he carefully inspected the plants, she felt more admiration for the man. He looked like he knew exactly what he was doing- something that Kaede had tried to emulate at her time in the Ultimate Academy and felt like she failed at. "Um... Well, anything goes for me," she said, with a shrug, in response to Clover's question. Turning her head to Landon, she tilted it a bit in a quizzical manner. "What do you think, Landon? Which would be easier to do?" she asked.

Watching as Clover proceeded to bend down next to a bush and pick the berries, she made careful note of how those berries looked like. Kaede wasn't too familiar with lots of plants, but she trusted Clover enough to believe that he knew what he was doing and these were edible berries. Looking in awe as the well-built man proceeded to encase those small berries into a magical bubble, she jolted slightly in shock when Clover handed it to her. "Ah, me? Umm... O-okay!" she stuttered slightly, before extending her hands to take the bubble. Gingerly putting her hands on the fragile-looking surface of the magical bubble, it felt strangely smooth and elastic underneath her fingers. Pulling the bubble away from Clover's palms, she cradled it between her nimble fingers, afraid that it might break and spill all of the hard-earned berries. "Okay... I think I got this?" she said, after a few seconds of holding it without popping it.

Female - 18-ish? - Kingdom Hearts - Form - Location: Chief's Hut - Tagged: Rin Okumura

They. The chief had said that word with a foreboding tone, as if there was something unpleasant about the people he was referring to. It sent a chill down Aqua's spine, though she betrayed no sign of fear. Her mouth was set into a grim line. This situation was more dangerous than she had thought, and she needed to tread carefully. The girl wanted to ask who the "they" that the chief mentioned were, but looking into the humanoid's eyes, she felt like he wouldn't tell them even if she did. There was an edge to his voice, as if merely speaking of them was making him anxious. It was highly unlikely that he would elaborate further. Aqua certainly did not want to find out what could be coming after them the hard way, but whatever it was, they had to be ready. Her blue gaze rested on her comrade, looking more serious than she'd seen him in the past few hours they'd been together. She knew that he, too, had realized the gravity of the situation. This was bigger than the two of them. Could they actually handle this on their own? Aqua had been so used to doing things mostly by herself, that the thought of it being out of her hands felt a little alien to her. She had often been overwhelmed, true, but she had always persevered on her own. Was it perhaps the time to call for aid? As Rin spoke up, she let her gaze travel back onto the chief. An apologetic look was on his face as he solemnly nodded in response to the half-demon's question. It certainly wasn't going to be easy, but Aqua wasn't going to complain about it. That wouldn't do anyone any good. The only thing they could do now was prepare for the worst. The short-haired girl nodded at Rin's words. There didn't seem to be any more information she could get out of the chief, secretive as he was being. Bowing once more to the chief, she said, "That should be enough for now. Thank you for your generosity, Great Chief, and we apologize for the intrusion." Her tone was humble and grateful, and she let herself stay in that position for a few seconds before straightening up and looking towards Rin. "I guess we know our next course of action," she told him.

Midna - Female - Imp - Location: Forest -Tags: Hajime, Saber
Midna was relieved that they didn't argue back this time. Saber replied that she could see why no one would want to go up against her in a fight. Midna didn't quite believe that Saber did, but maybe she'd had some sort of insight. Midna mentioned nothing. Saber and Hajime kept going on about a "killing game" or something. It certainly nothing Midna could relate with. She relayed the message from her mind, "What if you got the whole idea wrong? I have certainly never been in a sort of Killing Game myself. That could mean that it isn't Killing game based, you know. Besides if the goal of this place was to kill people off, it could have done a better job setting us up to fight. It seems more like a paradise, except it's way too bright here." The sun was not hotter than usual, it was just so much brighter in general, compared to the amount of light they had in the Twilight Realm. Then she mumbled, "And paradises shouldn't mess up your life, again." She clenched her hands into fists. What had she done to deserve this? She'd helped save Hyrule! And these people, Saber and Hajime, didn't understand her, and they didn't seem to be getting anywhere with their theories. She just wanted to punch something! The more she held back her complete anger, the more she wanted to let it out. She turned away, so she didn't end up punching them. The only people she had met on the island, if they fought against her, then again, she'd be alone on the island. Why did her return to the Twilight Realm depend on these jerks?!

Rutile Twins - Sexless - Gem - "Right Twin" - "Left Twin" - Location: Field -Tags:
"Run." left decided. Right nodded and they made their way out of the forest pretty quickly after that. It wasn't long before thy reached a large, tall-grassed field. They didn't know what the grass was either, but surely less could ambush them there. The grass rose to their thighs, and if they had sat down, probably their shoulders as well. It was quiet in the field, except for the rustling of the grass when the twins walked through it. Yet even the field was unpredictable. Their foot caught on some intertwined blades of grass, and tripped them for the second time today. They fell, not expecting it, landing with an "aahhhh!!" from both twins. "Not again.." right whined as they turned themselves around, so they could sit. They decided it was better to not walk for a while, lest they be tripped again. The grass seemed so tall from down here. Their heads only just stuck out. It was quite interesting. They grabbed a strand of gras and examined it, then began to mess around with it.

mirath lotr elf somewhere in the forest with cassian
───────────────────────────

The fight—much to Mirath's disappointment—didn't last long. The elf lithely dropped from his perch and landed soundlessly on the ground. "Well, that was certainly entertaining." He drawled, resting his back against the tree trunk. He studied Cassian, taking in the winged man's troubled expression. "Friend of yours? Old enemy?" The elf smirked, tilting his head in curiousity. He made sure to keep his distance; the man had just shown a considerable amount of power, and Mirath wasn't ready to find himself on the receiving end of the glass bow. Also, magic was still roiling through the clearing. It made his hair stand on end and tingled his nerves.

Whatever forces governed this place were strong, and the magic's taste was still too akin to a dark sorcerer's magic for Mirath's comfort. Hostility had flooded from the silent mirage like a suffocating tide. Of course, the elf was sure not to show his discomfort to his companion.

markus d:bh somewhere in the forest with flash/venom
───────────────────────────

Markus stiffened as the thing—Venom, Flash had said—approached him and ran a salivating tongue down his bare plating. The sensation felt undeniably weird; his sensors pinged wildly, and warnings and alerts kept obscuring his vision. Forcing himself to keep from shying away from the creature was difficult. The android focused on Flash, slowly processing the kid's words. "Wait..." He started, casting another glance at Venom. "From where you come from? What do you mean?" Flash didn't have people like him? Androids? Markus knew that not all parts of the world had androids—at least not before the revolution—but the entire world was aware of them. With the constant influx of social media, it was impossible not to. There was only one possible answer to what Flash meant, and the mere possibility of it sent made a coil of dread squeeze his synthetic lungs.

Of course, Markus was... curious... about Venom, but that could wait. The only thing his mind could focus on was the blaring possibility that he wasn't even in his own world anymore. It was impossible, improbable, and completely insane. If Markus still had his LED in his temple, the biocomponent would be stuck on an ugly red. Faintly, the android was aware that his synthetic breathing had stopped, and that he had frozen with Venom still licking his plating. Markus took a shuddering step back away from the thing's reach. His organic skin slid back into place, and he flicked his heterochromatic eyes to the ground; his processors were whirling, and thoughts were flying through his head at a mile a minute.

Every possible outcome he could find pointed to him no longer being where he thought he was, but that was wrong. That wasn't possible. The world didn't work like that. That was magic—something the humans believed in. Magic wasn't real.

Giving a small dip of his head as Aqua bowed, Rin stayed in that position for a moment before turning to his comrade as she spoke. She was right. They now knew what they had to do and they knew they would have to be careful while doing so. Clearly whatever the temple had was important and if the real enemy was aware of that then he figured that was probably what would be waiting to contest them. It might even give them more of an idea of what they truly were up against. Whatever it was it seemed like it was enough to make the natives as concerned as this. He really couldn't blame them. They probably lived in fear of whoever was in control. That was why they needed to put an end to it all. Nobody should be forced to living in fear. He knew exactly how something like that was, though his own fear stemmed from who he was and not from some outside force. No matter what, he still lived in fear almost every day. He feared hurting his friends and losing himself. It was a lot to carry with him so he could only imagine the kind of fear that came with being burdened by an outside source. There'd be the constant threat of losing family and friends or even something worse. Was that what the chief was fearing? It was possible that they were always being watched in some sense which was why he couldn't speak much. He'd have to keep that in mind.

'Well, we should probably get moving then," he finally said as he took a step toward the exit. That's when he felt as if something had come over him. It was a strange feeling of justice. It abruptly caused him to stop and look back over his shoulder at the chief. A look of confidence shone in the half demon's eyes before he spoke up again, "Great Chief, you don't have to worry any longer. We're going to free you and your people from whatever is holding you down. I promise that." He didn't know where it had come from all the sudden, but he stood behind his words. Proving himself to others was all he could ever do to show that he was no danger and now was no difference. He would prove to them that he could save them. Sure the task seemed like it would be more than what him and Aqua could handle together, but he wouldn't let that get him down. If they truly had been brought here to save this place then he would do what he could to fulfill that duty.

Taking in Saber's answer to his question, Hajime gave a small nod of his head. It wasn't much, but it was useful information for sure. It hinted at the possibility of there being others. Shifting his focus to her next statement, he felt as if she had misunderstood what he had been getting at. The same went for Midna as she spoke up. He only had mentioned it because he found it strange that the island was quite similar to the one he had been trapped on previously. "Like I said, it's just something to keep in mind. I wasn't claiming that this is a killing game," he remarked, deciding to go no further on the topic. He'd keep it at that and move on. "And maybe at one point this place was paradise. If I recall that dream I had before waking up here, the island was quite different. In comparison this version is quite dark and gloomy. Now that could simply be because of the weather, but I still find that strange as well." Besides, he knew paradise could be deceiving. Jabberwock Island had been the same way, but it seemed that even making comparisons between his "home" and this place was useless. Drawing similarities between the two clearly meant nothing to anyone but him. Maybe he was overthinking the whole thing, but he couldn't help but be worried about it all. How else was he supposed to react? Even though he was positive this wasn't a game, he figured it was still dangerous.

Slumping his shoulders back, Hajime let a soft sigh of defeat escape his lips. This entire situation was only making him too tense for his own good. Just relax. If I can survive the Killing Game, I can figure out what is going on here. The sooner I do, the sooner I can go home and get back to trying to figure out how to bring the others from their comas, he thought. That was what he had to keep in mind. Turning away from the two, he cast his gaze off into the forest in silence allowing himself to take in the noises of the area. There wasn't much. He could hear the occasional chirping of birds but beyond that it was mostly silent. In a way it was almost peaceful to take it in and it soothed him for the time being. "Well, if we are planning on searching the forest then perhaps we should get moving," he suggested. As he spoke, he glanced over his shoulder hoping there weren't be some kind of argument over it. Maybe getting moving would help him clear his mind even more. The least it could do was loosen up his body. The longer he stood, the more tense he could feel himself becoming which certainly couldn't be good. "It's the only way we're going to get any answers at this point." Once the words escaped his lips, he averted his gaze once more.

Saber - Female - Straight - Fate/Stay Night - Heroic Spirit - Location: Forest - Tags: Hajime + Midna

"It is possible that we've gotten this all wrong, but if this was truly meant to be a paradise, then why does the island seem so...sinister? From what people in my time have told me, when something looks like a paradise or a perfect utopia, it normally isn't. This is clearly not the paradise we were hoping for and even dreaming about. This island might look exactly like the one in our dreams, but that was just an illusion. What we need to do is get to the bottom of this." Midna looked like she was going to punch something, and even Saber was trying hard to keep her cool at this point. We don't have time to waste!!! Why doesn't she get it? No matter how much she and Hajime tried, the imp just countered all of their ideas. In fact, the knight was beginning to think that Midna didn't want to get off of this island for some reason or she just didn't want help doing so. So what does she want from us? Saber pondered as the boy spoke next. "Good idea. We should stop wasting time arguing with each other here and do what we're supposed to be doing." She gestured vaguely to the west. "Although I haven't searched behind every bush, shrub, and tree, I'm 99 percent certain that there's no one in that direction. We should be able to rule out the areas that you two came from, which leaves..."
