You wake in a room fit to your liking; something you might design yourself, really. However, only half of this room is to your liking. The other half is fit for someone else. You don't know how you ended up here, and you'd probably like to know. You looking around this room and examine it as best you can, hoping to find some sort of clue to why you are in a stange, unfamiliar place. Before long, you notice a letter on the bedside table, propped up beside a favourite beverage of your's. Something seems so off about this, yet so sweet. You're curious and pick up the nicely folded letter. Without much else to do, you go ahead and read it.

xxx wrote:"You've probably noticed you're in a strange place, and don't worry, I'm not the one who brought you here, however, I know who did. Welcome to Parandor Keep. This castle is grand; you might just enjoy your stay. Or you might not, only fate will tell. There are many room to explore, and many people, and animals, to meet. Be wary, though, this world isn't something not of your own. Here there are creatures 'o plenty that'll harm you, there are also friendly ones too. Watch where you wander, as you may not make it back. When the forest says keep out, you turn away. When they tell you stay away from the grand room, do not look toward it. Do not trust the one who wears a crown. Food, drinks, weapons, all kind of things are provided. Just ask and you will receive if they trust you. Good luck."

It was signed, but you could not read it. Time will only tell whether luck is in your favour or not. Let's get exploring, shall we?

☠ All Hail the Mad King (1) || ❥ Science, not Magic (1)

Postby witchingdreamons » Thu Apr 19, 2018 4:49 am

    ☠ Ryan Haywood || Achievement Hunter || Tags ;; ////
    _________________________________
    indent Mumbling something as he shifted, Ryan huffed quietly under his breath, moving so he was laying on his back. He brought a hand up to rub his face, sighing quietly. He didn't remember going to sleep or anything. He was still in his office from what he last remembered. Maybe he was just dreaming it, though, that was the only logical explanation he could think of. Pointing his arm out to the side, Ryan tried to call his crown to his hand, as he usually did after waking from a slumber. Most people respected him when he wore a crown; not just because he was already intimidating, but because his crown doubled as a weapon. It was taking longer for his crown to appear than expected. He didn't even hear it whizzing toward him. Blinking his eyes open, the Mad King sat up, pulling his hand toward his chest and glancing around the room. It didn't take long for him to realize this wasn't his own bed, or even his own familiar home. He narrowed his eyes a bit at the window, listening to the birds chirp outside. He could almost sense how different his surroundings were. He naturally didn't feel some sort of magic after waking up.

    indent He swung up legs over the edge of the bed, running a hand through his hair as he sat there, contemplating what he was going to do. None of his friends were rich enough to own a place like this, no offence to them, but it was true. Ryan's gaze soon caught sight of the letter and the cup of his preferred beverage; Red Wine. A small grin appeared on his face as he picked up the letter and the glass in his free hand. He took a sip as his eyes traveled along the words of the letter. He huffed, setting the letter aside as he chugged the rest of the wine. His mind seemed to be stuck on one sentence. 'Do not trust the one who wears a crown'. Sure he wore a crown, but did whoever did this know what he's done? Ryan's expression showed worry. He didn't know how many other people were there and if they knew him. He might have been over-worrying but it wasn't going to hurt to keep his guard up.

    indent Sighing, Ryan stood up, brushing off his kilt a bit, flattening it out to make him look a little more proper. He seemed to examine the room as he walked to the window, turning and leaning back on it. He didn't understand why he was there. What purpose did he serve here? He had better things to do back at home, where people didn't think about stepping up to him. Holding out his hand again, the king tried to summon his crown again. Mostly for protection, really. It took a minute or two but his face seemed to light up as he heard the distant whizzing. What he didn't expect was for the crown to come through the window he was standing at. At least it wasn't going to destroy anything. Grasping the crown as it flew into his hand, Ryan swiftly put it on his head. He didn't feel like tying it to his belt. It was a 50/50 chance that he was going to be immediately trusted. The letter didn't help his chances, but what was there to lose?

    ♣ Varian || Tangled The Series || Tags ;; ////
    ______________________________________
    indent Varian had already been awake for maybe twenty minutes. He already explored the room as much as he could and now he was sitting cross-legged on the floor, swishing around chemicals in one of his test tubes, using his free hand to scratch the head of his Raccoon, Rudiger. He didn't exactly want to leave the room just yet. Sure, he could go and explore wherever he was on his own, but he didn't know who he'd run into, and Varian wasn't exactly prepared to make a great escape from danger, so there he was, sitting on the floor, mixing together smoke bombs for a time of escape. Someone had provided him with some alchemy tools and such on his side of the room, which he was thankful for. It was more organized than his basement back in Corona, but alchemy was alchemy no matter where he was. The room was also nicer than the cell he remembered being in last. He barely had access to anything considered dangerous there. Maybe the people of this new place had no clue what he was capable of.

    indent Or maybe they did. Varian had to be brought there for a reason. If the person who brought him here knew anything, they probably knew who he was. He had some sort of significance in this show, and that could be anything, really. If he could guess anything, there must have been a chance he was needed, or he wasn't. It was all up to fate. Varian was familiar with the dance of fate. The alchemist wasn't exactly a fan of it, but what could you do. All he could really do was face fate one-to-one, whether it be good or bad. At this point, Varian didn't care. He didn't have much to lose besides his only friend Rudiger, and if fate dared to touch his raccoon, Varian was sure as heck going to try and stop anything bad happening.

    indent With the hand petting Rudiger, Varian picked up the raccoon and set him on his shoulder, standing up and brushing himself off. He quickly put his smoke bomb mixture behind his apron before picking up whatever tools he took from the desk and putting them back where he found them. The alchemist glanced at the window, tightening one had into a fist and huffing. He had to explore at some point, and there was no need to keep hanging around the room he was in. "Are you ready to explore, Rudiger? We've got plans of getting home. Can't do that if we're stuck here." Glancing over to his raccoon, Varian seemed to smile a bit as he heard the familiar chatter from him. He always found it easier to talk to animals, even if others found it weird. He didn't trust other people, and he wasn't exactly going to start trusting people again now. He was back-stabbed enough. He wasn't going to risk it. Looking toward the door, the alchemist sighed, beginning to walk towards it. He didn't know what he was going to find but he wasn't chicken enough to keep staying cooped up in that room.

Hysan fluttered his eyes open at the feeling of warmth on his face. Strange. Hysan glanced around, then jolted up. This wasn't his room. Not at the Libran Embassy. Not at Libra. Not in 'Nox. Where was he? Hysan glanced around, noticing that there was another bed in the room. Though only half of his room had things he would have at his workshop under his room at Libra. Hysan swung his legs over the side of the bed. He glanced around the room before turning to the nightstand next to his bed. He reached over, noticing that there was a cub with a mercury-like substance. However, it shone like a million rainbows in the light. Abyssthe. Hysan took the cup into his hand, eyeing it curiously before going and grabbing the note. He read it quietly, downing the drink quickly. Instantly, Hysan became more aware of things the more he drank the liquid. The Abyssthe had that kind of effect, it was supposed to help you find your deepest Center-- your soul. Where your heart leads. However, it could also act like a normal alcoholic drink (not that Abyssthe contained alcohol). Once he had read the note and was finished downing down the liquid, Hysan stood and looked around his half of the room (it seemed that the other half was for someone else).

Hysan noted the drawers that were on the wall opposite of his bed, all of them unlocked save for one. A few random gadgets ran across the nightstand, things Hysan collected himself-- things from other Houses. How did they get here? Hysan eyed them before noticing something that made Hysan's heart lift instantly. He ran over to a metal table that stood at the end of his bed, running his fingers over the smooth metal. A smile decorated his face as he bent down, seeing a few tools to create things, along with a few normal things-- basic things to make simple house-chore androids. This made Hysan frown, was that all? He couldn't make something greater, like Miss Trii, or Lord Neith? He was disappointed, but noticed a golden key among the various tools. Hysan grabbed it and headed over to the drawers, specifically the locked one. Hysan bent down, opening the rawer. When he opened it, his eyes sparkled. While there were no major weapons (which could be useful), there was a single small tiny pocket gun. It was barely the size of his palm. But, knowing Hysan could only use it once, Hysan left it in the drawer. Along the gun were different gadgets: three Veiling Collars (to disappear and reappear at will), a Abyssthe-core ring (a way to communicate to various people without actually speaking to them), a few bugs, and then there was a dragonfly-like bug. Those were used in order to tune into conversations and not seem suspicious. But there was one thing that was out of place, a white stone. It was small, and light. Like Pumice, though it lacked the holes and was smooth, like a river rock from Pisces. And it was col, like ice. Hysan moved his fingers over it as he picked it up.

All of the sudden, a bunch of stars beamed out of the small stone, wrapping around him. A mini-version of the universe-- his universe. He stared at it. Of all things, he never imagine he'd find an Ephermeris here (a tool used to read the stars) though... Hysan sighed, turning the small stone off and placing it back into the drawer. He lacked the natural talent to read the stars. He depended on technology to help him... and he didn't have the right technology here. And most of what he had here wouldn't be useful, other than the pocket gun-- which he could only use once. And of course, the Veil Collars. Hysan grabbed one of the collars, and then the ring. He slipped the ring on, and then put the leather-made collar onto his neck, though didn't turn it on. Hysan closed and locked the drawer. He then explored the rest of the drawers, finding clothes and other stuff of that nature in them. Hysan got dressed into his yellow Libran uniform. He glanced around the room before walking to the door, opening it and stepping out. Only then, did he turn on his veil collar. He disappeared from view of all who were around, if anyone was around that is.

      Izuku "Deku" Midoriya
      ───────────────────────────────────
      15 Male BNHA Tagged: Varian

    It had been yet another night of restless sleep for Izuku. He seemed to be having lots of those since his encounter with Shigaraki at the mall. It had been a horrifying experience and it continued to haunt his memories every so often. Yet again it had been the reason he awoke this time. Groaning softly, the teen let a soft sigh escape his lips. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes, he pushed himself up and allowed the covers to drop into his lap. It wasn't until then that he realized the new environment he was in. Blinking in disbelief, he could feel his heart beginning to race. Where was he? What was going on? Clutching his shirt, he bit down on his lip in attempt to try and calm himself down. For all he knew this might be some kind of prank. It seemed doubtful. He had never seen a place like this back home and he was sure none of his classmates had either, expect maybe Momo. She seemed rich enough to have been in a place like this but she wasn't the type to pull pranks. The oddest part was that the place almost seemed fit just for him or at least the half of the room he was paying attention to did.

    As the thought that he had been kidnapped continued to settle into his mind, Deku began to feel panic overcome him. This couldn't be happening. He couldn't be kidnapped like this. Real heroes didn't end up in situations like this. As his eyes began to frantically scan the room for some kind of answer, they landed upon a letter. Could this be the answers he was looking for? He could only hope. Picking the letter, he took a deep breath as he prepared himself for the worst. His eyes were quick to read over the words and disappointment was quick to overcome him. He had been taken and he had no idea when he would be able to return home. That part alone caused him concern. All Might's powers were rapidly declining and he was supposed to be ready to become the next him. That couldn't happen if he was stuck in this place.

    If he hadn't been panicked enough before, he was panicked now. How had it come to this? He was ready to begin freaking out when his eyes settled upon the other boy near the door. What was he doing in the room? The thought hadn't crossed Izuku's mind that this was a shared room. Staring blankly at Varian as he approached the door, the boy couldn't help but feel slightly uncomfortable. To him the other male almost seemed calm though he could easily be hiding it. "H-hey! W-wait a second!" he called out as he swung his legs over the side of the bed. He couldn't let him leave just yet. Maybe he had more of a clue on what was happening. "A-are you stuck here too?"

      Nia
      ───────────────────────────────────
      Unknown Female Xenoblade 2 Tagged: Open

    Anger was quick to overcome her as she awoke in an unfamiliar place. Was this some dream or had she been kidnapped or maybe this was the afterlife and the world had ended? Certainly it couldn't be the latter of her ideas. She had witnessed the world surviving herself. Alrest had been saved and the titans had joined with a landmass that had long been hidden from their eyes. This couldn't be some after life. Perhaps it was only a dream then. She would have expected something much different than this from a dream though. Sharing a bedroom may have been common for her along their journey, but for it to happen in a dream, that was implausible. That only left one thing. She must have been kidnapped. Twitching her ears at the thought, she finally noticed the letter that had been left for her. Picking it up, her eyes quickly scanned over it and a soft hiss escaped her throat. How dare someone pull her from her home for their own entertainment. Or at least that was what she could assume. It was sickening. She had just gone through the trouble of helping save her own world only to be thrown into some game or whatever this could be caused. Either way it was disheartening and it left the Gormotti girl defeated. Flattening her ears, Nia gave a soft sigh.

    Pushing herself to her feet, the Gormotti girl forced her ears to perk up again as she began to observe her surroundings. There wasn't much that interested her even though half the room had clearly been decorated to suit her. The other half on the other hand was nothing in her style. She could only assume it was for someone completely different; someone she could even make out at the moment. It was unsettling. For all she knew they could have been the one to pull her in to this place. The thought caused her to wrinkle her nose. She couldn't focus on that now though. Swinging her legs over the side of the bed, Nia climbed to her feet and made her way over to the dresser on her side of the room. It had been quite some time since she had actually lived in a place. Most of her days had been spent running away until she had fallen to Torna's hands, but as soon as she joined with Rex the running began again. Pulling the top drawer open, she noticed her usual attire laying inside it. It beat wearing the underclothes she was currently in. Quickly pulling the outfit out, she put it on hoping that the other in the room wasn't paying close attention to her. She really needed to stop thinking that they were there. That'd be easiest if she simply left.

    Not bothering to gather her twin rings, the flesh eater approached the door and pushed it open. Stepping out into the hall, she gave a flick of her ears and looked around curiously. It was quiet. Almost too quiet for her liking. Ever since she had joined up with Rex and the others she was used to having rambunctious people around. Having this place lack that same energy put her off and cause a soft growl to arise in her throat. She would just have to find someone. "Hello?!" she called out.

    She knew she was dreaming, because this place looked like her old house. Her parents' house, the one they'd built for themselves on the park property. The place she had grown up in. She hadn't been back there in years; the memories were just too hard on her. Yet, for some reason, the sight of this replication of her old bedroom did not fill her with stinging sorrow. Sue slowly lifted herself off the bed, and saw her lioness pendant resting on the end table. She gently lifted it up and examined it - it was slightly weathered, just as it had been when she'd last seen it. The numbness that had thus far kept her from being devoured by her painful memories was still present, and oddly enough, not fading yet. Perhaps it was her certainty that this was not a part of her waking life which was shielding her. Regardless, she lifted her Shepherd's pendant and pulled it over her head, then took a moment to tie her hair back. With but one glance over at the other half of this room, she realized abruptly that this was not her old bedroom. It was split precisely down the middle, and the other half was entirely different. It was as though two separate rooms had been spliced together.

    Sue turned away from that, not ready to face whatever was waiting for her there. She took several deep breaths and clutched at her carved pendant, trying to stay calm. The numbness was gone, stripped away in a millisecond, and had been replaced by a visceral feeling of fear. Her heart beating wildly against the wall of her chest, Sue stepped cautiously over to the bookshelf against the wall. She didn't remember what would've actually been on the bookshelf in her old bedroom, but this bookshelf was lined from top to bottom with zoology books, with one or two oddities in there. They were probably all ones she'd read before, but they were only vaguely familiar. Nothing particularly strange. Again - familiar enough to be comforting, but different enough to not bring back long-suppressed memories of her parents.

it's me, your demon. [1]

      Shane slowly started to awaken as the sunlight hit his eyes. A soft groan emerged from him as he rubbed his eyes. "Already?" He mumbled. He was quick to sit up when he realized that something definitely wasn't right. This wasn't his apartment, but at the same time there was a familiar air to the room. It appeared to be a mix of everything familiar to him and everything he's wanted. "Sara? Ryan?" He called. They had to be around here somewhere. How else could he have gotten here? There weren't any cameras around, none that he could see. A kidnapping of some sort had to have happened. But, he wondered how anyone could kidnap him without waking him up in the process. He (more specifically, this vessel) was a lanky 6'4" bundle of limbs.

      His eyes caught sight of a cup of coffee was set on the table nearby. Next to the cup was a letter. He briefly skimmed through the letter before placing it back on the table. It wasn't a lot of help in his opinion. The letter didn't explain how exactly he got here, but at least it had some information about the place. Shane slipped out of the bed before grabbing the cup of coffee. Better to not waste it. Taking a sip, he was surprised to see that whoever got him this coffee got his exact order right. He started to look around the room when he noticed that the other half was different from the half he'd woken up in. Then, he saw a man at the window which confirmed that he wasn't the only person here.

      "Hey there," He spoke out towards the man. Just as he finished speaking, a crown from out of nowhere flew into the man's hand, and he placed it on his head. He was taken aback from the sight, but he tried to stay calm. Shane cautiously walked towards him. One line from the letter came back to him. 'Do not trust the one who wears a crown.' There had to be something supernatural or paranormal about this man, but his presence felt unmistakably human. Something else about his presence felt out of place. Like this person has done many horrible things in the past. A tainted soul, something that demons were usually drawn towards.
