Escape to the Beach

You are an artist, whether you are a Writer, are a Poet, a Musician, or anything like that. You are tired and stressed from your work, so you pack your bags, and head out for a trip to the beach.You probably will work on whatever you do a small amount, but most of your day will be spent relaxing in the sun on the beach. You don't know anyone, but you will hopefully make friends and get to know new people. You stay in an apartment near the beach or in a beach hut.

You may make boyfriends/girlfriends, but this is not a Romance RP, so don't try and find one.
No Mary/Gary Sues
No Power-playing or God-modding.

There is no character limit, but you have to keep them all active without being boring.
This is a Semi-Lit RP, so I would like to see at least 5 sentences per post, good grammar, good spelling, and good punctuation. The occasional typo is OK, but no chat-speak!
It is preferable for your character to be over 20, though younger is accepted it is not preferred (I don't want 20 billion teens)
You can start either; At the beach/At wherever you stay around the beach; traveling down; or still at your home, packing to leave. All the action will be at the beach-y place though, so don't stay home for too long!

Looks: Alison has long, wavy brown hair, which she often wears tied up in either a pony-tail or a bun. She had fair skin, and is quite well tanned. She is fairly muscular and fit. She normally wears black three-quarter length shorts, a light 'sky' blue t-shirt, and blue and black running shoes. She also normally wears a gold 'chain' necklace and a pair of silver-and-blue earrings.

Personality: She is very athletic, and loves swimming, running, cycling... Anything to do with exercise, though not weight-lifting so much. She is very friendly, certainly not shy, or at least, that is how she appears. She really is quite a shy person, and normally anti-social, but she makes herself go out and make friends.
History: She grew up happily, although school gave her trouble, she excelled at maths. and English, but in History and almost everything else she was a failure. She ended up quitting school, and being home-schooled by her parents, making her feel in a way like an outcast. However, it had a plus. She got to spend more time on the things she loved, and as a child, wanted to be either a writer or a scientist. She gave up the dream of being a scientist a few years ago, falling in love with writing, and finally discovering what she truly wanted to be. A poet.

Nathaniel is very easy to spot in a crowd. He is quite tall, at 6'3". He is quite slim and slightly muscular. His hair is bright red, but it almost seems unnatural in sunlight, as the sun bleaches it more orange than it really should be. His eyes are dark green. He is above average, but has a rather large nose, which distracts from his better features, such as his smile. He prefers to wear jeans, which usually end up with holes in the knees. He cannot tan worth anything, so he usually is pink from sunburn when he forgets his sunscreen. He wears t-shirts, and has a pair of battered, once bright red converse he brings everywhere.

He was a very brave and foolhardy boy until he was 17. He was staying after school to study for a final, when some kids he thought were his friends tricked him into going into the basement. He was tricked into the boiler room, and left over the weekend completely by himself, with no company other than his thoughts and fears. A janitor found him after school the next Monday.
For weeks afterward, he told a wild story to his fellow classmates about how he saw a girl, about 15 and wearing clothes from the 1950's, in the boiler room. He chattered about how she told him what happened to her, and some of their conversations. The whole thing ended with the ghost girl kissing him right before the janitor arrived. No one believed him. He was left with a fear and respect of ghosts, a fear of dark places, and a certain amount of distrust of friends.
