Sure enough Dogger let out a single bark and pawed at Ethan's pack. Squatting down Sam sifted through Ethan's stuff making sure to get a through search, but not damaging anything as well. As the man had stated a glock was in the pack, but no other weapons could be found. A crap ton of medical supplies filled the bag, and water too, but Sam had noted the lack of food. Standing up Sam stowed his gun away in his holster. Zipping the bag up the thirty-three year old handed Ethan his belongs with a large smile. His once tense and cautious aura was gone and now replaced with an easy going and happy one. "Sorry 'bout that, Doc. With the world gone mad it seems people have gotten crazier too. Can't be too careful out here." Taking his own pack off Samuel began rummaging through it until he pulled out a few MRE's and a can of dog food. "Yeah I'm a handler. This here is Dogger, best damn guard dog in the world. No worries, he won't bite ya or your own partner." Just to make sure Ethan felt safe around Dogger the handler sent his dog a look. "Dogger be good." The Shepard let out a soft yap and wagged his tail. Sam handed Ethan the food with a smile. "World might of gone to crap, but that don't mean you forgot how to be a surgeon."

Kieran Upchurch
Kieramheard a knock on the door as he started to follow the little girl. He turned around and looked at it for a moment. why didnt they just come in? he slowly walked over and opened the door to see a girl and a dog. He smiled a bit at her and the dog. "I'm not a threat...but I found a little girl in here, maybe yer dog will help us get close to her help her out...her parents aint coming back." he held up his hands to show thst hes not a threat and took a few steps back. He didnt want to fight anyone with the girl around unless he had to.

Ellis Ryan Upchurch
Ellis looked at the girl for a moment. "I'm just here with my siblings searching for supplies, there was three of us when we got here including me." He chuckled a bit and looked at her dog a smiled. He loved dogs and whenever he saw one he really just wanted to pet them. He got along with humans well usually but it seemed everyone thinks hes flirting when he talks because hes so nice, but its how he was raised.

Ethan Turner | Male | 32 | Mentions: Samual

Ethan accepted the supplies but with a slight hesitance. Food had been hard to come by, but taking it from someone else didn’t do his mind a lot of justice. “Thank you. It’s not often I meet someone who’s not trying to take me out. If it’s not the dead trying to eat you, then it’s some looter after your stuff.” He slipped them into his pack, and shifted the weight to his shoulders. It was refreshing to meet someone so...sane. People these days were crazier than the undead themselves. Ethan switched his gaze to the large canine that stood close beside Handley. “That’s a good lookin’ dog you got there. Bet it’s helpful to have someone around who doesn’t run away from danger.” He made a purpose gaze at Aura, and bit back a smile. She wasn’t much of a protector, but the best company he could ask for. He chuckled a little at the nickname Handley had given him. “No matter how far into the apocalypse we get, I’ll never forget all those years of training. I guess it really was all for nothing in the end.” His eyes glazed over a little in reminiscence, but only for a brief moment, as he recalled the present. “So, Handley. You alone out here? I thought the military defences collapsed months ago.”

Mia Jones | Female | 23 | Mentions: Ellis

For some strange reason, Mia found herself believing this man. Her tensed posture relaxed slightly, and her knife was once again safely sheathed into her belt. She could see him looking at Riley. Perhaps he was an animal lover too. “Go ahead, he won’t bite. I don’t think.” A coy smile tugged gently at her lips as Riley moved forward to investigate the man. “I found a pile of cans here. You’re welcome to take some. There’s probably too many for me to carry here, anyway.” Struggling to lift her bag, she rested it against the ground in front of him and crouched, examining the contents. “What’s your name?” She asked, starting to pass him the first can.

"Thanks, Dogger is the best working dog out there. Don't praise him too much or he'll get cocky." Sam chuckled, watching as his vest-clad K9 slowly padded up to Ethan's own dog. It appeared the doctor's dog was a bit skittish, but given the circumstances Sam figured zombies would make anyone, or thing, skittish. At the mention of the military collapsing a frown replaced his smile. Exhaling a soft sigh he rubbed the back of his neck and shrugged. "Military isn't exactly gone. You can't get rid of us all, but our system went to crap. Chain of command was getting eaten up, or they ditched out of fear. A lot of camps got over run, but I can guarantee a lot of us are still out there. A few pals of mine were able to escape before our base got over run. We grabbed as much of everything that we could before booking it out. We were doing real well too, taking shifts with sleep and scouting out areas for supplies and such. Dogger and I got separated from them a few weeks back. Tried tracking them, but the Walkers smell over powers there scent. So, here we are. Walking around and hoping for the best I guess."

𝔈mhrys felt her anxiety spike as the young girl's sobbing cut through the quiet, her heart beginning to slam painfully against her ribs. where are her bloody parents? she cannot be alone out here. I refuse to believe that. the woman thought to herself, shifting her weight. wolfe seemed to react similarly, pacing along the expanse of the porch. when the door was opened to reveal a man, the saarloos wolfhound released a quiet yet stern warning growl. any movement too fast would surely mean the canine would lunge. as keiran offered a small smile, his calloused hands raised in surrender, the female studied him, making sure he seemed unarmed and harmless before she muttered quietly to her canine, who then settled at her feet.

"I'll see what we can do." emhrys told him softly, as she was unsure of what to expect from the young girl. though she had never been the type to want children of her own, it was rare, but she seemed to understand them well enough for them to trust her. snapping her fingers, the woman quickly caught her dog's attention and sent him off into the house ahead of her. wolfe yipped quietly at the command and veered through the abandoned house, following her scent toward the room she currently occupied. the canine barked quietly to alert her of his presence, crawling toward her slowly on his abdomen to appear less frightening, his bushy tassel wagging.

"he'll have her out here in no time. we should settle in, for now, close the door. I'm emhrys, by the way. that was wolfe." the huntress told him and stepped past him, into the house. in any other situation, it would have been all charm, a real snake in the grass, but the little girl needed her. she needed to be protected, as she was much too young to care for herself. sauntering past him, the woman threw herself down on the dusty couch, kicking her feet up onto the old coffee table. surely wolfe would manage to calm her down, maybe even get her to join them in the living room. who didn't love dogs?

Ellis Ryan Upchurch
Ellis smiled and crouched down holding out his hand toward the dog so he could sniff it. He looked at the girl. Instead of taking the can he pushed it back towards her lightly. "I'm Ellis, and this is Denver." He paused for a moment before continuing."ya know..instead of leaving, ya could come with me and my siblings, we have plenty of room and plenty of dog food so the dogs always have food, but usually they eat better than just dog food, thats just for when we are running low."

Kieran Upchurch
Kieran looked at the girl for a moment and watched as her dog walked off. He walked over slowly and sat down on the opposite end of the couch from her. He heard the girl crying and he felt bad; its like it was hurting him to hear her and yet he didnt know why. He hoped the dog could cheer her up a bit but if that didnt work then he would have to go in there himself. Hes never been around kids much and defintely never took care of one but ahe needed help and he didnt want the girl sitting a few feet from him to take her, he had more people he could protect her better. He looked to the girl as she introduced herself. "I'm Kieran."

Enid BlackBurn

Enid, still shaking, got to her feet with the ladie's help. She wiped a tear from the side of her cheek, and sighed." Who the hell are you?" She asked, shrugging. She tried to walk backwards slowly without the woman noticing, but the dog was right behind her, and she was terrified. It would be a way to go if she died by a dog.

𝔈mhrys took the time to study him, revelling in the awkward silence that seemed to permeate the air. he was cute, she'd give him that. the woman was generally appaled by facial hair, but he seemed to make the stubble work. it was then that her gaze turned to his hands, to the slight tan on the top and the calluses along his palms. pursing her lips slightly, emhrys took a moment to suppress her slight anxiety regarding new people and tucked a lock of hair behind her ear, glancing up to meet his eyes. pursing her lips slightly, she slowly began to speak.

"you used to do farm work, didn't you?" she began softly, jerking her chin toward his hands, as though to explain why it had been said. the old tan lines seemed obvious, and he seemed untamable, in the same way as a stallion, almost ruggedly wild. "I don't plan to pry. I'm just trying to make conversation." she added quickly, almost sheepishly, turning her gaze away from him quickly.

Ethan Turner | Male | 32 | Mentions: Samual

“Finding people in this world isn’t easy. I’ve been all over, trying to track down a few people I know. I found a few of ‘em alright. Didn’t expect my cousin to try and rip my face off, though.” He smiled subtly. It was useless trying to track down people you know. They were either gone, dead or turned. “So where are you headed, Handley? Just looking for your group? Or heading somewhere now in particular.” Ethan didn’t have his own answer to this. Somewhere safe perhaps? Maybe find a few people. Anywhere was better than the riddled streets of Colorado.

Mia Jones | Female | 23 | Mentions: Kieran

Mia slowly placed the can back inside her bag, and slowly stood up as she considered his offer. “You’re offering me a place to stay? You have better trust than me, I’ll give you that.” She threw the bag across her shoulder and held out here to shake his. “I’m Mia. This is Riley.” She gestured to the dog who’d taken an interest in Ellis, and licked his hand gently. “So. How far is this place of yours? Hope it’s close. This bag weighs a ton.” Living alone for so long did have its flaws. And Ellis’ persuasion did appeal to her very much. Food had been hard to come by. And finding this was pure luck. But what use was it if she could not protect it?

River Upchurch
River looked at the girl and smiled lightly. "Im River." she noticed the girl move backwords a bit but Nashville got in her way and started to sniff her shoes and pants. "I promise we aint a threat."

Ellis Ryan Upchurch[
Ellis looked to the girl and smiled. He pet the dog over the head as he licked his hand and then turned to her. He grabbed ahold of her hand lightly but not too light and shook it. "I'm Ellis and this is Denver." Ellis smiled and chuckled a bit. "Well ive got some trust that ya wont try and kill us, and everyone needs human contact once ina. While atleast."

Kieran Upchurch
Kieran was looking toward the hallway where the girl had ran and then turned to the girl once she asked him a question. He looked down at his hands as she gestures toward them. "yeah some of the work ive done is, mostly fixin' and rebuildin' cars though." He looked back to the hallway as he heard the girl again. He closed his eyes and leaned against his right hand as it rested on the arm rest nect to him.
