cassiopeia waited until it was four and a half minutes since amy had gone inside cabin three, and walked up to the door,
knocking with a special knock she had created on a whim two summers ago. "amy, come on out if you wanna chat," she said, turning and leaning on the porch railing, slowly watching the scenery of the cabin area as newcomers and early-comers trickling into their respective cabins to say hello to their siblings and unpack for the summer.
she felt the gentle breeze blow her messy hair out of her face, probably messing up the bun more than it was supposed to be messed up. camp half-blood was her home, and has been for over ten years. she smiled, knowing the camp will be inhabited by a lot of campers instead of the few that go year-round.

asher sat on top of the dock, the lower half of his legs making circles in the water. His button-up shirt was rolled up and a set of watercolors sat on his lap. With his luck, his drawings somehow never seemed to get messed up. He appreciated the small token from his mother.
he looked up at the sky with a gentle face, his sparkling sea-colored eyes clashing with the bright colors of the daylight. he had just arrived an hour or two ago, and instantly felt much more at home then he ever did in downtown New York.
