Brief Cabin Descriptions

Zeus' children have command over the domain of heaven as their father is lord of the sky. Born to one of the Big Three, they are more powerful than normal demigods. In addition to natural leadership ability, they are known to possess great bravery and strength. They also have Electrokinesis and Aerokinesis, the latter ability can be used to fly with practice.

Poseidon's children are stronger than most demigods as their father is one of the Big Three. Most of them have power over his domain with the capacity to generate earthquakes and hurricanes and control and create water. They can also communicate telepathically with equine and sea creatures since Poseidon created horses. They also have limited control over ice and cold.

Demeter's children are altruistic and passive half-bloods. Demigods of agriculture, they are diligent workers and naturally have a green thumb. They can manipulate crops among other forms of flora. Most of Demeter's children can do a little more than make crops grow and keep bacterial fungi at bay, while others have much larger degrees of ability, such as being able to summon Karpoi and sensing the growth of plants.

The children of Ares are more aggressive and martial than most demigods. As offspring of the war god, they have incredible martial abilities with an extensive knowledge of combat, as well as, superior strength and overall physical prowess. Some are even given a blessing of invincibility by their father for their bold courage and righteous wrath in battle.

Although she is a virgin goddess, Athena conceives offspring through a meeting of minds with her lovers. Demigods of war and wisdom, Athena's children excel in intellectual pursuits, and have exceptional skill in warfare, particularly strategy. Children of Athena are masters at invention and strategy and have a high knowledge and skill with weaponry.

Apollo's children are superior archers, healers, and musicians. They are additionally shown to be able to afflict others with curses such as rhymed speech due to their father's position as the god of poetry. In ancient times, many of Apollo's children were blessed with foresight. Some descendants of Apollo, like Halcyon Green and Octavian, can interpret the will of the gods, while others like William Shakespeare have become famed poets.

Artemis has no children as she swore to remain a maiden. However, she does have a group called the Hunters of Artemis who occasionally visit Camp Half-Blood. The Hunters of Artemis are immortal unless they die in combat or break their vows to swear off love of any kind. They have great archery skills like Artemis and are also skilled in using two knives. The Hunters are also stronger, faster, and more durable than normal demigods. They can also talk with wolves and other hunting animals.

Like their father, children of Hephaestus are greatly skilled builders and craftsmen. Their talent as engineers are second to none and they can instinctively detect, identify, and operate any piece of machinery. In rare cases, they are blessed with the ability to create and control fire.

Aphrodite's children are more attractive and have subtle powers compared to other demigods. With their mother being the goddess of beauty and love, they are natural experts in fashion and matchmaking with control over jewelry and makeup as well as skill in love magic. They also seem to have a greater clarity and sharper focus than most demigods, though many lack interest in fighting compared to other demigods. They have the same affinity for French, the language of love, as all demigods do for Greek or Latin. Some are even able to influence others with the strength of their voices using Charmspeak.

Children of Hermes are more cunning and nimble than other demigods. Because Hermes is the god of dexterity, his children are considered to be very versatile in any skill. In particular they excel in athletics as well as business and thievery, being able to magically sense and pick locks.

The powers of Dionysus' children are connected to those of Demeter's children. They promote the growth of vegetation (such as vines), especially wine grapes. Furthermore, they are able to both cause and cure insanity, as their father is the god of madness.

The power of Hades' children is greater than most demigods due to their father's status as one of the Big Three. As demigods of the Underworld, they have control over all that is subject to his kingdom beneath the earth. In particular, their geokinetic abilities surpass those of Poseidon's children. They can also have control of gems because they are beneath the earth. Children of Hades are some of the only demigods able to control and raise the dead. They can also control and manipulate bones as well as have limited control over cold.

Even though they do not have extraordinary powers, the children of Iris are exceptionally skilled as artists and communicators. Some children of Iris may be able to manipulate light or rainbows as Iris is the goddess of rainbows. Some, if not all, may be able to move at high speeds.

The children of Hypnos are powerful yet underestimated demigods, possessing an intimate control and knowledge of their father's domain and the metaphysical world respectively.

Nemesis' children have no known powers but they are loyal to their allies and merciless to their enemies. Like their mother, they have a strong sense of justice and balance. Nemesis' children never forget an insult and believe people that are full of themselves should be brought down.

Nike's children are highly competitive and intensely driven, causing them to excel as both athletes and fighters. They most probably win in things that rely on luck as their mother is the goddess of victory.

Tyche's children love games of chance. It is not advisable to bet against them as they have an uncanny ability of winning when it seems unlikely. Only very few of them are able to manipulate luck.

Hecate's children are powerful demigods and are the only demigods who can truly cast magic. They are able to utilize all ranges of magic, sorcery, and witchcraft, and control the Mist. Some, if not all, may have the power of necromancy. Like their mother, their magic is strongest at night and weak during the day.Like Iris' children, Hebe's children do not have any incredible powers but they do possess a youthful appearance and are noted for being exceptional social workers. Hebe's children can control and manipulate youth.

Plot Details

This roleplay takes place in the modern day Camp Half Blood and the Oracle of Delphi has revealed a new prophecy. The story starts after three new half-bloods arrive at camp (the story doesn't revolve around them though) and this marks the time of which someone on the inside (or maybe more than one? Who knows...) summons monsters into camp. Due to the quantity of monsters, the campers are all forced to flee with those still alive and remain out of the camp until they can get back. The last line says that the campers cannot return until whomever is responsible is presumably gone, maybe destroyed, which means that they occupy the camp.

These are the roles for the roleplay in terms of plot, all you need to do is pm me about which character would fall under what category and you're good to go. For the sakes of the plot, don't reveal which category you character(s) fall under until the monster attack. I would like it to be a surprise/mystery as to where allegiances lie :D

Sarah laid in the grass, the warm summer sun making her sweat. The gray wolf beside her was panting, breaking the silence of the forest. So, enjoying camp so far? the wolf asked. Yea, though I haven't talked to most of the people here yet, and I'm alone in my cabin. Sarah had arrived just the week before, not really connecting to any of the campers and preferring to speak to the wildlife instead. She held a blade of grass in her hand, concentrating, as blue sparkles crackled and engulfed it and... nothing. Again. Having a hard time? Tell me about it. Sarah sighed. Everyone underestimates minor demigods, even though they usually have cooler powers. If only I could use them right! She threw the blade of grass down in frustration, as the blue light engulfed it once more. She picked it back up to see it had transformed into a small blue flower. She was elated, but she sighed. Her mother, Circe, was a magic goddess who specialized in transformation magic. Sarah had inherited this affinity, but only showed it in the most impromptu of moments, usually when scared or mad. This usually leads to a bully growing fur or herself gaining a tail. Thank the gods these mistakes are usually covered up by the mist. She could also talk to animals, weirdly enough, but she shrugged it off. She had always practiced on inanimate objects or plants- she had never been able to transform an animal, at least not fully. She got up and headed back to camp. See you later, she said, walking away.

Despite waking up early that morning, Renee felt completely awake and ready to get stuff done. She had been at the arena earlier to spar with some of the other campers. There were many worthy opponents here, but she couldn't help but try and surpass most of them.

Focusing on the task at hand, Renee made her way to the climbing wall and prepared to start making her way to the top. Gripping onto one of the handholds, she began ascending up the wall while listening to the faint sounds of campers waking up.

Jasper breathed out slowly, holding his harpoon up, level with his eyes, so that he could see exactly where he was aiming. He remained silent, as he very slightly adjusted his position. He much preferred this long-range method of attack, rather than getting himself dirty with a sword, and it made sneaking around and stealth attacks much easier. He could have had a bow and arrow, but this... well, it was what was granted to him, and he considered it better than a simple bow and arrow anyway. Finally, he took the shot, the bolt from the harpoon landing right where Jasper wanted it to go - in the centre of the target, which had been imprinted onto a bag of sand. Sand started to pour from the hole that had been made, and Jasper went to go and retrieve the bolt.

Aeron was underneath a tree, one with fairly low-hanging branches. However, they were - very unusually - not bouncing around it, or attempting to climb it as quickly as they could. Instead, they were, for once, quite still. This was because Aeron had fallen asleep, curled up under the tree, tiny twigs already getting picked up from the ground and getting stuck in their hair. There wasn't any real reason as to why Aeron was sleeping - they had just wanted to take a nap, so take a nap Aeron did, even though it was still fairly early, but they had been awake for a couple of hours beforehand. It wasn't even as if they'd had a particularly rigorous training session or anything, they just felt like now was the prime time to sleep for a little bit.

Ryver sighed as she stared up at the ceiling of the Poseidon cabin. She knew she needed to get up to start her day, but she was comfortable. She didn't sleep much the night before, although she didn't know why. She slowly rolled out, heading to the bathroom to brush her teeth. Once she did so, she washed her face and headed back to her area, grabbing a sea-green t-shirt, a black leather jacket, jeans, and black Chuck Taylors, making sure her necklace around her neck. She took one look in the mirror after brushing her hair before heading to the dining pavilion. As she walked, she watched the other campers going about their day and finishing up their cabins for inspection. When she reached the dining pavilion, she grabbed her plate, made her sacrifice, then sat down, beginning to eat her breakfast. She would go to the ocean and train after breakfast, she decided.

As per being the child of Apollo, Jacob was up the minute the sun was beginning to rise. He had already started writing a song before he decided to get dressed and head to the arena. He put on a yellow t-shirt, jeans, and some black sneakers. Satisfied with brushing his teeth and running a hand through his hair, he made sure his favorite arrow was in its hold in his sleeve, grabbing his quiver and bow before heading out. He walked along the trail, watching as the sun started to light the sky. It was early morning, probably only about 6:30am when he headed to the arena. He finally got to the arena, seeing a few others. Notching an arrow, he walked over to some unoccupied dummies, letting the arrow go.

Philomela was sitting on her bed, knees pulled to her chest as she was examining the sword Okeanos had given her all those years ago. It was a while ago, but to her, it felt like just yesterday. She could still see him lying on the ground, dying as he told her he loved her and handed her the sword. Sighing, she sheathed the sword and rolled out of bed. She had been awake for some time, seeing as her pet wolf, Luna Cadence, woke her up as usual per orders of Artemis, but as usual, she was lost in her thoughts for quite some time. She got dressed in her usual hunter's outfit, her circlet on her head to differentiate her as the lieutenant. Shouldering her bow and quiver, she headed to the dining pavilion to eat breakfast, glaring at any boy that dared glance at her along the way.

The son of Hades walked away from the dining pavilion right after he finished his breakfast. He rushed to get away from the crowded place and into the forest. The landscape around Gene was quiet except for the occasional rustle of leaves and distant cries of training demigods. After the dark-haired boy was a good distance away, he sighed in relief. Finally, some time alone. Better get the most of it before I have to get back.

Gene continued strolling around the woods, humming some tune to himself. His right hand kept near his obsidian black dagger (which could change into a sycthe when needed), just in case a roaming monster attacked. He smiled to himself as he created a skeletal creature and stroked its bony head.

"Wanna play some fetch?" Gene asked the creature, who wagged its tail. Dark hair covered the boy's face as he bend down to pick up a random stick. "You ready?" He questioned, receiving some sort of bark as an answer. Gene threw the stick a couple of feet away and watched as the creature ran after it.

Eventually reaching the top, Renee took a glance over her shoulder at the aerial view of the camp before beginning her descent. When she had first awoken earlier, she didn't think about breakfast but now it seemed like a good idea. It was an "ancient" habit of hers' to get stuff done without eating breakfast first, some form of early bird syndrome.

Departing from the grounds that hosted the climbing wall, she navigated back to the cabins and proceeded to the mess hall from there. Sitting down at the table for Cabin Five, Renee glanced around at other occupants of the dining area while eating.

Strolling up and down the rows of plants, Cassie gradually filled a basket with the round, red strawberries with the faint sound of reed pipes in the distance. She had already been at the mess hall earlier, and was now just passing the time from a lack of anything else to do at the moment. While she could assist in the plant growth at the moment, it seemed like to much energy to use this early in the day. Besides, the satyrs were already performing that task with their "nature music".
