"Does that really matter at this point?" Her eyes stared at her patient of sorts coldly. Actuhar seemed to perk up when she mentioned blades, although it was out of envy rather than interest. She looked down at the hilt, mumbling, "you'd end up complaning even if one of their blades ended up being your equal." Her voice was a whisper as she said this, directed down at the blade as it released a frustrated energy. He wasn't talking quite yet.

She stepped away, eyeing a few weapons racked near the training field. Her hand closed around a quarterstaff, lifting it to test its weight. After a moment she deemed it a worthy weapon for training purposes and turned around to face the other two. Pointing one end at the man. "If I shouldn't be part of this then you should give me a reason why." She already knew this was a challenge, two of her defensive abilities had been set up only moments before. The one thing she truly had to worry about was the fire.

To compensate for this she lifted a bit of her cloak, holding it in her mouth as her finger traced a pattern onto her left forearm. Her mouth released the fabric, allowing it to return to it's back hanging by her side. With that she charged at him, digging the end of the staff into the ground in an effort to gain some sort of height advantage. She was forced to use psionics to obtain the height necessary. She then swung the staff at him, a clumsy line becoming smooth as circular runes appeared around the staff.

geralt of rivia | the witcher | location - training grounds | tagged - Risyn, Ame

      "...What?"

Geralt paused from where he'd been carefully massaging warmth back into his arm, his Swallow potion allowing the skin to knit back together neigh instantly. Phantom pains still lingered, but he'd been through way too much to be bothered by such trifle annoyances. Still, being challenged right after a blood-pumping fight with a woman like Risyn was a bit surprising. Maybe his words had hit home for the young lady. With a grunt of exertion, the Witcher stood from his crouched position, languidly stretching his lean, powerful body like that of a feline.

"Ahh...that's the stuff," he rolled his neck one last time, before turning piercing golden eyes towards Ame. "Now, look, little lad-" Geralt's gruff voice was abruptly cut off as she immediately charged at him, slamming her staff into the ground in order to leap high into the air. Her movements were pretty swift, for what seemed like a pretty normal cat...girl...being. For a Witcher like him, however?

Without even drawing Aerondight, Geralt sharply lashed out, his left, armored forearm swinging forward to slam into the staff with a solid, meaty 'thump'. At the exact same time, the Witcher twisted his lower body to the left, his feet sliding across the gravel as he directed a fast, powerful roundhouse kick towards the girl's midsection.

Thing about jumping into the air, was that you couldn't move as fast as you could on the ground. She had to learn that the hard way. Hell, he'd play her little game, for now.

Her form was thrown into the ground after he kicked her side. She dropped the staff, rolling across the ground for a moment before pushing herself back up. Shakily she wiped some blood from her mouth, glaring at her opponent. Then she vanished from the physical plane, entering the astral.

She could see the energy moving around her, forming clusters around intelligent beings. She swiftly picked up quarterstaff, and sidestepped behind the witcher. Carefully she posed the staff at his back, then returned to the material plane. She'd left it for what had been roughly a second before striking. The end of the staff dug into his back before she jumped back, taking up a defensive stance.

Finally Ame established a connection, entering his mind as she began to dig through information. A name popped up, followed by several more before she snapped her focus back to reality and preparing some form of a physical defense. Several runes appeared before her, forming a shield of sorts as she took in a few deep breaths in an effort to recover from the first hit.

      Blue The Agent
      ───────────────────────────────────
16 Male Splatoon Ground Troops Tagged: Risyn, Geralt & Ame (Mentioned)

It hadn't been long since he had arrived on the training grounds, but it had been long enough for him to see a short bit of the battle that had taken place between Risyn and Geralt until Ame had interrupted it. Watching such only gave him a feeling of uselessness and caused a frown to form on his face. All these people had such incredible abilities yet here he was. He couldn't even compare to them in the slightest. Twitching his ears nervously, Blue's attention was once again drawn back to the three as fighting erupted again. He could hear the words being spoken. The word kid stuck out immediately to him and caused his ears to droop as his fangs dug into his lower lip. To most here he was nothing more than a kid, but it had been his choice to join and fight not their leader's. Certainly there were plenty of others his age among their ranks as well. Noticing that he bit down too hard on his lip and drawn blood, he immediately lifted his fangs from their place and wiped the blood away.

Watching the scene unfold before him, he winced as Ame and Geralt began beating on one another. Sometimes he wondered why training was like this. He recalled his own training back home before he became an agent and it was never anything like this. Even when his team trained for the competitive games his kind played they had never gotten this way with one another. To think they were all supposed to be on the same side was hard to believe.

He wanted to speak up so badly and get them to stop but he couldn't find his own voice. It was already a disadvantage for him that his speech was quite broken. Learning to speak the same language that these humans spoke had been a struggle for him. It was a language he had never known and he guessed belonged to the humans. It was quite possible it had been lost after humans had gone extinct in his world. Nevertheless, he found himself standing there staring at the scene with his mouth wide open as if he was about to speak yet nothing came out. He probably looked like some weakling standing there.

Closing his mouth once again and chewing on his lip, Blue found himself troubled. He could always grab one of the splat bombs dangling on his back and throw it at the group to get them to stop, but then he'd put himself in danger of being attacked and dragging himself into the whole thing. That was the last thing he wanted. Instead he kept to the side, quietly watching.

(Hope you guys don't mind me kinda just throwing him at the side. If ya don't want him there he can easily leave and do something else)

xxxxxAfter finishing up her discussion with the girl, the knight went off once more to find another who she could converse with. Normally she would consider training at this time, but to be honest, after walking perimeters for a few hours, you just need someone to talk to, even if you don't know who they are at first. Then again, checking the training grounds could be a pretty easy place to find a group of people. With that thought, the girl quickly placed her hand on the hilt of her sword as she normally did and began walking quickly towards the training grounds, eyes a bit brighter than usual.

xxxxxUlquiorra listened to Lynx speak, adjusting his standing position slightly. His gaze returned to the Slayer in front of him before he continued talking. Unlike most, Ulquiorra wasn't afraid to act brash or hurt anyone's feelings in this and so he continued to act naturally, speaking what he had in mind. "That's interesting. I wouldn't assume there are people used to constantly speaking. I can't say I am aware of such existences in my world. So, would you happen to have brought a subject of some sort you'd like to discuss?" The male asked before he continued looking around again.
xxxxxThe Hollow didn't know what he had expected from the people here, but currently, Ulquiorra couldn't find interest in any of them in specific. To be completely honest, he found the Beasts more intriguing than any person he had seen or talked to that day. Of course, the vast array of outfits and features slightly peaked Ulquiorra's interest, nothing here could hold it for very long. Then again, he wasn't known as being the mark of "Emptiness" for anything. He only seemed to care about something if it were somehow a threat to him or just something curious in the world, like emotions... And sure, there were obvious present emotions around the base, but they were all things he had faced too many times, despair, pain and sadness. And to be blunt, he was bored of the same, dull expressions.

There was a high possibility that his friends where dead, but he had to keep telling this self they where alive somewhere..or else he might break down. It was true that his friends where super strong, but..maybe there was somethings they cant take on alone. Just thinking about about it made chopper go into a trace, but Zelda's word manged to snap him out of it. He nodded at Zelda's question." Of course..i'll help you out." the reindeer placed his notebook back in his bag, preparing to follow behind Zelda. He needed to get his mind off somethings..maybe this would help

The khajiit snickered at his remark on talking, not taking any offence of course, as he was called worse back in his world. Lynx realized that the person in-front of him was dull. Not having any problem of him, he wondered why he was dull. Minding his business as it was not his to worry about, nor anyone should. He took a small breath in but you couldn't really tell with his red and black toned armor if it weren't for his breath emitting out. "Where I come from, everytime I walk around people have the nerve to talk. And when you fight monsters such as dragons and devour their souls, the noise fills your head and when it goes silent, it rings in my ears.. Might not be the case for you... but I envy you... Speaking your mind" He flicked his ear getting a little tired.. not of this conversation... but in general "No subject I need to bring up... But one question... How do you speak your mind like that? intregued at how he has the guts to do that, without even getting in trouble... At least that is what Lynx thinks

After seeing that the man needed no help, the boy finished his breakfast quietly. It was hard to keep himself from drifting off into his own thoughts, but he needed to stop thinking of his home at some point in time. It had been long enough for him to get over it yet he still couldn't. Wrinkling his nose slightly, he picked up his dishes and returned them to the kitchen before making his way toward the exit. He had no plans of training this morning not with a mission supposedly happening later in the day. The last thing he needed to do was tire himself out and be too worn out to go along. Plus his sword depended on him to power it at this point now that Pyra and Mythra were no longer around. It was unfortunate but it was the sad reality he had to deal with.

Shaking it off, he made his way outside only to see the commotion off in the distance. It appeared that several of the others seemed to be sparring. From what he could make out there were two separate battles taking place. Seeing that lightning was involved he assumed that their leader was at it. It wasn't often that he was out and about, but anyone would have known by now that electricity was his strongest element. He had seen it in action out in battle against the beasts before, but never had he actually seen it used in a sparring match. Honestly, he had never seen Robin ever spar with the others. From what he picked up from others the older male was a seasoned war tactician and spent far more time reading strategy books and studying tactics than actually practicing his own combat skills. Nevertheless, it was good to see he had come out for once. He figured being cooped up inside reading all the time wasn't necessarily a good thing.

Almost becoming entirely lost in his studying of the action in the distance Rex almost didn't notice the girl up ahead until he was about a foot and a half away. Abruptly stopping himself, a sheepish smile was quick to cross his face. He'd seen this girl before on several occasions actually although he hadn't necessarily spoken directly with her. He was aware that she was in the same group as himself. Taking a few steps back, he rubbed the back of his neck out of embarrassment. How had he so easily become distracted and not noticed he was about to run into her until he had gotten that close? "Oh, um, I'm sorry I almost just ran you over," he spat out nervously, his heavy accent coating his words as he spoke.

Offering a smile in his direction, the princess pushed herself in the direction of the lab the healers had been given to create their potions in. "I appreciate you willing to help. I am still learning so any help is greatly appreciated to help be progress," she told him. As embarrassing as it might be that she really wasn't that great of a healer, she wasn't afraid to admit such and receive whatever help she could. Besides, they all needed to work together so they could live and try to take back their homes. If only she could use her power to help, but it had been quiet ever since her arrival thus fighting wasn't much of an option for her. Sure she could use the light bow to protect herself, but helping others seemed like a better option to assure that the best fighters stayed healthy and able to fight on. Stopping at the entrance to the lab, she pushed open the door and made her way inside. Pulling her bag off her waist, she set it down on the nearest table and opened it up to begin pulling out the various flowers and herbs she had brought back. "I hope I grabbed enough."

xxxxxSaber continued to walk around the training field, her gaze wandering to the fight happening in the training field. It amazed her how the people here were trained as she hadn't expected others to possess such strength and agility here. As she was a trained knight, it was expected of her tto have decent combat skills, however the commonfolk didn't. Then again, she had no knowledge of the backgrounds of the people here as she hadn't really spoken with any of them. At least not about that sort of stuff. Normally when she had spoken to the others, it was about combat or organizing attacks to be efficient as that was normally what she did in battle along with joining the front lines to lead the army.

xxxxxSaber stopped suddenly when she saw another in front of her and leaned back against the foot behind her to distance herself slightly from the figure. Due to instinct, her body tensed up but as she realized the one in front of her wasn't an enemy as no one within the town should've been, she relaxed slightly and dropped her hand from her weapon. Opening her mouth to apologize, she heard the boy speak before and stopped herself short, not wanting to interrupt him. "Ah. It's really no problem. I'm to blame as well, I wasn't exactly paying much attention to where I was going." She said quickly, obviously sensing how nervous the male in front of her was. With a small smile, the knight held out a hand. "The name's-" Nearly saying 'King Arthur' as her title, she stopped herself before continuing. "Saber. And could I ask who you are?"

Ulquiorra Cifer • Unknown • Male • Bleach • Sky Fighters • Tags: Lynx

xxxxxUlquiorra listened to Lynx talk, his disinterest not seeming to show through his already bland personality. But even so, if he wasn't interested, the Hollow was still prone to listening as who knew when some useful information wold pop out of nowhere, or at least, he could assess a possible target in this way. When asked the question, Ulquiorra pondered it for a moment before tilting his head slightly upwards to stare up towards the sky before speaking. "It's not like I don't suffer the same circumstances as you. Yes, I do fight in my daily life, I have rules to abide to and such but speaking your mind shouldn't have to deal with any of that. Even if your commander or whatever higher-up you have disagrees or bans you from speaking, it's the right of anyone to say what they want to say. At least, it's better than lying to someone about what you believe. That tends to just cause future issues and so, if you strike the iron while it's hot instead of trying to work around it, normally the future will seem just a bit brighter for you. But that's really about it. Honestly, if you don't fear your higher-ups as much as the majority, you can speak your mind more easily." Turning his head towards Lynx for the second "real time" in their conversation, he finished off his small monologue. "Does that answer your question?"

Holly shrugged at Edward's comment about how her kind could be hated, "Eh, according to those actually involved it was mainly a race thing; though fear was also a contributing factor since someone turning into a giant bird, feline, or dragon with little effort is probably pretty intimidating."

Her eyes then went wide in awe at the display the boy before her showed, even if the explanation behind his 'alchemy' was hard for her to understand, "That is...wow." is all she could say, "I didn't ever think something like that was even possible!" she paused for a moment before continuing, "Can every human in your realm do this 'alchemy' thing?"

Cloudrunner smiled back at the girl, "It is very nice to meet you, Poppi" he said. Good, he still at least had enough social skills to maintain a conversation.

Before he could say more Poppi spoke again, her question an inquiry as to how he was speaking to her, "The language spoken among my kind is one that can't be understood by those of other species; to make up for it, we use telepathy to speak to them. Its a very useful skill, especially if you don't want everyone to know what you are saying. I can extend my range from just one person to even a whole group." he paused before continuing, "I guess, in battle, it can come in handy so to not alert opponents to plans and tactics given among us."
