In the wreckage of the ship, a lone, small gem lay abandoned among scraps of metal, hidden away from sight. All of the sudden, the gem glowed and rose up. White light took shape until Rock Crystal had reformed herself. Exhausted, she dropped down. It took her a minute to get back by her sense. Dammit. The crash landing had poofed her. She considered herself lucky she had been dropped out of sight.

She looked around and to her relief, the place was empty. Slowly but surely, she crawled out of the ship. When she came out, she blinked in confusion. There were tall organic things all around, brown with green on top. She recorded it all for later reference. Hm. Maybe she could use those tall things to climb and take a better look, seeing as all those things blocked her view. After a bit of testing, she found she could easily grab onto them, and started her climb.

“Thank you. Now if you could just throw it up high into the air...” she spread out her finger stubs as white sparks of electricity flew between them. She waited for the Quartz to do as she said. Once the metsl was in the air. She fired a huge bolt towards the center of it. It slit into two and a blue gem came flying out.The now two metal pieces slammed on to the floor of the ship. Onyx caught the gem and immediately bubbled it.

As Iolite lay there peacefully, a hand came up and grabbed the branch she was on. “Ahh!” Iolite gasped in shock. The hand belonged to a gem, looking to be from White Diamond’s branch. Once she saw the gem, her face immediately faded from shock to unamusement. “Uhh.., who are you? And why’d you disturb my nap you jerk.” She said bitterly, crossing her arms.

Rock Crystal almost let go from the surprise when a gem she hadn't seen up there gave a shout. She quickly jumped onto another branch. Oh bugger. She should have turned invisible. Looks like she had tumbled into the Iolite. Hopefully she wouldn't make her too mad.

When the Iolite started speaking, Rock Crystal felt conflicted. It was job to remain hidden from the other gems. Should she give her name? Instead, she merely backed off a bit, keeping her eyes on the Iolite in case she got dangerous.

“Hello? You gonna answer me? What are you? A Rock Crystal? Yeah. Looks about right.” She lifted her arm to her gem where her left eye should have been as it started to glow. She pulled out her long arrow headed spear and held it in her palms. Then, she shoved it into the tree and climbed on top of it to meet the gem at her higher branch. “Can I call you Rocky? Yeah. You look like a nickname type of person.” She smirked.

Great. The Iolite knew what gem she was. Even if she turned invisble now, her disguise was ruined. She was a worthless gem. She should be shattered for her incompetence.

Just as she thought that, the Iolite produce a weapon from the gem in her eye. Immediately, Rock Crystal reached her gem, that started to glow. She was half-way pulling out her own weapon when the Iolite shoved it in the organic thing. Taken by surprise, she abruptly stopped, blinkiing in confusion.

...A nickname. Seriously?

Rock couldn't make heads or tails of this gem. She just nodded, still weary. Fearing the gem would attack her if she didn't explain her lack of speech, she pushed back the weapon and touched her gem. The Iolite's voice came out of it, words cut out and rearranged to make a new sentence.

"I...are...Rock Crystal. Can." She shook her head. "Answer."
