Hysan wondered the castle's hallways, looking around. He passed several rooms, and only a few people. He didn't know them, but they all seemed just as confused as he with this world. The only difference was that Hysan was more intrigued than worried. He glanced around before noticing a woman who seemed to have cat ears... and what he assumed to be armor. Hysan approached her, quietly observing her. She seemed to have mechanical parts attached to her-- was she an android? No, she didn't seem to be. Even if she were made of Kartex, she was to realistic. Her skin was real. Hysan stopped in front of her, looking her up and down. If people like her were in this world, what else was here? She seemed lost, like Hysan, but was she trustworthy?

Hysan pressed a button on the Veil Collar, his appearance materializing in front of the woman. He remove the collar, looking to see what her reaction to him would be. He wasn't very worried, if she was stand-offish, he could handle it. If she acted like an intrigued Geminin, he could handle it. He had been able to handle Psy attacks on his ships, Neith's programming getting hacked into, Rho's near-death experience. And for Helios' sake, he was even able to handle himself being tied to an explosive before Mathias helped him deprogram the explosive. Hysan felt as if he were invincible, even if he wasn't. He was far from invincible, if he were to say so. "Hello, there." He said after a minute of being materialized into vision.

☠ All Hail the Mad King (2) || ❥ Science, not Magic (2)

Postby witchingdreamons » Fri Apr 20, 2018 4:41 am

☠ Ryan Haywood || Achievement Hunter || Tags ;; Shane Madej
    _________________________________
indent It took a lot to startle Ryan, and he wasn’t surprised someone else was there with them. Though he was worried about the whole crown thing. He chose not to say anything about it, as he didn’t deem is important. He gazed toward Shane, crossing his arms over his chest. Nothing seemed out of place about him other than the height difference, though that wasn’t something he needed to worry about. A couple of people he worked with had been taller than him so he wasn’t stunned at all. "Salutations." He responded, giving a wave as best he could with his crossed arms. "Stuck here too, huh? The name’s Ryan." He noticed the other man had coffee, though he wasn’t a fan of coffee himself, he couldn’t help but enjoy the smell of coffee this early in the morning, if it was early. He didn’t exactly have a sense of what time it was, but he could have guessed from where the sun sat, and it wasn’t too high in the sky. Ryan didn’t know if time worked different there either. He’d find out soon enough though.

indent "I wonder who brought us here." He sat on the window sill a bit, glancing out the window where his crown had come from. He marveled a bit at the reason of why his crown came from outside. Maybe it was about the warning. He wouldn’t want to be seen with it, however it was a bit of a weapon to him. Maybe he could find throwing knives or something in place of his crown. Wasn’t as beneficial, and they couldn’t telekinetically come back to him but it was safer than being seen with a crown due to the warning. Ryan wanted to play it safe after all. Deciding it would be better, he slipped his crown off and tied it to the belt he wore around his kilt. "Better to be safe than sorry. With the whole warning.." His voice seemed to trail off a bit, he looking toward Shane again.

indent He seemed to trust Shane a bit already. What kind of ill could the guy cause? Sure, he didn’t know the skill set of his flatmate but it couldn’t be something too out of the ordinary. Ryan didn’t want to assume anything yet though. A lot of things could be surprising, especially in an unfamiliar place like the one they were in. It did take a lot to get the Mad King off his feet, however, so there couldn’t be anything considered dangerous he couldn’t take down. Fighting was kind of like a game to him. He found the fun in causing others suffering in a fight, which one would call crazy, but it was amusing the the ill-minded King. After what happened in Achievement City, there was a lot about him that was lost. It was a little too silent for him at the moment, so he decided to break his thoughts and the silence. "I’m curious to why we’re here. It’s odd.. Like whoever brought us here knows a little too much about us."

♣ Varian || Tangled The Series || Tags ;; Izuku Midoriya

indent Varian seemed to jump as he heard the other boy speak, coming to an abrupt stop at the door. He hadn’t even realised someone else was in the room was with him, though it did explain the odd differences in the room. Turning, the alchemist leaned slightly against the door, looking toward the other male in the room. He looked like a similar age to himself, so maybe he should have been a little less on edge. He’d never seen this boy around Old Corona, though, and he didn’t exactly look like they were from the locale. It wasn’t a surprise that Varian didn’t trust Izuku immediately. Trust was usually hard for him to come by, really. However, it seemed like they were in the same situation, so maybe he could trust his roommate. It must have been obvious that Varian was tense, though, as Rudiger seemed to pat the alchemist’s cheek in a comforting way. He sighed quietly, raising a hand up to pet his raccoon, still tense but becoming a little less anxious. Rudiger usually made him less antsy.

indent "I.. Yeah. I’ve been awake for a while. I was going to explore a bit. To see if I could find any clue to why we’re here." He replied, moving his hand so it was gripping his arm. Varian had to admit; sure he was smart but he couldn’t exactly figure out why they were there. He pondered on the question for some time, while he was mixing together chemicals to make a smoke bomb or two. He hoped there was answers in the letter or in the room. But there wasn’t. Varian was disappointed he couldn’t find anything. Usually he found at least /something/ if he was in a situation like this. Gripping his arm a bit harder at the thought, the alchemist looked over to Rudiger for a moment. "Surely there’s got to be an answer to why we’re here." He seemed to mumble, glancing down at his feet for a moment. His raccoon reached a paw to his cheek, patting him again.

indent "I’m Varian, by the way." He didn’t even think about introducing himself at the time, as his thoughts were clouded by wanting to find an answer. Maybe he should take it one step at a time. Maybe this roommate could help. Making an acquaintance was a good idea. There was no use going at this alone if they were both in the same place. They were both around the same age too, which put Varian at a bit more ease. "I guess we’re going to be roommates, huh? If we’re going to be here a while that is.. I never really shared a room with anyone before. Something I’ll have to get used to." He chuckled lightly, giving a small smile. Better to be friendly if he wanted to make some allies in this place. He thought surely there had to be more than just them around. If he knew anything about any sort of kidnapping was that there was always more than one victim. If they were lucky, more than two. What wasn’t going to be lucky was that they were probably the only children around too, which would make putting a word into the conversation difficult. Probably.

Maeve // Paladins // Female // Tags: Nia, Hysan

Part of the room was dingy and dirty, with grey drapes over the windows on that side to block the light of the morning sun outside. The sole window on the side there, furthest from the door, was blocked with iron bars. The empty bed smelled strongly of cinnamon, and the covers on it were strewn about sloppily, as if whoever had once slept in it had not slept well. Missing from the bed, however, was it's "owner": She who had awoken there, was there no longer.

On top of the great, wooden dresser in the far and darkest corner, rested a pink haired girl, her legs splayed and her hands under her in a similar pose to a stalking cat. The message on the bedtable had been resting on a flask of whiskey, which currently rested on Maeve's hip. She had discarded the note upon reading it, although she had been surprised to see it had been written in Pantera, her native language.
The being with whom she shared a room had left the room a few moments prior, seeming not to realize Maeve's hiding place. Maeve could not tell the being's species, but knew the creature was clearly not human. Some kind of unnatural hybrid, perhaps? The being was talking to someone, although who, she couldn't tell, since one of them was out of her sight in the hall.

Deciding that it would make learning of this being's identity easier, Maeve decided that surprising her was key.
She lowered her head and the crystals on her magical longcoat glowed as she muttered a low and sweet:
"Goooodniiiiiiight."

She realized she hadn't even checked if her Ultimate was charged yet, and it may or may not have been. If her Ultimate was charged, it would leave anyone she chose (Nia and Hysan) shrouded in darkness for a minute or so, only able to see a few feet around. If her Ultimate was not charged... nothing would happen and the two would know of Maeve's presence. Maeve clutched a dagger sharply.

(Ploegy or Target, you can decide whether or not the Ultimate worked. It won't hurt Nia or Hysan)

Ash // Paladins // Female //Tags: Open

Ash gave little interest to the room in which she awoke. "Her" half of the room was completely bare, with only a plain grey dresser and a bed with grey covers. The pillow was dry, she noted, so she couldn't have been sleeping here long. It took her a few minutes to don her armour over her red and blue tunic and sling her weapon under her arm. Once she was armoured, she left the room, giving not a glance to the being in the other bed. She pushed the door open and glanced down the hallways. Down one way a strange looking girl and a boy were speaking the hallway. She thought she heard voices from further down the hallway, but chose not to care. The massive warrior glanced the other way, finding a staircase which led to lower floors. She moved to the stair case and looked down into the lobby far below. The building was fancy, and reminded her of a castle, a fact which caused he to miss her home in the Magistrate's Fort.

Quickly ruffling his hair in attempt to make himself more presentable, Izuku climbed out of bed as he listened to the other boy. It was surprising that he hadn't been awoken by Varian given how restless he had been, but maybe the boy had been surprisingly quiet. He could only assume that such was true and asking the other seemed pointless anyways. He was awake now and that was what mattered. All he could hope that he hadn't been watching him in his slight. From the way he had originally reacted to his voice, he felt that it was possible that he hadn't even noticed that there was another in the room. That small observation put the boy at ease as he walked to the end of the bed. His eyes scanned his side, noticing that his hero costume was hanging on the back of the closet door and his shoes are out as well. For now he figured the costume could wait. The loose white t-shirt and comfortable sweats he had been sleeping in were perfectly fine to wander about in.

"Right, there should be answers somewhere in this place," he finally responded as he began to slip his feet into his shoes. He wasn't sure how true that statement actually was, but he had to believe it. There had to be answers somewhere in this place. Even if they were direct answers the least they could do was try and look around for something helpful. Looking toward Varian again, he took note of the raccoon this time around and quirked a brow. It was odd to see someone with such a companion. Then again he couldn't say it was the weirdest thing he'd ever seen. Actually, he wasn't even sure he'd seen a raccoon back home; only read about them in books. Such creatures weren't common in the city. To be honest it was interesting to see one in person, though he figured he might as well keep his distance just in case it might attack him.

"I'm Izuku, but feel free to call me Deku if you'd like," the boy greeted, figuring it was about time that he gave his own introduction. If this was indeed his roommate then he needed to try and have a good first impression. The best way to do that was to try and appear as friendly as he could. Allowing a smile to cross his lips, he made his way across the room to join Varian at the door. To keep things comfortable, he left several feet between them. "And don't worry about that. I can't say I've ever had a roommate either so it's all new to me too. But since we're roommates, maybe we should stick together for a little bit. It might be our safest option." He wasn't sure if this boy would accept his proposal or not, but it was worth a shot.

      Nia
      ───────────────────────────────────
Unknown Female Xenoblade 2 Tagged: Hysan & Maeve

Stumbling backwards as the male appeared before her, Nia's eyes grew wide in surprise. Where had he come from? Even with the weird things back home she'd never seen someone simply appear before her as if they came out of nowhere. Sure Jin moved at superhuman speeds, but this was different. She hadn't even heard him coming like she would with Jin. If she had her twin rings on her she would have most definitely had them at his throat by now for simply scaring her, but she was weaponless. "Oi! What the hell do you think you're doing popping up like that?" she scolded with a soft growl. It wasn't unusual for her to act all rough and tough. Rex would have been the first to admit that she was always like this and the others would agree. It was just who she was. "You could get yourself attacked doing that kind of stuff, especially if I had a weapon on me at the moment."

Taking a moment to try and compose herself, the Gormotti girl gave a small flick of her ears. She should be thankful that he hadn't attacked her out of the blue. Then again, she didn't regret her greeting in the slightest. After everything that had happened back home she found it hard to relax. Just as she was about to speak to him once more, she found herself being distracted by a soft voice. She knew it wouldn't be audible to humans, but given her Gormotti ears, she heard far more than others did. A low growl rumbled in her throat, as she whipped around only to see a woman behind them. It appeared that she had been trying to do something, but whatever it was hadn't worked. Whatever it was supposed to be though was no laughing matter. For all she knew it could have been an attack and that put her in a sour mood. "You have to be bloody kidding me! Are ya trying to pick a fight?"

She really was in no mood to fight and without Dromarch, she really didn't want to have to fight. Without him her rings would be greatly weakened and would force her to reveal her own blade form far too soon. Taking note of the dagger in the woman's hand, Nia lifted her clawed hands just in cause she needed to defend herself.

Hysan frowned, seeing he had startled her. Perhaps he had gotten so used to people around him being used to people zipping in and out of sight? Hysan bowed deeply at the cat-woman. "My sincerest apologies, my lady." He said, and stood up right after a few seconds when he saw the cat girl whip around. That's when Hysan's vision went black. Though the girl seemed unfazed, it affected him. He clenched his teeth, what was this? Everything was dark around him, he couldn't see. It was like he had been sucked into a black hole. He could only see the hands in front of his face. Hysan gulped, staying calm. He should have stayed under his Veil. "Whoever caused my vision to go black please undo whatever you have done. Though I am rather intrigued, as something like this doesn't even appear in my world." Said Hysan, a toothy grin filling his face. He put his hands in his pockets, waiting patiently. Calmly. The cat-girl could see, it was obvious to Hysan. So why was it only him who had been affected?

Hysan felt as if he didn't know where to go, the Abyssthe he had put into his system causing him to see things in front of him. As if he were imagining things. Libra-- home, the cities that were encased in a tough bubble above the planet's clouds, gently bumping into one another every once in a while. Hysan was plunged into the sense of being in an Imaginarium-- a place created by Gemini. You put glasses on your head in order to see things that were formed from whatever your Imagination thought up of. The only way to keep you in reality was to remember the glasses on the bridge of your nose. Only-- this wasn't an Imaginarium, and he really could barely see a thing. Hysan took in deep breathes, keeping himself calm. He was trying to act normally.

shane madej - demon - male (he/him) - buzzfeed unsolved - location; room - tags; mad king ryan
A chuckle was let out when he heard the man introduce himself. Now, he wished Ry were here to see all this. If this was all real to begin with. "Ryan? That's funny. One of my best buds back home happens to also be named Ryan," He remarked. "I'm Shane." It was nice to see that he wasn't the only person who found themself here. Oddly, he was taking this entire situation rather calmly. Maybe it was because he's gone through worse things in his entire lifetime, or it was because he was trying to convince himself that this was some complex hallucination.

Shane watched as Ryan decided to hang his crown on his belt. He wanted to ask if he happened to be the one mentioned in the letter, but he seemed to be just as lost as he was. There were plenty of people out there that happened to be wearing crowns. What were the odds of him being stuck with whoever the letter warned him about? Shane decided that it was probably a good idea to stay on his good side. He had to agree that everything about this place was strange. The fact that everything on the side of his room seemed to be extremely fitting to his own comforts was unsettling. They even got his coffee right, of all things. "I was wondering about that also," He said as casual he could possibly be in this moment. He took a sip of his coffee. "I mean, this shouldn't be possible, right?"

He moved even closer towards Ryan to get a bit of the view outside. It seemed to be early in the day, judging from the position of the sun. Would time work normally here? Were they still even on Earth? Many questions ran through Shane's mind, but he shut his mouth, knowing that Ryan wouldn't be able to answer them. He turned his attention back to the man. "I like that little trick you did with the crown not too long ago," He commented. "I hope you won't mind if I ask you how you did it exactly?" So many things about Ryan stuck out to the demon. He was an interesting human, to say the least.

Postby witchingdreamons » Sat Apr 21, 2018 9:15 am

☠ Ryan Haywood || Achievement Hunter || Tags ;; Shane Madej
    _________________________________
indent “Pleasure to meet you Shane.” He responded, chuckling lightly, “I heard Ryan is a pretty common name. Ironically, it means ‘little king’. I’m a bit of a king myself where I come from.” He continued. If this was a castle they were in, it definitely wasn’t his, which could minimize the warning of the letter being on his head. There had to be other people who wore crowns around. Speaking of crowns, Ryan seemed to tune back in when Shane mentioned his. He wasn’t surprised that the other male saw him muster it up out of nowhere.

indent “Telekinetic connection.” Ryan answered simply. Even he couldn’t exactly explain it completely. “I’m sure if you’ve heard of Mjolnir, it’s something like that. However it’s not made of fictional metal. Plus, I don’t know if you have to be worthy to pick up my crown..” From what he remembered, he always picked up his crown with ease, throwing it around as if it were the lightest metal to exist. However, once, when his friends tried picking it up, they acted as if they were lifting weights. It was odd to him. Maybe it was just the same as the Norse God’s hammer. “It doubles as a weapon. I mostly use it as one if I have nothing else on hand. I was almost nervous I wouldn’t have access to it while being stuck here.”

indent He thought back at the comment of how where they were shouldn’t really be possible. Everything about his side of the room was fit for him perfectly. He glanced back at his side of the room, examining it closely. Maybe there was something there that could give him something to go off of. Getting off the window sill, he sauntered over to his side of the room, his gaze catching a particular picture on the bedside table. Picking it up, Ryan seemed to stare at it for a moment. It was a group photo of him and his friends back home. They were all so happy, it was heartwarming. He seemed to smile a bit, naming off each person in his head as he scanned over them. However, instead of reminiscing over a photo for too long, he set it back down and glanced back at Shane.

indent “Do you think they’d hide any hints to why we’re here or who brought us here in our room? It could be possible that the perfect room facade is hiding something.” If Ryan knew anything about situations like this, it was that hiding things in plain sight was easier when people seemed happy and clouded by trust and friendship. He was a manipulator after all. “All of these nice things could be a hoax, just to get on our good side.” Ryan didn’t exactly like being in a vulnerable position where he could fall for something like this, however he didn’t want to assume anything. Maybe this could all be real. Maybe the letter was lying. He had a lot of questions, and none of them had any clear answer.

♣ Varian || Tangled The Series || Tags ;; Izuku Midoriya
    ______________________________________
indent "Well.. It's nice to meet you, Deku.. Oh-! And this is Rudiger! He's my pet, and best friend." The alchemist motioned to the Raccoon on his shoulder, Rudiger making a chitter of sorts as a response. "I'd like to assume staying together is our safest bet.. Hopefully we can find something together." Varian was a bit optimistic, and a little more calm than he should have been in the situation, but there wasn't much use to him freaking out over something he could probably solve quickly. It just meant looking for clues. And with the help of someone else, he was hoping it was going to be much easier. "If we're in some sort of castle, there must be a lot of places to explore." He hadn't even thought of the size of the building they were in, and sure, he knew his way around castle halls, but everything from just the look of the room must be huge, and very expensive. Maybe if someone who worked there was walking around, he could use a truth serum to get answers. It was really that simple to him, but with the only truth serum test tube he had, he only had one chance.

indent Though, as Varian thought about it, he didn't exactly want to scare off his new acquaintance. Should he warn him of what he was capable of? He shook his head at the thought, huffing softly to himself. He didn't want anyone he didn't know to consider him dangerous already. Varian knew what he was capable of, and much more, but he didn't see himself as dangerous. He used science after all, and it was more predictable than any sort of magic. He really hated when people called alchemy magic. Anyway, what getting the truth through a serum going to be easy? Maybe he could somehow get his plan to work when Deku wasn't watching or something. He didn't exactly know the number of people around though; was he going to have a chance at doing what he wanted without being considered dangerous by a stranger? Varian seemed to get a little tense. Trust didn't matter too much, as long as he got what was important to him.

indent "Where do you think we should start looking first?" He suddenly pipped up, hopefully putting on a facade of things being okay for him, but in reality, he was worried, and a little fearful. He was in a place with strangers who possibly knew him, or didn't, and another possibility of being considered dangerous, and locked up again in some grungy dungeon. He didn't want that. If he got locked up in an unfamiliar place, what was he going to do? Was it going to be easy to break out, was the real question. He was capable of doing so, with the right resources, if they were going to hand him those resources. Maybe he was overthinking possibilities, but it didn't hurt to worry about the future when it was up to fate.

It... it had worked on one, but not the other? That had never happened before!. The female must have a fully-charged Resilience Card.
Well, Maeve could still use this to her advantage, she supposed. The blinded one was in view in the doorway, clearly frightened by his predicament. Even if her held it in, her Tigron's sense of smell picked up on the fear-scent.
The other one was aggressive now, as was to be expected. Casting one's Ultimate, in most cases, was rather insulting, after all. Maeve pounced forward at the being who had not been blinded, twisting so that she'd land feet first. Several yards before making contact, Maeve again twisted, jumped again without hitting the ground, and landed on top of the dresser on the opposite the one from which she had started. This was Nia's dresser, and the one closest to the door.
Maeve looked over the edge of the dresser, now directly over the female and the blinded male, although he probably wouldn't be blinded for much longer.
"Who are you, what is this place?" The Half-Tigron snapped, ignoring the female's question.

shane madej - demon - male (he/him) - buzzfeed unsolved - location; room - tags; mad king ryan
Ryan's answer just made him want to ask more questions, but he gave a nod of understanding. A crown also used as a weapon. Shane was familiar with telekinetic powers, having them himself, but he's never heard of them being connected to an item. "Like Thor, got it." He thought back on Ryan's previous statement. A king? He wondered what it was like where he lived. That's if this was all real. The concept of being pulled from your own world and into another just felt impossible to him. And that's a thought coming from a demon that's gone back and forth from Hell to Earth.

Once Ryan started to make his way towards his side of the room, Shane decided to do the same. He shoved his free hand into his pocket as he began to look around the room. There was a picture on the bedside table along with a few books of some sort. Looking closely, he could see that there was a framed picture of him with all of his co-workers. That was rather nice of whoever brought him here to put these there. Still, he couldn't help but feel that this was some kind of trap. Shane turned towards Ryan to see him staring longingly at another photo. He decided not to bother him.

"Possibly." Shane shrugged in response to Ryan's question. "Well, you know what they say, looks can be deceiving." He knew that statement very well. In fact, he's always thought he was a great example of it. Who'd ever expect that he'd be a demon? Especially with the facade of a skeptic he's been playing. His attention turned to the door. That's a good place to start. "Investigate out there, maybe?" He suggested, motioning towards the door. He took another sip before realizing he was almost finished with it. "But, to be honest with you, I'd try to enjoy the moments here before it all turns bad," Shane spoke."How many times will you get to experience this in your entire life?"

Smiling at the boy and his raccoon, Izuku gave a small dip of his head as a polite gesture. "It is nice to meet both of you," he said. It was clear that this other boy seemed optimistic at the moment and that put him at ease. Normally he was the one playing that role, but for once he could allow himself to simply follow the other boy's lead. "A castle? Hm, that means there could be several floors to explore. It could take us forever to look through this entire place." He had never personally been to a castle nor seen one in person, but from the amount of fairytales and fantasy stories he had read over the years, he was sure he couldn't be too far off on what the size of this place was. That meant the sooner they got moving, the more time they would have to explore and figure things out.

Tapping his foot quietly in thought, the teen thought over the possibilities. There was bound to be plenty of different rooms in this place. Some would prove to be more useful than others or at least in his mind they did. Maybe a library would be worth searching for to try and find any information that might be useful. Or maybe a personal study would be better. If the one that brought them here actually lived in this place then made they had a journal or something laying around that would hint at what this place was like. There really were so many options.

Snapping himself out of his thoughts, Deku lifted his gaze to meet Varian again. His question almost seemed to fit perfectly with what he had been thinking. It was a bit strange, but it was no surprise. It was the obvious thing to think given the situation. "Well, if it's information we seek, then a library might be our best starting point. I'm not sure how useful it will actually be, but it could hold useful information that would help us."

Hearing the words my lady caused Nia to freeze in place and avert her gaze back to Hysan. It had to be a coincidence he had called her such. It couldn't be possible that he knew that Dromarch addressed her in the same manner. Then again the white tiger blade had always been a polite mannered blade. It was no surprise that he'd address her as such. This guy had no reason to, but maybe it was simply how he spoke. Snapping out of her short daze, her ears flicked quickly as she remembered what was going on. The woman that had appeared had clearly ignored her which was annoying, but there wasn't much she could do. Glaring up at her, she gave a soft snort before placing her hands on her hips. "Like we know what this place is," she responded with a wrinkle of her nose. She purposefully ignored the first question, deciding that it wasn't worth her time to introduce herself to someone who had attempted to blind both her and the male beside her instead of approaching them like a normal person would. Such a tactic made her wary of the newcomer given that the only ones that ever used such tactics on her and her friends had been the Torna crew. 'Will ya just unblind this guy or are you asking for me to get all Gormotti on ya?"
