Tao cocked her head to better look at the overhanging cliffs of ice and followed him northward, her feet crunching the ice. "So," she said to Anton after a few minutes, "have any family? ...or, did you, in any case?"

Anton Laughed. He faced her. "Well My Father was so raging with power that i killed him.." He said walking further into the Crunching snow. "Then i had a Freind..Who was Dear to me..But she left me on my own.."

Tao looked up at him and cocked an eyebrow. "Oh, well. I assumed this friend you spoke of left you after you became a vampire." Then she shrugged and snatched a twig full of berries off a bush. "I suppose I shouldn't assume."

"Ah..." Tao said very quietly, then said nothing for a few minutes, and pretended not to notice any sign of grief for fear of embarrassing him, so there wasn't much noise besides the wind howling around them. At length she took a breath and changed the subject. "So then! Um...thanks for sharing your kill earlier, I wasn't actually expecting that. I was meaning to tease you about taking it. It's nice to see some people with kindness and sense." She laughed. "Or vampires, rather."

"Kind?.." He Muttered walking forward his hands Brushing across the snowy oak tree's. "How can Humans Call us Kind" He sighed, hot air coming out of his mouth. "I was kind, Till My Freind left and i was Made into one of the most Foul Creature's On earth. A vampire" He sighed.

Tao cocked her head. "Foul? I do not think so. No more than a lion is foul when it hunts. Why are you so guilty?" She gave him an earnest, wide-eyed look. "It is not as though we can go without eating! And rarely do I kill the humans I drink of. Not that they realize the difference, but."
