"The sky," said Milo lethargically, pointing up at it, then letting his hand drop. "Clouds. Birds. The occasional airplane."

She rolled her eyes. "And what's down?" she asked with a grin.

Milo closed his eyes and leaned further back, puling his legs under him so he was leaning completely against the cold stone wall. "Does it even matter?" he asked tiredly, not honestly caring.

"Somebody's in a grouchy mood." She sighed, messing with her ring. There were words printed on the inside. She glimpsed the words but couldn't bring herself to read thm fully.

"I'm not grouchy," protested Milo vaguely, still with his eyes closed. "I'm homesick. There's a difference."

"Well aren't you just all that and STUBBORN." He grinned.

Luna rolled her eyes. "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me." She laughed.

"Yeah." She muttered, shoving the ring on her finger before she started crying. She didn't even know why she wore it, it just brought bad memories. "I can't really help you with that. This place is too... Small. I feel claustrophobic." She said, remembering New York and Chicago. The big city. The only place she'd ever lived at.

Milo shrugged, then coughed awkwardly to break the silence. "So... um, did you have a good first day of school?"

She shrugged. "As far as first days of school go." She allowed a grin to slide across her face. "Haven't met any mean girls yet. Know they'll come someday." She added.

"If it doesn't hurt you then why do you try so hard to find a comeback?" He asked with a laugh.

"Mean girls?" asked Milo, taking on a high-pitched girly voice. "I could slap you across the face for your smack, girl," he said, standing and putting his hands on his hips. Then he laughed and returned to his normal new yorker accent. "Sorry. Talking like that makes me sound ridiculous."
