"It's just nice that it's over." Hopefully none of the other monsters here weren't any stronger than the ones they had just taken down, or it would became a serious issue. "In Alrest, weather does influence creature behaviour. It's not so far fetched that it happens here too. But the appearance of these creatures does nothing to explain just what's going on here, though..." As far as she knew, there were no healers here. There was no one to heal any injuries if she ever slipped up. She'd wish that she could regenerate like she was able to five centuries ago. But keeping that ability would have meant she'd never have become Rex's Blade and met people like Nia, Morag and Tora.
"I'll be counting on you in the future, all right?" Pyra was surprised to see Explo mimic what looked like a smile. She returned it with a wide smile to match. It was fascinating that these Pokémon could learn from humans. They reminded her of Titans with their intelligence. Titans behaved a little differently, but they could be trained to serve as the foundation for ships. Pyra was surprised to see Explo approach her in the same way he did to Gold earlier. From how Gold had described the gesture, it seemed like something that he only did for people he trusted greatly. It was touching, but why would Explo show her this trust after only knowing her for less than hour or so? Pyra delicately stroked his head with the back of her fingers. "You're welcome."

"Ooh, humans use it too? And she can conjure it whenever? So humans aren't as primitive as they seem..." The way many researchers spoke of humans, they made them look to be primitive in comparison. "What else can humans do?" Though she had only seen one item of human origin, it was impossible to examine now as Pearl had completely levelled the thing with just her voice and a giant megaphone. And there was also the fact that she NEVER wanted to see that thing again. She still had nightmares about an insane AI built like a phone and almost being blended into sludge. Otome was scrolling through her list of music when she looked up briefly to see a familiar figure farther down the beach. It wasn't unique to any one person, but was definitely unique to an Octoling or Inkling. As she neared, she could determine that the figure was an Octoling from the rounded ears.
"Hey!" Otome temporarily forgot about humans and the omnic monk as she started to run towards the Octoling while waving eagerly. She was always happy to see an Octoling. Inklings were still somewhat wary of her despite the fact that she was friends with Pearl and Marina. "Hiro?!" She was close enough now to make out the figure's face and clothes clearly. "Over here! It's me, Otome!" When he had first come to Inkoplis, Otome had helped him find a place to stay and showed him around all the gear shops. He had become pretty good in turf war matches as well as ranked battles. She had seen him around every now and then, but they didn't speak much. That didn't mean she wasn't happy to see at least one person she knew. "What are you doing here?"
